  • Incheon is the city with lots of historical event because it is a port city.
Ever since the port was opened, many Chinese, Japanese and westerner came and they fought each other to take over Korea.
For example, Sino-Japanese war, Russo-Japanese War, Korean War.
None of the war had really nothing to do with Korean people but rather they are affected by whoever stronger at that time.
By the way, people who died the most during Sino-Japanese war were Koreans.
Geographically Korea is located in the middle of strong power, China, Russia, Japan and the USA.
Now the USA and China are the stronger, therefore South and North Korea are heavily influenced by the USA and China.
We just have to be smart, this is how we, small country to survive, of course, I wish Korea gets stronger and influence others or at least be fully independent.
Anyway, I didn't expect this Incheon video to be very historical but well, this is Incheon after travelling several days in Incheon.
Enjoy it and I will see you again in different city of Korea.

Everytime I hear Incheon = Operation Chromite! jaja
A Japanese and Chinese settlement so close to one another :O. Do you know if there are still people from thoose countries living there, or it's just more about the style now? I love how Seoul and Incheon have mountains around them, you can get beautiful views!
I saw a lot of thoose open spaces from the train last time, didn't know they where for salt :D Great video! ^^ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! =)

Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 to you too, Japanese settlement, goverment decorated buildings lately make them look like Japanese building, no Japanese people whatsoever, China town also somewhat recreated by goverment to make it a tourist stop as far as I know, however they do have many Chinese people living and working there mostly HWAGYO Chinese resident or Chinese workers from China seeking for opportunities.
70% of Korea are mountains ⛰, I want to travel again but at the same time I want to work to make money(delivery job) and study Spanish to prepare for the future, so many things to do haha.

Hi JC I lived in Incheon since 1994 and my family still lives there and I live in Goyang now, many places in the video I have never been before haha. I didn't know Incheon has so many historical sites, I didn't intend this video to be full of historical stories and sites.

Incheon...wow, so much to see, you did a great job showing the area.
I love how there is so much of your history preserved and that they allow the public to actually enter and closely look at it. The old government building in the school grounds was awesome...I can't imagine having something like that in a school, so cool! It is awesome to see how the old and new are side by side but blend with each other.
The view from Munhaksan mountain is just so mind blowingly beautiful, I am surprised you can see so far, I have heard the air pollution is quite bad over there and thought it would affect visability. I always find it interesting how different the historical architecture is in different countries, when you were showing us Hwadojin and said it was about 150 years old, I was kind of mentally comparing it to the Queenslander house I grew up that is almost as old and they are just so different.
I'm glad to see you got to spend time with your family and it looks like you had some fun. For me the hardest part of Covid bas been the separation of family, two of my children are adults and live away from me, my middle child lives across the country and we haven't seen her for nearly 2 years now due to all the travel restrictions.
I found the parts about the Korean war interesting, I have some family that fought during it and really don't know much more than that they went to help protect South Korea who had been invaded by North Korea.
Thank you again for another great vid, wonderful content and great camera work! (Sorry for my long comments)

Hi, thank you so much for watching a really long video.
Korea war is something that is recent and had huge impact on our lives so we should really not forget about that, I would love to make a complete video of Korea war someday.
Corona virus is terrible, I hope you can meet your family soon.

Hey, you have become my history teacher, love the information of all the places we visit with you. All the architectural of the old buildings are so beautiful. The view off the Mountain was so magnificent. Pretty cool of where the American and the Korea sign one of their first treaty. Enjoyed seeing your family in the video. Freedom Park was stunning to see and could not believe that you did have fall colors there even though it was December. Have ever been to Hawaii. It is breathtaking. If you get a chance to go, you need too. Just every place you showed today was so awesome. Hope you and your family have a very Happy New Year 🎆

This shows so much more of Incheon than what I had found so far.
I already plan on visiting Incheon, and now I know more about its History! Thank you so much!
That bridge looks so much longer than I ever remember it! haha
I'd love to check out the first Jjajangmyeon in Incheon. Taste the difference with the Jajangmyeon as we know it :)

Hi Juno hope your having a great 2024. I will be visiting Incheon soon to create more content. I have a quick question, where is the Russo-Japanese War Memorial that you showed exactly located? Is it at the Port of Incheon? Is that near Wolmindo Island? Thank you again for your videos, they are awesome and I've learned a lot. Wish you and your family many blessings!

Hi, I am doing great, search Yeonan pier, or Yeoman Buds in Incheon, that is where Japan secretly torpedo to the Russian ship, they destroyed the Russian navy ships first then they declared the war, they built the memorial to remember those who died in 2004 to remember 100th years after the war. Hope you have a great time in Korea.
