A way I like to use is with caravans instead of villages, using smithing metals for the exploit. 1- Get a big stockpile of metals, preferably some of each (including the high tier ones) 2- Wait for a caravan to approach the gates of a town you're waiting in. 2.1- Make sure to buy any metals the town might already have, iron ores included 3- Talk to the Caravan and sell them all of your metal EXEPT for your Steel. 4- Go back in town and sell them all your Steel (that will lower the price on every metal for the region). 5- Go to the Caravan right outside and buy your metal back, this will do "money laundry" on it and now it isn't flagged as a crafted item anymore but a trade good, so selling it from now on at a profit will grant Trade experience. 6- Go back in town and buy back all your Steel 7- Go outside again and sell the Caravan all of your metal except for your Steel, this will now grant Trade experience. 8- Repeat steps 4 through 7 at your heart's content. Key notes about the process: The Steel is used because it's the most reliable one to tank and raise the price by a lot, a safe margin is about 1000 for low tier metals, 300 steel and as much as you can for the high tier ones. Try to pick a Town that does not have Iron Ores supplied by a village, I've found these towns to "resist" the price manipulation. Remember to wait for the Caravan to be just outside of the city gates; you don't want it to move at all, time will not advance at all while doing this process since all you're doing is leaving town and going back in from the same pixel. It takes a bit longer than the method on this video, but to compensate for it, this can be done with as little as 100k gold, since you lose money only at the first cycle and then you won't lose any more money from the process until you decide to quit (for quitting, repeat the whole process but stop before selling your metal to the Caravan); additionally, the in-game time won't pass AT ALL once you start, so you can repeat it for as long as you need to reach your goal (mine was Trade 300) and not a single in game day will have passed, which is a win in my book. Additionally, since you won't be losing money or in-game time, this process can be done to power level character level as well, since the cycles give a lot of XP, so it's fairly easy to really max out the skill and grav CL 30 (that's as far as I pushed since it got pretty boring after a while and I still needed to use newfound perks to buy my Fief and start my kingdom bribing other clans lol). This was a VERY long post, but I hope it's helpful. There's a video guiding through the process but I can't seem to find it.
Yes this works too, Flesson19 made a video explaining this. I want to correct two of your key notes and it is important. First, Steel isn't the most reliable. None of the materials are more 'reliable' than the others. The reason Flesson said to use Steel, is because of the amount of steel he had. I asked him clarify that in his most resent video discussing it. It's not that Steel is 'magic' or 'reliable'. The ONLY thing that matters is that you have a large quantity of that material. You can use steel, fine steel or thamaskene steel as long as you have A LOT of it. I use 400 fine steel and it does an even better job of lowering the price of the other materials. Which in turn increase profits and makes the whole thing work faster. Second, Towns can't 'resist' the price manipulation. The only thing that matters is if the Town has a high demand for the metals. If they don't, then Flesson's Caravan Exploit doesn't work as well, but it will work.

You can also sell the horses in the village and then return to the town in a few days and buy the horses for very cheap after the village has flooded the horse market. Not as good as the idea in the video, but it works if you are not good at crafting.
That exploit still works? That's how i used to grind trade xp before, like at release. I would just gather up all the wool and sheep i could in one big stack, trade it all to a village, and when the villagers go to the town they will bring enough of those goods to flood the market, then you empty out the village and the town and repeat. It does require a bit of waiting, but it just gets more and more ridiculous the more you do it, well it used to anyways. The town figured it had to have a massive surplus income of the goods probably since it came from the peasants, when you then deprived them of this massive surplus they demanded the goods more, so you basically started a hyperinflation where wool could go from basically worthless to the most expensive item in game, the strategy failed if another caravan got there in time to exploit it, but a bit more back and forth and you could regain the insane xp gains, it was best to do it by ostican or somewhere equally as remote to decrease the chance of ai caravans sniping you of your trade xp gains.

