A few updates to the video based on your great feedback: 1. Unfortunately, it looks like you CANNOT unlock Limited Students from the Expert Permit shop, you can only increase their star ranking once you've obtained them! Thank you for everyone who helped to confirm that, I'm sorry for any confusion about that from this video! 2. I've received great feedback that different regions have different levels to get to Platinum, e.g. the North American Region only gives you Platinum Ranking between 0-5K, whereas in South East Asia, that goes from 0-10K, so your region's rankings might look slightly different depending on where you're playing! I would still give the same advice for reaching Platinum (look at the top players in your region, look at banner characters, run lots of mock battles) but do know that reaching Gold Ranking for Total Assault is a great way to get gems without the strain of the Platinum grind! 3. Several people pointed out that leveling special character's equipment DOES have slight benefits for your strikers, but I would still suggest doing that on a case by case basis (e.g. only sink resources when you feel like you can spare them, and even then, prioritize your main special students for extra equipment leveling). Facade7733 has a great comment that goes over this below: "Leveling up support student equipment and tier'ing them up even if its not their ''important'' one so if you level up an atk and hp piece equipment it goes into a shared support stat pool that takes some % of the stats its not like a massive massive amount but if your support students has said equipment upgraded it calculates out of it together of their total current stats. but you can absolutely argue since its not so big of a stat boost to the strikers it imparts from the support addition stats. you can level that up slower. but its worth to know." 4. Crafting furniture boxes is a considerably more expensive process than other crafting boxes, and it may be worthwhile to use the other crafting methods if you need certain materials. Scher has an excellent comment outlining this below: "Something I feel is worth making note of is that for the Material Fusion part of crafting, the furniture boxes are the only one that's as expensive as it is. The other boxes (tech notes/blu-rays/artifacts) are traded at a 1:1 ratio with 1 keystone for the raffle tickets, and are traded at a 2:1 ratio with 3 keystones for the selective box. I feel this can actually be very useful for anyone who might find themselves sitting on a large pile of certain types of tech notes/blu-rays/artifacts that they don't normally use. Especially since certain schools like Red Winter or Valkyrie have very few students, being able to exchange those tech notes/blu-rays at a 2:1 ratio for stuff like Millennium or Gehenna has been pretty helpful for how many units from those schools I find myself working on."
@@Balbaneth I would LOVE to stream Blue Archive, but tragically I play on my phone and capture software for phone games is really bad at the moment... I tried a few different things for this video and actually had to capture all my game footage using a screen recorder that only seems to work on the phone itself, and not for streaming. That being said, I'm on the hunt for something that would let me stream the game, cause I think that would be a ton of fun to share! The other truth of the matter is I work a pretty demanding full time job, and finding time to stream is tricky, but I'm planning on doing a test stream in the next month (I've got my drawing software all ready to go) and if that goes smoothly, I'm hoping to do more streams in the future as well! :)
@@Lichtonatus Dear god, I thought 5000 was rough but 2000 is absolutely brutal. That's genuinely surprising to me, are there really that fewer players in Europe? I know the US/Canada has a big gacha community but that's nuts how small those Platinum margins are, you have my deepest condolences 😖🙏
@Steven 1773 lmao you are completely right; for better or worse, I'm my own editor, so things definitely slip through the cracks, but thankfully the overall meaning was still conveyed if nothing else! 😅
@@yumietsuchinoko You can play mobile games from your PC with blue stacks, so you should be able to stream blue archive with that. Also, I’ve been a long time player of Azur Lane (~2-3 years), so your guide has given me some really nice tips as a new player for Blue Archive (only started 2 days ago). Your cheerfulness made it enjoyable to watch your guide - thanks for this guide as a new player.
I've been playing this game since launch but still ended up watching this entire video just because your voice and personality were so bubbly and warm!!
That is so kind of you to say, thank you!! This was such a satisfying way to share whatever knowledge I could about the game, I'm glad that you enjoyed listening even as someone who has played since launch!
A tip for players who might be struggling with stage clear speed challenges: When your students clear a wave of enemies they often idle around to wait out any animations that other students might be playing. However, if you use a movement EX skill, like Fuuka's or Serina's for example, you can overwrite the idling and make them start moving immediately to the reposition spot and then immediately start running foward. This way you can scoot your students to the next wave earlier, shaving a few seconds off of potential time waste and get those 3* or challenge clears more easily.
