Mine just turned 19! He is old and fragile now so he gets lots of extra love and tender care. He’s adorable, and the best personality ever!! I love him so much!
Michelle Engelamm YES! First time I saw one was on The Nanny and I was in love. And after losing my heart to 2 poms, I know I will always be a pommy mom.
I went to a pet store to meet my wife who said there were cute puppies available, I said okay, "but I don't want one of those silly fluffy dogs with skinny legs that I've seen in movies!" Well, when I turned up sure enough, there were the poms. I lent over to have a look at them and one little guy met my gaze and wanted to be picked up, so being the softy I am I obliged. It was an instant bond, he was so alert and looking at everything, so happy and just beamed awesomeness! I had to have him. I named him Cassius, but called him Champ. I had a few dogs before Champ, but he ran rings around every one of them, just amazing. He would jog with me, ride in the car, go to the beach, ride with me on my kayak, get baths weekly and looooved getting blow dried and brushed. So bright and playful, yet sitting beside someone on the lounge watching TV was his favorite time. He was born in 2000 and passed in 2018, I miss him so much I almost cry every time I think of him. I buried him under our 70 year old Norfolk pine tree on the family property and planted a lavender plant in a large pot above him. I'm not sure if I am ready for another dog yet, but when I am it will definitely be another pommy. Best dog ever
I have a beautiful female pom, she's mostly black with a white streak on her chest. She's now 18 years old but still wants to play every bit as much as she always has. I adopted her when she was 7 years old, from the animal shelter. One thing I've noticed is that she is very faithful to me, she won't just run off with anybody....well, unless they have food for her! She's just a little bundle of incredible sweetness. :)
kelly heubel lots of protein! My pommy is old and still very energetic, she’s very healthy and runs circles around me, she has more energy then I could ever hope to have😂 we feed her tons of meat scraps and when we temporarily run out of cat food, we give her a small can of salmon❤️ (we use cat food because it has higher protein then other crappy brands of dogfood. And there are no health risks to feeding a dog cat food. There are health risks the other way around however. Really dogfood shouldn’t even be legal. It does not contain enough protein to boost their health.)
FriendlyRambler that is so amazing to read (your pom is 18 and playing). You have given me so much to hope for as my boy LOUIS is 10 and still runs our home.
Lisa Robinson yes😇 I have had her for 12 years now and the cat food brand she’s been eating for all these years is purina cat chow, Naturals it’s #1 ingredient is made with chicken and even some turkey. I know people say not to feed your dogs cat food and don’t feed cats dog food. But in reality, dogs can eat cat food, but cats can’t eat dog food. They make cat food with way more protein than dog food. We have always made sure that all the animals we own get as much protein and nutrients that we can possibly offer. Sometime we even buy liver for them, organs are packed with nutrients👍🏻 she 12 and still hopping around like a pup🙂
@@lisarobinson09 , yes my Mimi was a wonderful little lady. Sadly I lost her in May of 2018, she developed cancer after 3 years of fighting an intestinal disease, but she never complained, was always so sweet and wonderful. Yes, 10 is still young in my opinion, I met a lady who's Pom lived to be 22 years old! I hope Louis and you are doing well. Stay safe! :)
The loyalty of the Pomeranian to the owner was displayed when my father was sick and dying and our dog seemed to take his condition the hardiest. While we were hoping our father would pull through the dog was in distress realizing the end was near. Earlier today my wife showed me a video of a dog crying in happiness when the owner came home and it brought memories of my father and his dog which brought me to this site. Man's best friend for sure.
my mom got us a pomeranian yesterday as a suprise. i’m watching this to gather more info about him and his breed. thank you for this video, it’s very informative!
I had a pom and I still miss him. He was so smart, kind and gentle. Once when I had pneumonia he brought me his chew bone and put it on the bed beside me as a gift.He then layed down and had such a soulful expression. When I awoke an was feeling better he could tell and was jumping all about me. The breed is so cheerful and make good alarms for strangers at the door.
I have a pom and she instinctively knows how to herd. I have a few hens and when they get into the back yard my pom helps to herd them back in. She works just like a good sheep dog- she watches me and goes for the hen I point at and runs it for the gate. The only problem is she is so small and some of the hens turn on her and then she has to run and hide by my leg. But otherwise she is a great little herding dog.
