Thank you for this loving tribute to Lou ❤.… He, like Alden and Grinnell before him, brought us all a great deal of joy as he navigated the Ways of the Campanile and our dear Annie. So hard to say goodbye to any of our beloved webcam friends, but the untimely losses of three beloved tiercels in as many years are incomprehensible. I know, “nature,” but still I wish for a few years without such upheaval. For Annie’s sake as well as ours. So, holding on to hope for the newest New Guy as I wish Sweet Lou adieu! ♥️
I discovered the Cal Falcon nest cam just last year and just loved what a wonderful falcon parent and mate Lou was. I’m sad that I won’t have another chance to see him do all his wonderful “falcon dad” stuff. Be well Lou and thanks for a fun time last spring

As quick as Lou arrived and healed our broken hearts after the loss of Alden, he has left just as quick and broke our hearts again. Lou was so cute, funny and a great mate for Annie. He was also the perfect dad and i miss him dearly. I waited to watch this because I wanted to see it on a BIG screen ( 60 inch monitor vs. my 4 inch phone). It was worth the wait. You have created a mini- masterpiece, SK. Bravo to you and thanks for this heartfelt and thorough tribute to our Lou❤

Lou wasn't banded, so we won't find out if something happens to him, will we? Too bad. I liked Lou. I was hoping he would be a repeat performer for Annie 😢
It’s impossible to band an adult unless they’ve been injured or are ill and in care. Trying to catch and band a healthy adult would be very dangerous to both parties.
