Love your videos. Purchased all the sew simple shapes for hometown but disappointed that I cannot find a page which lists what shapes to cut for each house. I’m not using all her fab so it’s impossible to figure out what shapes to pull. Any thoughts?
you can download the cutting guide from riley blake and it will tell you what you need by the fabric... otherwise, I'd go to her blog and pull up each week's post. She lists the shapes that you need for each one.
Lori, I’ve started my very first appliqué quilt by Lori Holt. I have a question about quilting. Should my long arm quilter actually stitch over the top of my appliqué blocks or should I have it custom quilted? Im just not sure how it’s supposed to be done. I would appreciate any advice you could give me.
It's really your decision and a conversation to have with your long armer... I've done it both ways. You can definitely quilt through all the layers, but ultimately it's your decision.
It depends. I have purchased several kits, which are nice because some prints you need more than a fat quarter. My wonderful hubby has given me a few fq bundles. Background fabrics I purchase yardage.
Thanks again, love the cheat sheets!!
You're very welcome
Thank you yes the bags are a great idea

Do you buy fat quarters (for the most part)?