I just want to add a little something that's basically a ghost mechanic in Blue Archive. There's a hidden mechanic that reduces the damage taken by enemies on the stage that depends on the recommended level. "It's 2% damage reduction per level, capped at 60%. Basically, your student does less damage when they are below an enemy's level, and vice versa." _-bluearchive wiki_ So make sure that your DPS students are well and raised while climbing through the stages!
The amount of care that went into this guide is apparent from minute one, as a new Blue Archive player I am profoundly grateful. You've got yourself a new subscriber and I'll be sure to pass the video along to my friends!
That's so kind of you to say, thank you!! I feel like this video was the least I could do after playing the game for so long, so I'm ecstatic that I can help out with learning how to play the game!
50 minutes of genuine advice My thought process: I like Haruka, I'm gonna push all my resources into maxing her and make my way through pvp with 4 tanks (and somehow this keeps me around rank 20-40)
This guide is perfect! The pacing is slow enough to follow everything you're saying, but quick enough to keep my interest, and I have ADHD😅 You would make a really good teacher! Hope your channel blows up, you deserve it🖤
That is insanely kind of you to say, thank you!! 😖🙏 For a long time, I actually was considering being a teacher, but sadly the work environment there is pretty rough. That being said, this channel has been a great way for me to scratch that itch and share what I know about my favorite games, so I'm looking forward to continuing to make more videos for you all to enjoy!
That is so kind of you!! Positive vibes is exactly what I aim for; I love listening to people share what they're passionate about, and it's been really nice to share what I love about Blue Archive as a result!
As a non-whale player(Tsurugi Best Girl) who likes the pvp you can get to the top with unexpected team comps. I find it very fun because the tactics are broken down to simple placement and deference of how your defense teams will act based on how your opponents act in mirrored placements.
Beautiful video i loved it, i dunno if it was mentioned because this vid was long, but in case u didnt something important to know is that Support Character who are in the background even thou they are not on the field fighting a % of their STATS is transferred to all the Waifus On da Field increasing their Attack/Defense/Health/etc. So u will want to Beef Up those characters at the end of the day.
Something I feel is worth making note of is that for the Material Fusion part of crafting, the furniture boxes are the only one that's as expensive as it is. Especially since certain schools like Red Winter or Valkyrie have very few students, being able to exchange those tech notes/blu-rays at a 2:1 ratio for stuff like Millennium or Gehenna has been pretty helpful for how many units from those schools I find myself working on.
This is an excellent point, thank you for this! I'll shout out your comment in the pinned comment, I really appreciate your insight on regular boxes vs furniture ones!
Even though I've been playing this game for about a year, I can say that this video is an awesome way to consolidate information about this game in one place. This is an awesome resource for people to really get a good understanding of what this game really is. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. Keep up the great work!
That is so kind of you, thank you so much!! I'm so glad the time I put into it was worthwhile; I've been spending a lot of time gathering my thoughts abou the game for the last year and it's really nice to finally share what I've learned for anyone getting into the game!
I'm so glad to hear that!! I feel like there is a lot of depth in this game that can be easy to miss, so I wanted to try and break things down as much as possible for anyone interested in the game. I'm so glad that it was helpful for hopping back into it!
There is actually a trick on youtube for scrimmage, i always get destroyed before watching the video for 03 C, because they usually attack not just tank but other damage dealer that have low hp, so the solution actually pretty simple that is you just need to send Tank in the middle of enemy by using support student that can guide movement like serina. i usually send tsubaki in the middle of enemy.. Btw, this video is very good tutorial for new player!
Ohhhhhhh I should give that a watch, thank you for the recommendation! I will check that out and attempt 03 again soon, since it does seem like the rewards for clearing that will make it worth the time investment. Tsubaki is just a stellar tank overall, I love that she's only a 2 star initially since that makes her really accessible to obtain!
I dropped Blue Archive for a good 6+ months, so this is a really great refresher to get back into things. Thank you kindly for breaking everything down in great digestible bites and the timestamps to replay certain parts.
I just started playing blue archive and this guide really helps a lot. Your positive vibes and playful voice goes a long way. it makes me excited to play the game thanks for the video.