Ruby Rose poor thing. I have a pom too, he tries to scare the cats from the back yard, but they are bigger than him. So no respect my pom...he runs back to me also..
elizabeth perez wow My Pom is the opposite. Lmao she crazy she would really attack anything . She’s the same or bigger than a cat. She scared away 2 raccoons from our balcony. She’s just crazy
I adopted my pom at the shelter as an adult. He is the fluffiest, sweetest, snuggliest, cutest thing. Absolutely amazing with kids- as he lets them do just about anything to him happily- not an ounce of aggression. He's just happy to have the attention. The biggest cuddle bug you could ever imagine. Absolutely amazing breed- so thankful to have found him.
I take my 10 yr old Pom "Heidi" to the local Seniors home where we do Volunteer Pet Therapy. They all know her name and look forward to seeing her because she seems to know exactly how to make each person happy. She especially loves to ride on a seniors knee in a wheel chair when I take them out for walks. She loves not having to walk and just watch the world go by. She wants to go everyday and is disappointed when we don't even though we go 3 times a week.
Save up money for a Pomeranian , or lead up saying you want a bigger dog like a husky or a Samoyed and say they are cute and then eventually lead up showing Pomeranian puppy’s and say look I’ve already saved up enough money and I know you don’t want a big dog what about a Pomeranian .... That’s what happened to me but I actually wanted a Samoyed but oh well Pomeranians are cute lol .
Same with me I wanted a samoyed too but my dad didn't want that big of a dog so we are going to get a pomeranian soon, I'm super excited even if it wasn't my first choice, i'm still super happy
Be sure to have insurance Truepanion is the best insurance to have. They have many health issues. Getting them fixed as soon as they are old enough is vital. I take incredible care of mine. But he is expensive requires insulin syringes special low fat vet food and constant teeth brushing. They are high maintenance when it come to health. But the insurance is vital!! And Truepanion is the only one that pays 90% less the deductible and 10-% out of pocket and only for surgical and emergency’s .Regular maintenance and meds are our if pocket. Also all insurance company you must pay up front but Truepanion once they receive the paper work get a check out no later than 10 biz days. They are the best dogs but they must be trained gently but trained all the same they are not an to be treated like a purse. They can be quite if trained and they are smart!! Don’t let those cute eye fool you they are very trainable. But have the insurance and money to get all their shots and for them to be fixed. Also don’t feed these dogs table food it’s awful for them over all health. Veggies like cucumbers and well steamed carrots and zucchini that are a mush like consistency is just fine. In their older years this is crucial to keep them on a low calorie diet hills low fat soft can food is the best. As it’s not loaded with sugar and fat and it will keep them from breaking their teeth which are very fragile. Best to let them naw on a carrot than a dog bone as a toddler but you have to Aldo be careful never to leave them alone to chew on a snack as they can choke easily. Also, do your homework and make sure your getting your pup from an akc breeder with certified paperwork. Lots of puppy mills out there. If you want a recommendation I can give you one.
My dog just passed away , and the next one I get will be the pom Imiss my baby. Can't wait to save money Can't wait to have one to fill my empty heart.
Im so sorry that happened :( ik what its like my old dog ran away because neighbours set off fireworks and it startled her. Shes been gone so long shes probably passed by now.
Know you miss your little one. Our Holly (a lab/beagle mutt - almost 15 yrs old) died July 2018. We adopted “Blaney” July 2019 - 2 years old, sweet, fun and active little Pom. Hope you can get your new love soon!
Had 2 one passed had him cremated then 6 months later my other gave up without him. It was like losing family. We have Rocky now a rescue pom. But I'm not sure who rescued who lol. Hope you find one soon.
I have a Pomeranian Chihuahua. A Pom-Chi. He actually looks like a red fox. His coat is the perfect length, he is the perfect size and, he's very protective of the house. He is as devoted to me as I am to myself. He's also my first very small dog and I hope to have him forever. :-)
I just love my Pom. I named him Bear, I purchased him from an add in the newspaper for $300. Before I got him I spent 6 months looking to rescue a small dog and everyday I would go to shelters, dog rescue places, pounds, all my friends were looking for a suitable dog for me. No luck. I needed a small dog, any bread. Although I wanted something young, pup to 3-4 yrs old. I gave up. I figured it wasn't meant to be. Then and add in newspaper my husband found was this male Pom 6 weeks old. I went and bought him. He was so infested with fleas he had scabs and worms crawling out his bottom. I took him to the family vet first thing the next morning. He has had 4 rounds of medicine to get him in good health. And I do believe I really did get to rescue a dog in need of a good home. That comforts me. He is awesome. I just love my Bear Bear! Thank you for the video.
Thank you for reading and responding. I must add though that Bear Bear although he looks exactly like a Pom has not stopped growing. He is going on 7 months old and keeps getting bigger and bigger. Way over 20 lbs. And he is not fat or overweight. Funny because I know I didn't get what I paid for but but It doesn't matter. I love him and he's is part of my family and always will be. That is all that matters.