Hey can you show what is best way to make money as beginner (when you start the game) just started playing the game few days ago. I’m having trouble lol
I have another video, Trading Guide, that uses horses and an exploit with horse trading. You can get rich with that method. But the easiest way is to use Smithing. There are tons of video on the topic, I'm not sure it would add any value by creating one myself. I'll look at what's out there and see if I can fill in the gaps or clear up any misinformation.
I'm at like level 170 and it's only going up by two or 3 points. Is that normal? I have roughly the same profit margin as well. Is there something I'm doing wrong?
It will slow down at some point, due to the increasing XP requirements for each level. The bare minimum is 8 Attribute points and 5 Focus points. It also depends on how many items you're trading at once and the profit margin at which you're trading. You will get 1 XP for every 2 points of profit. If you sell 1000 Mules for 100 D each and you bought them for 50 D each, you will get 2000 profit or 1000 XP times the Learning rate multiplier. If that rate is say, 10, then you get 10,000 XP toward Trade. If that isn't a fast enough gain, you will need to use more Mules at once and/or buy them for less than 50 D, (on average) and/or raise the Learning Rate with more Attribute points or Focus points (if possible).
Thanks a bunch! I see now I'm missing some attribute points! Very thorough explanation I really appreciate the guide. Will be looking for more for sure👌🏻

Something simmilar can be done with caravans
Really? I didn't think you got Trade XP for deals with Caravans. Thanks for the tip!
I have a kind of unrelated question about your helmet. Do those ornate helmets appear in shops just like other higher tier gear over time? or do you have to become a king to get it?
Yes. I found this one in Danustica, I believe. It's not top tier defense, but it looks really nice!
@@hero_on_youtube Ok thanks!
This is great and I might be 28 years old already but could you please read me bedtime stories for the rest of my life? 😄
"Once upon a time, there was a 28 year old man having trouble sleeping...", LOL
I'll keep it in mind for future videos...
I’m angry that you don’t have more subs
Don't be angry. Just preach the Gospel of Hero! LOL
Can you tell me how to get a helmet (crown) similar to the author's?
I found it in Danustica.
Does is work in 1.7.0?
Yes it does. Have fun!
I'll look at what's out there and see if I can fill in the gaps or clear up any misinformation.
beat bandit parties and sell the loot and prisoners. Do quests. Buy low sell high
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j This works too!
@@hero_on_youtube alternative if don't wanna exploit the game :)
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j It's good to have options... 😀
you should narrate a documentary or something mate

@@kylewesley7533 I'm working on some. I only have so much free time to put them together.
This is actually the only exploit im ok with.
It does have a big drawback to use, so it's sort of balanced. But they should still fix it before the game is released. Thanks for the support!
Why not just enable cheats and get 9999999 trade?
That's an alternative, but why stop there, add 1 more level. 😀
How?😂
@@kylewesley7533 There are countless ways. Get a mod that allows you to export characters, then just set your characters stats/skills to whatever you want.
@@kylewesley7533 There are cheats that give you Attribute points, Focus Points and Skill XP.
I may or may not have fallen to the dark side (console commands)😂
Does this work in full release?
Yes, I tested it yesterday.
Is this still working?
I just saw your message... Yes, this is still working in 1.8.
dont work in 1.8
I just tested this, it does work. Use the Town Horse trading exploit, you'll get money and armor out of it. This can be fast, but you'll lose money, or rather, you'll "pay" for gaining XP. Using the town method, you'll make money and XP and armor and weapons and trade goods and food and...
Are there no cheats yet? Why the effort?
Yes there are cheats. But I'm using a game mechanic here and not cheating. :)
@@hero_on_youtube i think it's cheating with extra steps thats what i meant 😅
@@Mustis91 :), I know. LOL
Does this work for console?
It should work for console the same as for PC.
@@hero_on_youtube thanks bud I tried and couldn’t get it to work but maybe I messed up I’ll do it step by step and try again.
@@bigpap1gaming941 Lower the buying price of you goods first, then try dumping it in a village that will buy it from you at a higher price.
This is still working in 1.8
It should still work. However, it's no longer needed. There was a change made to the trade xp gains, so using the horse trade exploit will get you to 300 without issue.
@@hero_on_youtube ruclips.net/video/_BnGTwCtps8/видео.html Isn't this method better? He's doing this shit with steel category

@@AndriiGryganskyi I'm glad you enjoyed them! Thanks for the support!
You call it exploits, kinda feels like a money laundering system.
It made me laugh when I first found this. Not sure money laundering is the correct term, since you are loosing money.
Жаль что на русском такого нет(( лайк однозначно
What's missing? Your version of the game is different?
@@hero_on_youtube I wanted to say that I regret that I have to watch interesting content without understanding English very well (my native language is Russian). I really liked your RUclips channel, I will learn English :)
@@lieutenanttequila3058 we are the same :D I wanted to say that I regret that I have to watch interesting content without understanding English very well (my native language is Turkish). Although the game was created by Turkish producers, there is not much Turkish content. LOL
Does this still work in 1.7.1
This still works, it has not been patched.
Does this work anymore?
Yes, this still works for release v1.0.0.