I'm so glad to hear that!! I hope you have a fantastic time playing the game, there are a ton of events coming up that will be a bunch of fun to play through!
This was a great help. I was stuck in mid levels not knowing how to set up a team with color types. After your tips and tricks things have been a lot easier. Thanks a lot!
That is absolutely fantastic to hear!! I always felt bad that there wasn't a guide like this when I started, so I'm delighted to know that this helped for making your way through the mud levels in the game!
Bounties encourages use of students from different academies, which certainly makes the difference Aside of that detail, goddamn I'm surprised this isn't sponsored; the script, editing highlighting everything is mentioned, an incredible clear & joyful talking pace... I'm an old sensei already, but couldn't help to watch whole video for how greta it is (NO WAY STUDENTS INTERACT WITH FURNITURE!!!! That explains Wakamo sitting so calm and never leaving) Thanks for the effort, and see you on the lore video (Which is on "Watch later" list... 2 hours with this edition? Sign me in)
Great guide but several things I want to add as a fellow veteran: The top most scrimmage doesn't use stamina, if you want to get an early lead as you get closer to maxing your favorite students please farm the free ones it'll save you tons of effort later on. Also you can manipulate your EX skill order if you pay attention to the rotation, I typically like to bring 1 burner character in raids who's EX skill I'll never use but has damage advantage so I can cycle my buff and damage combo infinitely. Also I highly recommend farming Shun elephs because at the start of battle she'll pump up your bar allowing you to use a much larger initial burst which is so clutch in raids and pvp. And lastly, the bi weekly stamina pack is worth it and if you buy it both times a month you'll double your efficiency and it costs the same as the monthly so instead of 6$ a month you can support for 12$ plus taxes and double both your playtime and resources. Best of luck my fellow senseis on all your gacha rolls I hope you pull your favorite students and give them lots of headpats ❤
Good guide. Despite the game being out for 1 year and Global and approaching 2 years on JP, I don't believe anyone else has ever done a comprehensive video guide for beginners before. You manage to present the important parts (for beginners) in a reasonably succinct manner. My one and only comment (out of the entire 50min video, impressive!) is in regards to the refilling for AP with Pyroxenes. IF you're the type of player who enjoys trying really hard and clearing max difficulty content, then refilling is generally recommended. x3 a day by default and x6 a day when a very good event is on. You said it yourself that "Total Assault focuses on having powerful characters" - refilling is exactly what you need to do to build these powerful characters and is what enables non-whales to clear the hardest content (and even be equally competitive with the wealthiest of whales). Of course this is at the trade off for less pulls, but mathematically the reward from refilling is typically more effective than the handful of extra pulls you would have otherwise. ...but then again... I suppose this comment is void because you clearly weren't talking to (to-be) hardcore players. Thanks again for putting in the work for this wonderful game. I can sense your passion for it and you've certainly given back to the community. Do you mind if I link people to this if they're in need of a video guide explaining the basics?
I would be honored if you link this guide, I cannot thank you enough for your kind words! I originally intended for this to be a maximum of 30 minutes long and then it morphed into this 50 minute comprehensive guide... Honestly I'm quite happy to hear that the AP refill is the only point of contention, I think that's a very good shoutout! I definitely waffled about how nuanced to make the AP refill discussion, because I've heard some really compelling points about it, but the more I thought about it, the more I worried it would be confusing for newer players so I just went with what I've always done. My main focus here was trying to help people approach the game without feeling like they need to whale, but as a fellow Platinum grinder, I definitely see the benefits of AP refills to make sure your teams are as stacked as they can be. Something I've really loved is how the Assistant feature has made Total Assault much easier to approach, since you can use stacked characters from other players if you want to invest elsewhere! Again, thank you for your fantastic feedback, I'm glad to hear this guide would be helpful to distribute as needed!
As someone who only buys the biweekly stamina pack, and the monthly pack but it's typically in the top 5k for raids you don't need to infinitely refill unless you really really need that extra 200pyros and honestly it isn't worth it at that point just buy the gems lol
stop playing blue archive for months because I got really butthurt for not getting the pull that I wanted now time to play it again and this guide really helps
Im glad your video appear on my main page youtube, and I can't believe I watch it till the end lol. I really like how passionate you are when explaining the all content of BA. Instant subs and can't wait for your next BA content
Honestly I'm amazed as many people have watched this to the end, lol, it was so much longer than I anticipated but I'm glad that it was helpful for explaining the content in the game! With how positive this response has been, it gives me so much confidence to share more Blue Archive content with you all in the future!