Aww so cute my Pomeranian was called bear when he was a few weeks old cause my Aunty bought it for her friend but they didn’t have a big backyard and we changed his name to hugo and I begged my mum to get him after my Aunty said we can have him and I got him I’m so thankful now he is healthy cute and funny 4 years old.
I lost my Pomeranian about a month ago, best dog ever, it brings me to tears even thinking about him. You’ll fall in love with Pomeranians once you get one.
I had a pom, got him when he was around 6 years old.. took a lotta love, care and patience to undo bad behaviours and other done by the previous owner but it was the cutest and loving pet 💝 He loved food, attention and eventually petting and hugs too
I really want to have one or any kind of dog. I'm really fond of dogs and would like to own one but I can't because my parents said that it's expensive. I'm okay to adopt a dog but I don't know if there's a dog shelter in our area. Our house isn't that big. Do you guys have any tips?
My pom's name is Sam and he is a rescue. First dog I have owned in my adult life. Up until Sam I only had cats. He is amazing; he will be 14 this year and I have had him 3 years now. I cannot imagine myself without him. He has become the love of my life.
I met a pomeranian when I visited my dad's coworker's house. He was so sweet, he barked at me at first then he got to know me. He would always stand up and wants a lift. He didn't really bite. When I pictured him, he would stop and give a huge smile with his tounge out. I'm planning to get one cause they are so precious!
Great video! We rescued a 10 year old Pom 2 years ago! He's is so frisky and skittish with strangers and especially children! This video was spot on w it's assessments, and characteristics of the Pom! All aside, I love our Nunu! He is so loving and funny! It takes consistency and trust, but they can be wonderful and entertaining companions! Def a good dog for for the homebody type
Well, I'm planning to adopt a pomeranian within a month or so, and here I am watching your video, and this video has helped me a lot to gather information about them in advance.
My pom , Remy, is truly the sweetest and best dog I’ve had in my life. And I’ve had MANY dogs, all that I have loved unbelievably. Remy is just so special and devoted to me. It’s hard to explain. But I just love him so very much.
I have one for 3 years and she is my absolute soulmate! We getting another one in a month's time and I am over the moon excited!!! Current one is named Luna and Bella will be with us next month xxx
Thanks! I need this im not naturally interested in dog training and such but I love and adore my Pomeranian dogs❤️ this is so good I need to learn what they need ❤️
Seeing this video makes me so excited to have another Pom one day! I had my Missy for over 10 years (since 5th grade) and i miss her so much! She passed away 2 years ago and if your thinking of getting a Pom, get one! They are simply the best!! They’re loveable, cuddley, fluffy, VERY ACTIVE and VERY PROTECTIVE dogs! Haha They think they’re a lot bigger than what they really are! 😂 RIP Missy, mama misses you so much!! 😇
I had one rehomed to me. He was the most beautiful and smartest dog I ever saw no exaggeration! I use to be in awe of his intelligence just made me laugh and laugh, too. Miss him very much.
I grew up with a pom and isn’t she the loveliest! Intelligent, loyal, well-behaved, clean, loves walks, loves naps, loves food! She barks a lot though, but that’s just her being protective when hearing noises outside of my apartment. I talk to her and she would stop immediately. I just really love poms!
I own a Pomeranian and had him since he was a puppy. The video is imformative and true. My Pom is no toy but a throwback where his Gene are likely dominant by the Spitz breed.
my grandma bred poms, and the two that she used were longtime family pets, even after she stopped breeding. the male was the reason why i laughed for the first time as a baby. kids do need to be mindful to be gentle, as with all animals. i was always around dogs, so i knew that being gentle in my petting was important. the mom trusted me with her babies when i was young. theyve both now passed, but i have the runt of the last litter bred. hes a very affectionate and vocal dog. as my nannie say “theyre greeters” you cant be mad for how loud they can be. i just love poms so much
hes old now and we have an old mastiff mix as well. theyre very good friends and will eat at the same time without problems. they sit on the same bed and always go outside together. poms are great pets, coming from someone that has grown with them my whole life
very well done video of my favorite breed - I presently have two plus a standard poodle. They get along famously. The little poms are jewels wrapped in fur coats made of love, total adoration and affection.
I have a cream colored Pomeranian and they do suffer from dental issues. Mine is almost 12 years old and I love him so much he's very loyal to me and very intelligent. I wish dogs would have longer lives as they're such great & loyal companions. I recommend them as pets but when getting any type of dog please make sure you will be dedicating lots of time and care for them and get medical exams at least once a year at the vet unless it's needed sooner. I love mine and want to get more in the future.
