Why edit the Hosts file when you can simply use ifconfig and type the IP in a browser. Seems an unnecessary step.

ifconfig is a Linux command - note that this is coming from a Windows 7 machine. You could simply use the IP in the browser, and there's nothing wrong with that, as I explained at 8:28