I just started playing this game last night. After pondering whether to play it for months. It’s overwhelming but your video helps a lot. I really love the characters and music and arts.
My advice on Tactical Challenge mode: Either you invest heavily in tank, or High Burst damage or large AOE( preferably in large cluster, not straight line) and low EX cost student. Reason she complained on Tactical Challenge because they have low cost for EX and deal high damage per hit. Usually in this mode, it's a battle on how long your team last or how astronomically heavy your team can delete opposition. If you want to last long to win, I suggest have multiple avenue of healing and a few heavy button. As for Auto battle, they will follow EX slot from left to right, and circle until the battle done, time out or you lost all strikers. So low cost EX actually viable for Auto if your team are good enough.
Thank you so much for this really great guide. I downloaded the game at launch but was sidetracked with other games so I never got into it. Picked it up recently as I was looking for a new game to play fresh and now I’m hooked but felt as if I lacked core knowledge like long time players. This has so much helpful stuff and it was fun to watch!! Hoping to be like you clearing those highest tier raids one day! 😁
This is a great guide. As a new player there are a couple of things I don't agree with though. Rerolling is not just for PVP but for PVE also. It's a very very valuable tool especially if you are starting when there is a really good banner active. I started the game with multiple great high level students after rerolling for a few hours. Only something to do if you want to tryhard but very worth it if you do. Also with PVP as a beginner you absolutely should push for it. Wait until you're lvl 30 to start PVP as it puts you into the easiest bracket, you can very easily be top 100 or 200 which will give you 100 pvp coins per day (180 xp per day from PVP shop) and you will earn between 5-7k pyro which is huge for pulling new characters. Really enjoyed the video and great info but those are a couple of things I think are inaccurate as of today.
As someone who's played the game for a year you did a fantastic job explaining how the game works and made it easy too understand I would say the only thing missing is who beginner's should be summoning for but none the less it's a great video can't wait too see more :)
Thank you so much!! I'm so glad to hear that other long term players liked the guide as well; I definitely wanted to spend more time talking about which characters are great for new players, but the video was already approaching 50 minutes, so I tried to highlight which characters I like the most in the character section and am planning on making a separate video about the pros and cons of all the characters (although people have requested a Lore Archive video so I'll be working on that one first!)
Thank you so much!! It was a lot of work to put all this together but I think it's been well worth it; I'm excited to put together more videos for you all in the future!
That is legit the exact reason why I made this video, I wanted a guide like this so badly when I started and was hoping to make the game as accessible as possible for anyone getting into it! Thank you so much for your kind words, it seriously makes all the work I put in worthwhile! :)
That is so awesome, I'm so glad this guide is so helpful! I hope you've been enjoying the game and have had a chance to check out the fun event that's currently going on! ^_^
I really appreciate the video. It is easy to understand with the additional marker to focus on the topic at hand. This is a must watch for beginners! Thanks for making this video!
That is so kind of you to say, thank you!! I wanted to make this as approachable as possible for people at different levels within the game, so knowing that this is a great beginner guide makes me so glad to hear!
Thank you!! (^- ^ ) I'd been playing for 2 years since the launch and recently made the hard decision to start from the beginning again. And even knowing all that I know, it's nice to watch such a thorough video!
Love this video. Been playing kinda casually and doing whatever, and started taking the game more seriously a couple of weeks ago, and this guide was very helpful.
That's fantastic to hear! Truth to told, I was worried the video length might spook people who were interested in playing, so that is wonderful to hear that it was fun to watch and helpful all the same! 🙏😊
I'm glad to hear there is a lot of interest for more character content about the game! Making a tier list would be tremendously hard with so many characters but I'm planning on doing a walk through of all the characters (character overviews, gameplay, etc) that I think will be just as informative! That will be a little later on for now since I have a Lore video planned for January, but I'm hoping to get the character video out shortly after so I don't let too much time pass! :)
Now that was a hella useful guide. Worth more the 1 hour better than 3 weeks of reading docs and datamines struggling with my ADHD. Thanks for the video!