I just lost my cream lovely pomeranian two weeks ago. He was 13,5 years old. It's so painful. Before I lost him me and my husband said no more dogs because when he was sick we suffered too, and loosing him it's even worse. Now I am thinking about having another one, they are such a sweet dogs, but I am afraid what if he gets sick. I don't know what to do. Problem is that we are working and living him for many hours alone is not good too.
Something I've always done and has shown great results in older dogs is to give them a can of Chef Spaghetti O rings with Meatballs and soak a couple chew-able dental bones in it. Every dog I've done this with has lived a whole lot longer and has kept their teeth for far longer than normal. That and Organic Plain Yogurt to help them to digest the food.
Dental issues can generally be prevented by never giving your dog sugar or (excessive) starch as treats, only protein like meat and eggs, as well as the occasional vegetable like raw carrot or cooked broccoli. Make sure their kibble is mostly meat rather than starch/grains. "Meat byproducts" aren't bad. Organ meats and connective tissues are gross to us humans, but they are actually very tasty and healthy for dogs. Let them chew on dried meat like freeze dried rabbit feet, pig ears, chicken necks, bully sticks, etc. which help keep their teeth clean. And finally, brush their teeth a few times a week with enzymatic toothpaste. I've owned a lot of different dog breeds over the years, and I've never had any tooth issues with any since the first one, whose bad teeth prompted me to switch up his diet and start brushing his teeth. The veterinarians are always very pleased with how good their teeth look :)
I have a black pom and he is simply adorable. They do have dental problems though and if I could do anything different about taking care for him it is that I would have trained him to get his teeth brushed when he was still a puppy. He is as smart as they come and he was the champion at his training courses. Brave, attentive, intelligent, very fixed on humans (treats and attention). When he was a baby, he was just a ball of black fluffy fur, with his black shiny eyes. You couldn't see his legs or feet and I truly couldn't find his tail. It was firmly curled up on his back, hidden in his body fur, since he was always happy and content. I am really smitten with him still, even more so after 12 years.
Excellent point addressing their eyes, and how they need wiping because of the discharge they're prone to. I don't reward my dog when he barks, but I reward him for stopping.I would say they bark more than a little, so be aware. My dog barks himself into choking fits! They have throat issues such as collapsed trachea and do better walking in a harness, and should not wear circular throat collars. They can have delicate legs and shouldn't be allowed to jump down from heights, especially onto hard ground.
My first Pomeranian was cream colored. He weighed 22 pounds and stood 16 1/2 ". His length was 31 1/2 " tip of nose to tail. He lived 17 years, 4months and 6 days. The pom. I have now is tan and white. He weighs 16 pounds. He is Extremely loving, friendly, smart and very well behaved. He loves to go for walks and visit his human friends.
My mom and cousin are bringing in a 2 month old Pom tomorrow and I want to be prepared for anything. My previous dog, a yorkshire terrier passed two years ago and my mom was devastated. I didn't believe that we would get another dog. I miss my four legged sister, but it is time to give my new baby brother a warm welcome.
My Pomeranian was my first small dog. I always had large dogs before. She is a constant joy even if she is too smart at times. My dog turns 14 years in October. I think that you let people know about one health problem that can occur. . . Collapsed trachea which causes a cough. They should also not let their dogs jump down from furniture, stairs, etc. as it can cause knee problems. I was made aware of this from the breeder I got her from.
My first Pom was 24lbs.He was not over weight. The original Pom's decades ago were around 30/40lbs and were working dogs, but Pom's have been sized down with breeding over the years.Sometimes a Pom will be a throwback from it's ancestors as mine was.His parents were 7 & 8lbs, but he just kept growing. lol All other Pom's we've had (total of 7 in 18yrs) have been between 7 and 11lbs. Just my personal preference..I hate seeing a Pom without their mane. I kept my first Pom in the lions cut due to severe skin allergies.I never shaved his mane, legs or the tip of his tail off.
My Pom is the ❤️of my life. The key thing with Poms is they are fragile so protecting them from being broken by small children accidentally is important. Also they were originally used as guard dogs back in Pomerania so they can get protective, especially of their special person. They still think they’re 23kg.
I love my pom. He is the cutest and smartest and not so hard to train. Even though he is stubborn sometimes, he gets it and csn easily adapt to any owner.
Great video - our “Blaney” fits every characteristics shown. We got him July 2019 when he turned 2! Been in our home almost 7 months and he brings a smile to our faces everyday.
