    I think this proves how innovative the 259 was in the 70's :)

    I love the sound and playability of the Verbos Complex Oscillator - and honestly, all of his modules. The 3U 359 sounds awesome, but tightly packed together. Verbos modules are large - but strike the right balance in the 3U form factor.

    Great that this comparison is based on various real use cases. It gives a good idea of how the different oscillators will sound in a particular context.

      I already have the DPO and it is hard to justify buying any other complex oscillator to have just another 259t flavour. The 3Body is just out of the league a totally different animal and I don’t regret buying it ❤

    Oh! I see a Rubicon in there, interesting! As far as I know, the first one has AC-coupled TZFM? - To get such sharp results with my DC-TZFM'd Ver. IIs, I need to include a highpass. Also: I'm really looking forward to see the Verbos CO in comparison, since I've laid my eyes on it for the cleaner and less wild layout and functionality among all those Complex Oscillator offerings.

    I have had DPO (for many years), Shapeshifter, Piston Honda MK3 and have extensively played with Verbos CO, Furthrrrr (great one), CS-L (another great one, although quite different sounding to what I perceive as "Buchla sound") and I am waiting for the 259t to get here to add to the Radical Frequencies DPVCO (+Waveshaper) that I still own.
    I am going for a 200t rig so I am glad to hear the 259t sounding so nice but I have to say that if I was to choose one from the rest of the complex oscs on demo here, it would be the Bresno...sounds great and has insane potential with all these features.
    The problem is of course the Frap Tools format. I've had a Sàpel on loan to test before I buy and although it was a great module, it was getting so cramped that it just made it an unpleasant experience for my big fingers to patch. Shame as I do like the Frap Tools aesthetics too.

    Hi Stazma, I was planning to do a similar video, but I don't have the ones you're showcasing and my collection is quite complementary. Is it OK to do a follow up on your video and reuse a few seconds of your introduction? It's going to be cool since you've been using the MakeNoise case. There will be a certain continuity, especially if I put some Vostok on the side. I will then link your video to mine.

    the symmetry on the brenso was always left fully ccw, i think it made it sound a lot weakier than it is (lacking a bit of body), the fully ccw position on the symmetry is perhaps the only position on that knob that makes the sound thinnier :D other than that great review

      still, i think a couple of hundred bugs should cover something simple like properly pcb-seated pots, then there is zero wobble no matter the knobs

    Awesome work, you are missing the mindphaser though, which I think outshines my Brenso and DPO quite easily, but I love having all three. The Verbos is nice and simple (the older versions had vactrols too) and it does sound very nice. I think in terms of raw sound the Brenso sounds very similar to the Verbos and has that growl.

    • @Stazma
      @Stazma  2 дня назад

      The Brenso is more clear in the mid range but lack a bit of instant omph compared to the Verbos I think. Also Brenso has much bigger range of sound available.

    • @delfiobacco7156
      @delfiobacco7156 22 часа назад

      @@Stazma as i said in other comments, it looks like that from your vid because the small symmetry trimpot is always ccw, that is the only position in which it makes the sound thinnier, i think the vid didn't do justice to how the brenso can sound fat. try it in the other positions! i assure you it doesn't lack bass or oomph at all :) cheers.