I had to leave a comment on your video since i've been coming back to it to check on how every aspect of the game works, it is so useful for a new player like me (been playing for couple of days, i'm obsessed already lol), so thank you, i'm subscribed already, hopefully to can keep making videos about the game or upload some gameplay for the events and stuff, love your voice too, (i'm also watching your lore video from time to time).
That is so awesome to hear, I'm so glad you've enjoyed these videos! I am absolutely planning on making more gameplay content, especially with all the new features that keep getting added to the game. I really appreciate your kind words and look forward to sharing more Lore videos with you all in the nearish future!
That is so kind of you to say!! I absolutely adore this game, so knowing that I can share my insight and thoughts about the characters and gameplay is incredibly gratifying!
For what it's worth in raids its a good thing to note that in about sometime mid January the floodgates will open for borrowing in raids/joint exercise as Friends lists will soon exist there are 30 slots. So you'll have the chance at adding people with well invested units to borrow for raid. They will gladly accept people who will borrow their units as credits are never enough. It won't just be a find a club that's actually playing the game issue soon enough. Raid malding is resource expensive. Capturing BA footage you'd either want to get a usb c to hdmi dongle + capture card, scrcpy see github there will be no sound, or emulate it.
Started playing around a week ago and found this very helpful, weirdly enough major takeaway I got here is to resist more on pulling! Already done 120 this week alone and should probably save them when a character I want goes on rate up and not blindly spamming pulls for a hail mary (please do come home though Iroha)
This is an incredible guide I can see how much you like BA, maybe the only thing missing is how to reroll your account which is really easy to do, looking forward for more BA content ❤
That's so kind of you, thank you! I have absolutely adored this game and wanted to give back whatever knowledge I could for anyone picking up the game or wanting to learn more about the game! It's funny you bring up rerolling: I'm definitely the minority on this, but I never rerolled my account and didn't have Hibiki or Iori until I was max level! I still had a ton of fun playing even without them, and with how many awesome characters there are, I found a lot of other great characters to play even without the top tier damage dealers for a huge chunk of the game. I think the Blue Archive subreddit and Wiki's have some great resources for people interested in that, so I can always mention that in future content as well!
During the Stages like 9-1 Hard Mode where you need to do it in 3 turns, you can When your Leaders/Students Are right next tap on one student and Select "move" it doesn't take a turn away which is nice and you get an extra move too
Came from your other video (the good the bad and the gacha). Then came here. I'm a DIE HARD day one FGO player. Blue Archive is I think what I would have love FGO to be. So yeah, I'm jumping in. Thank you for the great videos. I'll commit to the F2P (minus the monthly pass) life. It's more healthy that way. But the game seems to allow it. So yeah. Can't wait to see how the story goes. I started Honkai Star Rail and I was bombared with so much stuff like a battle pass, how the gacha works how much daily grind you have to do that I looked back to Blue Archive and really wanted to give it a try. Which is what I'll do now that I don't have a potato phone. Anyway all of this to say amazing video thanks for the tips.
That makes me so glad to hear!! FGO and the Hoyoverse games really do try to suck your wallet dry... I've been delighted at how F2P friendly Blue Archive has been, especially with how the developers really care about the story and characters despite that! I hope that you have a fantastic time playing Blue Archive, it is such a gem and I am delighted that so many people are jumping into it!!
Fellow FGO player here, been playing for year, but really dislike the direction Lasengle is taking the game in. Jumped to Blue Archive and wished FGO had these features.
That is fantastic to hear; I feel like there are a lot of small quality of life aspects to the game that even long term players miss, so I'm glad that this was helpful even for someone who has played for a while!
That is so kind of you to say!! You actually caught this at an excellent time, because I have another gameplay video coming out in the next week, so I hope it will be a good listen as well!
I dont really subscribe to ppl nor do i watch yt peeps alot but your vid was so cute that i did both and im a max lvl player too haha in fact im even in the plat on asia server albeit low end and i find it heart-warming to hear your advices for the game also solidify my view that my clubmates are really titans and im not wierd for being low end plat rather just doing what i can to some extent also forgot to say, each char has mood on certain terrains, it does alao help cuz a yellow unit with happy mood can deal better dmg than a red unit with sad mood against a red enemy could make the difference at some point
That is seriously nice of you to say, thank you!! There are so many people who play casually, and I'm extremely happy to share whatever knowledge I can so that people can enjoy the game at their own pace. Terrain definitely has a big impact on a character's abilities, but I'm glad it isn't so tremendous that you can't play around it; the game's mechanics are really forgiving if you bring a character to a level and they aren't excellent on that terrain, which is a flexible feature I've really enjoyed in the game so far!