I desperately want one of these dogs! But I still live with my Mum and she won’t let me have one. And then I head off to uni next year and I can’t have one then. And then I enter the working world, and idk if I can give it all the attention it needs when I’ll be working a 9-5 😭😭 So for now, I just watch these adorable videos and feel sorry for myself!
Even if you work 9 to 5 the rest of the world works as well you have to think a lot of dogs that need homes sit and humane society pens 24/7 lucky to get an hour out a day, adopt!
Back when both my hubby and I both worked full time jobs we had 2 small dogs and they were well loved and cared for. We crated them at home during the day but when we were at home we spoiled them rotten. I am now disabled and hubby works from home half the week so they really get oodles of attention. We are adopting a Blue Merle Pom in just 2 weeks to add to the family. Don't be too upset, many working people have dogs and are just fine. I'd recommend a small dog that doesn't have to be walked. (Our yorkie and shih tzu who we were told absolutely would have to have daily walks, hate them.) Thank goodness bc now I cannot take them on them. Our little Yorkie will literally walk right behind me and everytime a car comes she stops. She honestly would rather I held her. We call her miss prissy. LOL You can do it!
the pure bred teddy bear pom is the ultimate pom, the only reason they don't like kids is cuz kids tend to TERRORIZE and ABUSE them, this is a VERY loving breed and any aggressive and loud natured behavior pisses them off, my pom was a PERFECT angel and never ever had to be exposed to violent rude natured children, THANK GOD!
Angelina Thompson TRUTH And On Point.. Well Said....One Of My Nephews Terrorized SASSY 😘 And She Is Afraid Of Rapid Hand Motions... Teddy 🐻 Bear Poms Are The BEST!!! My Brother Had A 🐺 Wolf Looking Pom, And She Was Hateful And Not At All Loving.... But,,,,, They Say That A Pet Definitely Has The Characteristics Of Their Owner.... Have A Beautiful Blessed Day In Our LORD..💞☺️💕
my mom adopted a pom/corgi mix, we assume she was rescued from a puppy mill. wren is.. not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's so goofy and loving. she is incredibly protective of anyone she deems good, and knows instantly when someone is dangerous. i love her to bits.
+Luis astudillo-Right. It's important for anyone who decides to adopt a pom that they have a tremendous amount of energy and they are highly social as well, so it's important to take them out for a walk often so they can remain stimulated. If you don't have the time or the patience to care for a pom, you shouldn't own one (my sister had her pom that she gave up after she had her first baby and when she didn't have time for the pom anymore, he was left very lonely and sad all the time, even with the rest of the family chipped in to spend time with him, he just missed his "mommy" terribly). They do get very lonely and sad when they are not given enough quality time from their owners, and it's not a good idea to own one if you have to work long hours and keep them caged or in a pen all day. They want a lot of social interaction and they love to give it. People should also understand that despite their very cute demeanor, poms are very protective of their owners. They have very strong, larger than life personalities and they have a much bigger sense of their power than they actually have (when a dog escaped its fence and tried to attack my sister's pom, even when I scooped him up, he was trying to wiggle out of my arms to fight the much larger dog). So if you have a pom, you have to firmly but gently establish clear boundaries over what it can and cannot do, and if you have a lot of company, let it learn to trust others and those other people are not a threat to mommy/daddy or itself. :D.
My two Poms, Petey and Louie, are my life! They are brothers from seperate litters. They are smart, yet quite entertaining! They are so close to Human, my friends friek out when they behave in humanlike ways. They go to sleep on demand, potty on demand, and Petey can carry a paper plate in his mouth and not spill the food. He actually stole someone's hamburger once, he took the plate and all! They are two amazing "boys", well known in the community and Facebook too. I feel so blessed that they are in my life .
Nice video, good for those considering owning one. I learned nothing new, but only because I own/ed Poms. They are one of the most intelligent dogs, probably the most intelligent toy breed. And they are easy to train, and ENJOY it! My current boy, Cooper, is hands down the smartest dog I ever owned. He’s AMAZING with the stuff he has learned on his own, besides his Obedience training. They have such cool little personalities too! Mine loves everyone, but is a “Grumpy Sleeper”...lol. He shares our bed, and sleeps between my husband & I, & takes about 1/2 the room in our king size bed...lol. And he is tiny...people keep asking if he’s a teacup, but there is NO SUCH THING, only bad breeding! I recommend staying away from those that breeders call “tea cup”, as its poor breeding & they usually have extra health issues. Poms are a great dog, but because they are a bit delicate (toy breed) I would advise against having with small children, as they may drop them or step on them & break their legs, or cause other injuries. But they absolutely love to wear clothes, go out to meet people, & are very friendly, but noisy dogs. You can curb this a bit with proper training, but they believe it’s their job to warn you of intruders, so they WILL bark, a LOT, regardless. But I forgive mine...he’s our watchdog after all. On a separate note, did you know that if you have a dog who barks a lot, you are FAR less likely to get your house broken into? Thieves tend to avoid houses with dogs, especially noisy ones. They’re more likely to pass your house by, in favor of another home with no dog. And noisy dogs get noticed quicker. It’s true. Don’t ask me how I know this, I just do. 😉 (& no, it’s not me...I’m no crook! Lol too old & sickly...lol) Great video with some good info!
