    Miss your videos. Congrats on the new house. Mmm, the shelves…I say bowls, vases, wall art, and plants.

    Your new home is beautiful and spacious. I love your decorating style. For the shelf area that's a little bit of a challenge, I would like to make this suggestion......On the top shelf, I would display a faux plant that has a cascading vine. This would help fill in the space that looks like a shelf is missing. I like your idea of hanging a picture there, too, and I think that also would look great behind the cascading plant. Then, for the shelf underneath the top shelf, I could stack books like you already have. I like how you've styled the very bottom shelf. Overall, I think the cascading plant will give that area a lot of visual interest and somewhat of a 3D look also. ❤

    I can see the narrowest shelf holding a miniature or tiny collection. I still love your pottery collection and leather horses. Glad you brought them with you!

    My question was going to be “did you find places for all your plants?” And then I saw that amazing sunroom behind you. So jealous. 😮

    I love the contrast of white against the dark, especially your mantel. It will be a challenge with the dark pottery. Looking forward to more.

    I can’t tell how you feel about this space with all the shelves but I really love it. It’s so fun to see how you style them and to see your process. I’m sure any changes you make in the future will be lovely as usual! I wish I had your eye for style.

    I can't wait to see the home tour of your new place. We recently moved also and after 2 1/2 years I am still changing things around. It's definitely a process.

    Great video! Love your style...mine is very similar 😊
    In that shallow space, how about a few small votive holders lined up. Maybe clear glass with battery powered candles on a timer. Also thought maybe a long shallow basket. Anyway, love your shelves and can't wait to see all of the fun things you do to your new house!

    Love the new space ! I can't wait to see what you do. The bookcase space challenge, add some greenery in the top space . Whether it be seasonal or just a live or fake plant. Maybe family picture to add a touch of personal. On the skinny shelf, add a platter that has your colors from the tile. ( a little consignment or antique shopping for that piece . Just saying.

    I absolutely love that fireplace. I have more of a MCM vibe and I wouldn’t change a thing, but I have no doubt when you put your own style spin on it it will be stunning. I’m not excited to see these transformations!! 😊

    I totally missed the video about moving! I did go back and watch that one first; so sad to see your old house and property go, but excited for your new adventure! This house feels very 70s and something that Lauren Liess would buy (love her). 😊 Are you going to do a whole house tour? I’m so interested to see it all and learn more about the property.

    How about a big plant in a light colored pot in that space, eliminate some of the books and add a wide, flat rectangular shaped platter in a comparable color…I’m thinking creamy white.

      The flat platter should go in the smaller area.

    I was always told that objects should be turned as if they were entering a room-such as your Ironstone pitchers would be turner with the spout side turned toward the room rather than the corner. Have you ever heaard this as well?

    • @kathy5216
      @kathy5216 9 месяцев назад +1

      Makes sense! I like to style mine to see the details best, like the scrolling on the side of the ironstone. But either way works!

    You provided a lot of great advice. However, I must say I cringed when you slid the pieces over the wood on your bookcases...aren't you concerned you will scratch the finish on the wood?
