Yesterday (april 3rd) @cursed6125 verified Abyss of Darkness, a potential new top 1. All though Cursed and SpaceUK has gone on record and said they do not think Abyss of Darkness is harder than Sakupen Circles, and Slaughterhouse respectively, it is hard to determine, as they both have their biases towards both levels. We can't say for sure as of yet, but maybe we will see a new top 1 extreme demon if Abyss of Darkness gets rated. Good luck to Trick and Dils Thik whom are also trying to beat this beast of a level, and huge congrats to Cursed for verifying! I don't personally have any opinions on the difficulty, I just think its really hard lol. I don't particularly like the level, however I do understand the charm of it.

@Reaper Yes, spaceuk is so skilled that everything seems too easy for him and that's why he can't rate levels without being partial. However, I do think that AOD is number 1, because it is a long level with a really bad balancing and a difficult ending.

Man, it’s really amazing of how far this game came to be. From once where demon park was the hardest demon to now slaughterhouse and possibly this. Let’s just take some time to appreciate how much skill all of us have.

This level is kinda creating a relapse with stuff like Erebus when that came out, stuff that to push to the boundary and skill cap has be inconsistent and unbalanced to create somewhat of artificial difficulty.
Same for Yatagarasu,Bloodlust,Zodiac and Tartarus

I love this level because it has pretty good deco and takes itself really seriously whilst having the biggest joke that is its gameplay ever

That's the attempts I took in my first Bloodbath practice run when I couldn't even do the official demons
i took 2 hours and 3,400 attempts. yikes
i still cant even do the official demons except for the fact i beat clubstep once 😂
Just keep pushin, I did it on my phone lol. Im tryna do my first extreme now, its a hard road but def worth it. If you beat your first demon you kinda just take off and start doing way harder stuff

This has been my most anticipated top 1(?) because of its slow-pace, deco, song and atmosphere. Even if it isn't top 1, we can just say top 3 or 5, it definitely deserves a feature imo.

What you said about gameplay standards is so important, I always see people redecorate old impossible levels and I always think like just update the gameplay to make it playable, it’s so dumb.

Maybe he did, but the demonlist editors are taking the opinions of multiple top players into account every since the multiple incidents of demons being placed at top 1 only to be moved down later, like Sakupen Circles. Cursed may say its top 1, but it takes time for multiple people to gain an opinion

@@txtronixgd7373 I think more of thr problem is that half of the top 10 is wave levels, like It'd be a lot cooler to have a memory level (Limbo coming out soon so that'll be fixed) More all around levels like Zodiac Or Even a Dual focused level like Lotus Flower.

I mean, this could also end up as low as top 3. Both Trick and Spaceuk are saying it should be placed as such. But, new "hardest" levels need more insight from multiple top players in order to give a fair rating. This is another level that might be moved around the demonlist a couple times. As it happened with Tartarus and The Golden, as well as Slaughterhouse and Sakupen Circles.

Well, Aeon, I think I’ll have to disagree on this one. Although it is really deco heavy (I really like it tho) it really is a refreshing level as it is not really wave-heavy as all the recent top 1 levels (particularly slaughterhouse and sakupen circles). It brings some new kind of hard gameplay which is really welcomed here.
I think it's top 1 and one of the best ones I've seen so far. I dont know why but I like it

I have not played geometry dash in 3 years BUT to me this gameplay looks fun to play for how chill and percise it looks. Like you could grind it for 5 hours without stopping and being burnt out. Of course this is my based on my style of how i play games. Dont take this too serious! :)

I have genuinely underestimated this level. I originally did a practice run on the old version and thought it couldn’t compare, but now that the new AoD is out, I was very wrong. Also as a side note, can’t really blame the level for bad gameplay, as it’s damn challenging for a level this difficult to be fun

tbh in terms of gameplay quality this is definitely significantly better than sakupen circles and slaughterhouse
it depends what you want in a level really, for example some people prefer long levels and some dont, and some people prefer wave levels and some dont
personally i think sakupen circles plays a little better and is more fun than aod but i think both levels are really good anyway (havent played sh)

Well I'm trying to beat every demon in the game and it's extremely frustrating to see how the gameplay quality of recent levels has dropping more and more.