They are the best breed! I have owned 4 and currently have 2. An orange sable female named CoCo, 10 and an ice white male named Sugar, 2. Nellie lived 16 years and this is not uncommon. Also, there are 3 face types: Fox faced, teddy bear and babydoll. They are so utterly adorable😊
I’ve had one for 13 and a half years now, he’s the sweetest. Has never bitten anyone, always spreading a lot of love. Belly rubs is his favorite
Same with my pom and she only 1 month a couple of days old
UNTAKEN I need a dog like him 😊!
WHAT? 13 YEARS??
hala dolan Yes, Poms live an average of 12-15 years, but it’s common to have them live to 16-18 years.
Pam Sudsbear someone told me they lived for two years i was so confused but now i know. thank u :)
Mine just turned 19! He is old and fragile now so he gets lots of extra love and tender care. He’s adorable, and the best personality ever!! I love him so much!
They can live up to 12-16 years, I am assuming you are lying?
@@isabelle.gallamos well that's on average, you know how the life span in the USA is 76 but people still can live longer. It's the same with dogs.
@@frankhahah8127 Has he died yet!!!!!
How long do they live up to?
Xx_Ashley _xX 12-16 years
You forgot to mention that once you have owned a pom you will never want another breed. They are just THAT lovely!
You will also own an ar15
& when you have a Boston terrier the only other breed you want is a Pomerania
Indeed 👍🏾

Michelle Engelamm YES! First time I saw one was on The Nanny and I was in love. And after losing my heart to 2 poms, I know I will always be a pommy mom.

Great memories! 🥺
So sad 🥺
Rip champ
Just remember how much energy you need for a baby. But 6 months later and you will have another best friend
Rest in Peace, Champ. I hope my baby Pom also has a long and adventurous life. Thank you for sharing such a lovely story. ❤
Lilia Clayton you really feed your pom cat food? What kind? Please Facebook Lisa Robinson
My Pom would’ve ate those hens. She’s so fierce
Pedro Tello oh my that is so funny! And so cute too.
that is so cute
I adopted my pom at the shelter as an adult. He is the fluffiest, sweetest, snuggliest, cutest thing. Absolutely amazing with kids- as he lets them do just about anything to him happily- not an ounce of aggression. He's just happy to have the attention. The biggest cuddle bug you could ever imagine. Absolutely amazing breed- so thankful to have found him.
@Natalie Otto How old is he?
At what price?
@@freefireshorts4126 Most poms are between $500-$1,000. But if they *_adopted_* the pom at a shelter then it was probably free.
I got one 2 days ago. He is the cutest thing I have ever seen. To cute, amazing personality
OMG,how old is he now?
Enjoy.. i have just posted. See what you think you may have advice. Jenny Pederson about 4 above. x
I’m trying to talk my mom into getting me one
They are the best dogs but they must be trained gently but trained all the same they are not an
to be treated like a purse.
Alex Shay I left a comment for you about purchasing a pom.
If your really interested in getting a pom see my comment below in this feed.
I had my female pompom for 16 years passed away last year 2019 !! I miss her 😢🎀Getting another Pomeranian one this year .😍

Just got a pomeranian puppy last week. Has a great vivacious personality. So playful! So sweet! Follows me everywhere, even to the bathroom 🐕
My dog just passed away , and the next one I get will be the pom
Imiss my baby.
Can't wait to save money
Can't wait to have one to fill my empty heart.
Check the shelters. My mother just rescued a wonderful two year old Pom.
yes and sometimes even international shelters
My family has always had one for decades. They are always so unique and sweet. Couldn’t imagine life without a Pom.
Such a good story! We got our pom when our neighbor passed away. We don't know his age, but probably around 8 or 9 years.