My deepest condolences... Priconne was taken from this world too soon.. thankfully, this game's economy is very similar to Priconne, so I hope you enjoy your stay!!
That was a huge reason why I wanted to make this guide, since there is a lot of information out there but it's all rather jumbled and difficult to sift through, especially for new players. I'm really glad that this was helpful and current for starting out on the global version!
I am so glad to hear that!! There are seriously so many hidden quality of life aspects to this game, I'm still finding out new things all the time and wanted to share whatever I could!
@@yumietsuchinoko i was also wander if u could tell me wat students i should focus on building i have all the meta ish chars ( sadly idk all of there names). but that wat i feel i struggle with the most :(
@@liztaylor105 absolutely, I'd be happy to give some advice! Hibiki is one of the best characters in the game, so if you have her, I'd say to level her EX skill and last skill that increases striker crit dmg; besides that, Haruna, Iori (normal ver), and Azusa (both versions) are all amazing single target dmg dealers that get crazy good if you max their EX skills (Haruna especially, since her EX cost goes from 4 to 3 at max level), and for AOE, I think that Hibiki, Aru (normal ver), Mutsuki (both versions), the twins (Momoi and Midori), Nonomi, Chise, Koharu, and Hina (swimsuit) are well worth leveling up as well. For tanks, my favorites are Natsu (buffs your whole team intermittently and heals herself with EX skill), Tsubaki (literally unkillable tank), and Neru (bunny ver) are all a ton of fun, but this is all dependent on if you have them or not!
@@yumietsuchinoko i think i have most of them ik this not mind work but is there a way for me sent u a photo of my students. If u can’t totally fine:), but ty for the guide
@@liztaylor105 thank you for your patience, I just got back from visiting family so that kept me pretty busy! I haven't found a good way for you to send a pic of students you have, but I'm hoping to make a discord at some point in the next month where people can talk about theory crafting, how to build different students and so forth, so I hope my other advice will help in the interim while I'm setting that up!
That is so kind of you to say, thank you!! I'm so glad that this video was so helpful; I feel like there are a lot of small things that are easy to miss when you're first starting out, so it's the least I can do to try and walk through how the game works for anyone picking it up!
Hi, thank you very much for this. Really helpful! I downloaded, and played, the JP version more than a year ago but never progressed. I am trying to re-learn the mechanics and your guide has been really helpful. Easy to understand for total beginners like myself.
I'm so glad to hear that! I feel like there's a lot of hidden depth to the game that is really easy to miss, and so I wanted this guide to be as comprehensive as possible for anyone interested in the game. I hope that you are enjoying your time playing, you started again at a great time when all these fun events are going on in the game!
thanks so much for all the info and the video. Literally is the only video I watched that didn't end up making me feel more confused :_) thanks for your work and have a beautiful day!
Oh my word, that is so fantastic to hear, I'm so glad that this was helpful!! I tried really hard to break everything down to make it as understandable as possible, so knowing that it all made sense is spectacular!
Thank you so much!! I would LOVE for Blue Archive to get an anime, I seriously hope they consider that because the characters and story are so much fun!
I dont usually comment and im not very fond of vtubers neither but your guide was really really good. Everything is super clear and honestly you voice is very calm and soft, your model is very cute and goofy I really like it.
I remember when I first gave Blue Archive a go, the freebie 3star I got was Tsurugi. Now luckily I weirdly enjoy the whole "psychotic murder rage" bit, but given how adorable and/or "Korean sexualized" the game is marketed as I was.. shocked. -It's nice to get the confirmation that all characters can basically become full-fledged max-stars. I've wondered for a while if upgrading a 1-star to a 3-star gave them comparable stats. Coming from other gacha games where it's usually still diminishing returns and higher tiered characters are *always* more powerful, it's nice they let you keep your favorite students through the later difficulties. -48:30 or so, seeing that you can drag across the Live2D's and get that character movement was somehow the most mind-blowing thing for me. Immediately had to go see Meruri do that xD
Im so happy that recently, since Grand Assault has come out, Ive been regularly making gold in it! Except for that time it was Goz, the Assault of my nightmares. I have no clue how to beat him without a marking character, and the only marking character i know I have is Sakurako
i have no idea how did i manage to get to platinum rank in tactical challenge in just a month playing (with bad character combinations as well LMAO) but! excluding that, i really like how thorough your guide is! i'll definitely follow some advice in this guide. you've earned yourself a new sub :D
It's my pleasure!! I really wanted a guide like this when I first started playing, so I'm so grateful I was able to put this together for anyone who wanted more info on the huge number of features in this game!
