I've always brush aside backgrounds as a secondary part to any art piece, but this makes me realise how vacant everything works. Everything in an artwork contributes to the overall appeal and it kind of sucks I'm only just understanding that now. Going to grab my Huion and start working on some backgrounds while I wait for Helldivers to install. Love the video and I hope to see more! :D
4:31 Say less. I one thousand percent relate to ya, Mr Dog. I'm a graphic designer and I'm good to some extent ig, but finding work is so hard for me, especially when I see people with objectively less skill than I have making it big. It's taken and still taking a toll on my entire mindset and if not for my personal childlike nature and fear of pain, I wouldn't be typing this comment, or on RUclips... you understand. I can't practice what I do with excitement because I create for both passion and survival, so when I can't get a gig or role, I get insanely upset and deflated. Sharing too much huh? For what it's worth. You're a great artist, and your animations are solid for the amount of time you've spent learning. And you art is very nice and detailed even without color, and that's saying something cause I usually prefer more close to real life anatomy. Still watching the video, but you're not alone my dude. I will not lie to you and cheer you up with "it'll get better", that's usually unrealistic, but I do believe you will proceed to make better work as far as you keep going.
@@oshomasamson1906 thank you for your honesty. It definitely helps. There’s a book I read that helps me in dark moments called “Man’s search for meaning” by Victor Frankl. If you are around a library or used bookstore, it’s worth the read. Happy holidays ❤️
Bro, this was so good! I loved seeing the whole process, and that part about the creative block is so real. It really reminds me of my final art project in my last year of school. We were assigned to make an animation on paper, but I wanted to do it digitally with a new iPad I had been gifted. I didn’t know anything about it and spent weeks learning and procrastinating. Keep it up!
Very inspiring! Thanks my friend! ❤

The amount of effort put into this is insane. I hope to be as dedicated as you in my art one day
@AlexHughes-ok2wx thank you for the words of encouragement ❤️ You have it in you. It will be there whenever you are ready to start 👍

Thank you ❤ I’m glad you got something out of the video. The struggle is always real but don’t lose heart. 👍
It's hard just making videos!
@@definitelynotcj thank you 😅 it was a tough one to edit.