That is so sweet 💕💕💕Lucky Bear ☘️☘️☘️☘️
Aww so cute my Pomeranian was called bear when he was a few weeks old cause my Aunty bought it for her friend but they didn’t have a big backyard and we changed his name to hugo and I begged my mum to get him after my Aunty said we can have him and I got him I’m so thankful now he is healthy cute and funny 4 years old.
how is Bear now? ☺️
We have a 10YO chihuahua/Pomeranian mix. She is a sweet girl. Very cuddly by nature. Sassy as hell but a lot of fun.
I am on my 4th Pom! They are my favorite breed! They are the sweetest, smart, great companion. A bit stubborn at times but overall very obedient!❤
I lost my Pomeranian about a month ago, best dog ever, it brings me to tears even thinking about him. You’ll fall in love with Pomeranians once you get one.
I had a pom, got him when he was around 6 years old.. took a lotta love, care and patience to undo bad behaviours and other done by the previous owner but it was the cutest and loving pet 💝 He loved food, attention and eventually petting and hugs too
Why am I even watching this? I don't have pom lmao
because they are so adorable lol
I really want to have one or any kind of dog. I'm really fond of dogs and would like to own one but I can't because my parents said that it's expensive. I'm okay to adopt a dog but I don't know if there's a dog shelter in our area. Our house isn't that big. Do you guys have any tips?
@@yunie4296 I suggest you go to pet shops near you and ask if any of these dogs are for adoption or if they have any dogs for adoption.
I’m just here because I really want one but realistically I’m not gonna get one ://
Same, I want one though 🥺
The most wonderful dog I have ever had. So sweet and loving. Couldn't ask for a more loving well behaviour .
Pomeranian is my favorite dog breed! They're so cute and adorable! Very mischievous and wise too 😍
My pom's name is Sam and he is a rescue. First dog I have owned in my adult life. Up until Sam I only had cats. He is amazing; he will be 14 this year and I have had him 3 years now. I cannot imagine myself without him. He has become the love of my life.
For me the herding in my Pom is mostly gone. I have two guinea pigs and my Pom adores them. All he wants to do is lick them.
I have a guinea pig :)

LOL!
I bet thats cute Id like to see that :((((
ive had my pom since 2012! (second grade) my childhood dog i love him so much hes still here with me today !

This made me tear up my Pomeranian is 4 years old already and I don’t know what I will do when he dies.
My eldest niece has 2 Poms, little fox face ones & we all love them. Very active and incredibly loveable and affectionate dogs.
I have a cute 7 year-old pomeranian. He is lovable, intelligent, and affectionate.🥰 They deserve great care.
My pom , Remy, is truly the sweetest and best dog I’ve had in my life. And I’ve had MANY dogs, all that I have loved unbelievably. Remy is just so special and devoted to me. It’s hard to explain. But I just love him so very much.
I would highly recommend getting a Pom! I’ve had two and they’ve been the best dogs ive ever had. They love to snuggle, play and can herd.
RIP Missy, mama misses you so much!! 😇
I lost two last year, 17 & 20 years old.
They were both very much part of our family.
I had one rehomed to me. He was the most beautiful and smartest dog I ever saw no exaggeration! I use to be in awe of his intelligence just made me laugh and laugh, too. Miss him very much.
I have a throwback Pom. I am alone a lot and she is such good company. Very smart and very vocal. They’re good barkers. I love my dog.
I remember watching this video before getting a Pom. My lil guy is pure love ❤️
I own a Pomeranian and had him since he was a puppy. The video is imformative and true. My Pom is no toy but a throwback where his Gene are likely dominant by the Spitz breed.
FoodyLucious how old is yours?
My pom is 8 coming 9
FoodyLucious
*My pom is 14 lbs., & is teddy bear face. She's almost 9 years old. Best thing, other than my kids, that's ever happened to me!!*

Mine is also a Throwback, he weighs 17 lbs, so he's a large Pom
I have had two incredible Pomeranians and they were the best dog/ babies ever. Smart, cute funny - now if only men could be like that!
I have five...love them. All have distinctly different personalities. Very smart dogs and loyal little dogs. :)
my grandma bred poms, and the two that she used were longtime family pets, even after she stopped breeding. the male was the reason why i laughed for the first time as a baby. kids do need to be mindful to be gentle, as with all animals. i was always around dogs, so i knew that being gentle in my petting was important. the mom trusted me with her babies when i was young. theyve both now passed, but i have the runt of the last litter bred. hes a very affectionate and vocal dog. as my nannie say “theyre greeters” you cant be mad for how loud they can be. i just love poms so much
hes old now and we have an old mastiff mix as well. theyre very good friends and will eat at the same time without problems. they sit on the same bed and always go outside together. poms are great pets, coming from someone that has grown with them my whole life
very well done video of my favorite breed - I presently have two plus a standard poodle. They get along famously. The little poms are jewels wrapped in fur coats made of love, total adoration and affection.
my 8th pom is now 15 years old. I love poms for the reason you mention, smart, personable, healthy, pretty and easy care and loving.
I love mine and want to get more in the future.
my moms throwback pom is 12. She had teeth removed. This will be moms last dog so we hope she lives awhile yet
That and Organic Plain Yogurt to help them to digest the food.
my pom is a year and 6 months and still has one milk teeth and it’s the bottom left canine
I just got a pomeranian puppy about 3 weeks ago and I have never been more in love with a breed of dog she always wants to be with me
I’ve wanted one of these forever! My parents are finally going to let me get one, and I can’t wait!
Lucky you!
I rescued a partial pom and I've had tons of rescues, this dog is smart! And he's a love.
I learned so many new things holy cow. Without this, the Pomeranian I’m adopting would have been unhealthy. Thankyou
Wonderful breed! They are loving and sweet. Always funny and entertaining to be around.
Truly the greatest breed of dog. Just the utmost sweetest!
AHHHH IM SO EXCITED!!! I’m getting a Pom for Christmas this year! I can’t wait to meet him
So how was he/she?

@@violetsmith3364 aww that is so cute. Good for you!
Very cute!! :) We have some Pomeranians of our own and cant get enough of them!
My Pomeranian, Teddy is a 13 years old, has heart murmur, i administer meds for him twice a day , monthly vet visits and he’s still going strong.
Our Pom,Romeo, always has a smile on his face.😊
Yes, they are the one breed of dog, that *truly* smiles.😊
I had mine for 18 years I loved him very much.
Have 2... they are scary smart and loving. .. well behaved And very social. ... nice video
Just curious, how are they scary? My little Pom isn't the slightest bit scary, but she sometimes thinks she is. :)
Scary? Lol! 😂😂😂
scary when they pee on the carpet that is

I want a Pomeranian so bad.
I knew someone who owned a pomeranian. And the dog 🐕 was beautiful 😍
My little bear is 16 and still very lively, I hope he stays with us for a while longer.💙💙💙
I really want one so badly it’s so cute 🥰 Like omg I can’t resist it’s cuteness
Great video - our “Blaney” fits every characteristics shown. We got him July 2019 when he turned 2! Been in our home almost 7 months and he brings a smile to our faces everyday.
Adorable breed!
So true.
Even if you work 9 to 5 the rest of the world works as well you have to think a lot of dogs that need homes sit and humane society pens 24/7 lucky to get an hour out a day, adopt!
Maddy Gowers get one. Just have em a cat companian. Make sure its a kitten and that its spayed
LOL You can do it!
meh to my mom says she has enough responsibly with me and. my I'll grandma:
I have a pomeranian and she is the best dog I have ever had. She's sweet, funny, smart, and loving.

i’m getting a pom soon! i’m soo exciteddd i’ve always wanted a dog and now i’m finally getting one 💗
Congrats!😊
the pure bred teddy bear pom is the ultimate pom, the only reason they don't like kids is cuz kids tend to TERRORIZE and ABUSE them, this is a VERY loving breed and any aggressive and loud natured behavior pisses them off, my pom was a PERFECT angel and never ever had to be exposed to violent rude natured children, THANK GOD!

my mom adopted a pom/corgi mix, we assume she was rescued from a puppy mill. wren is.. not the sharpest tool in the shed, but she's so goofy and loving. she is incredibly protective of anyone she deems good, and knows instantly when someone is dangerous. i love her to bits.
I have mix pom. Really intilligent and people loves him. I have to take him out for a walk more often. Great viedeo. Thanks!
Luis astudillo my Pom cross is like that too she crossed with a sheltie
Lol too old & sickly...lol)
Great video with some good info!
My Pomeranian Caramel is the sweetest of all, always so calm & looking after her Yorkie sister.
They are the best breed! I have owned 4 and currently have 2. An orange sable female named CoCo, 10 and an ice white male named Sugar, 2. Nellie lived 16 years and this is not uncommon. Also, there are 3 face types: Fox faced, teddy bear and babydoll. They are so utterly adorable😊
love the breed. i've had a pom in my life since i was a kid
Poms are soooooooo cute! My friend has one called rocky. Whenever we go to his house he's overexcited jumping everywhere. LOL.
I have a all white 6 month old and would never trade this dog for any other, he is so smart and so adorable 😊😊😊