@@yumietsuchinoko You did great, and I appreciate the additional resources and shout outs to other content creators. Plus you're easy to listen to and have a great speaking voice. Keep up the good work 🤘
the terrain is more important if you plan on reaching plat rank on Total Assault than anything else, as it defines if certain characters will do increased dmg or reduced dmg because of it, so certain strategies/team comps that work just fine on the boss in one terrain won't work as well on a different terrain, even facing the same boss
It definitely has some difficulty spikes as levels get more complicated, but I'm hoping that using the type matching chart and youtube walk-throughs will help you as much as they helped me when I was starting out!
38:29 Actually the strat here is that at the start of the season, you reach the highest possible rank that you can past the bot placements. You actively WANT to use your gems to refresh those 5 tickets to get the highest possible rank. Then once you start running into actual people (especially the maxed levels), that's when you stop. You would be able to get your pyroxene spent back (and more) if you do this at the start of every PVP season. Other than that you can just ignore this mode if you want to. Having a lone Tsubaki and Iori on field with the Tsubaki doing her taunt costing me the game is a pain I wouldn't want to wish upon you.
I don't really take PvP seriously, but I happen to have some of the meta characters at max level so I manage to get to the top ten every once in a while without refreshing.
Thanks for this video, I started playing a week ago so this info is really useful. I mainly play genshin but im really liking this game because is so chill to play on the side. Looking forward to more videos especially the lore one you mentioned in the comments!
That is so great to hear, I'm so glad this information is useful! I completely agree that this game is so chill to play and demands very little of your time (which is especially great as a Genshin player!) The huge story patch should be dropping in less than a month, and then I can take some time to put together materials for that Lore video! 😊
Wow the best guide that i found!! Just 2 days ago i install this game because my favorite gacha game will end their global server next month. I still stuck at mission 5 and just notice i need more aoe student to easily clear the stage. I don't have hibiki because i got iori and shiroko and later got Noa, utaha cheer and Hamburger girl with total 30 pulls. Mystic student still useless for me but i decided to not really this account.
Amazing guide 👍, I have around 2 to 3 months in blue archive and I absolutely fell in love with the game its easily my 2nd favorite gacha game I've played my 1st is Arknights. I love the characters, my favorites are cherino she's adorable and I loved the story in her event, Koharu she's also adorable and when I found out she likes umm Nsfw books I busted a gut that was hilarious, and Azusa is a recent favorite when I started the eden treaty story. A character I dont have but I loved in the story is Aris, the way she talks after she becomes addicted to games is so cute and funny, and when she gets her giant laser gun in the story is probably my favorite scene in the all the stories I've experienced it was also got busting hilarious. The gameplay is simple but its sooooooo much fun that was a very pleasant surprise. I'll definitely be subscribing to your channel.
That is so incredibly kind of you, thank you so much!! I am SO happy to find people who also love this game, the story and characters are just so adorable, and you can really tell how much time the game developers put into the animations and story! Cherino is crazy cute and honestly one of the strongest piercing units in the game; I've become a huge fan of her second-in-command Tomoe too, especially since her in-game animations are so adorable! Koharu is a GEM! She and Hanako are truly made for each other, but she just hasn't quite realized that yet. Azusa is absolutely delightful, her and Hifumi are the perfect pair with how well they complement each other. I hope you're able to get Aris at some point, because she is so much fun! Her and the twins are a blast to play with, and their in-game stories are so incredibly endearing. I honestly didn't expect these videos to get as much attention as they have, I am so grateful for all the kind comments people have left! It makes me really excited to make more Blue Archive videos (particularly about the lore) in the future! :)
Started a month ago right when the free pulls were going on (didn't know SHoshino was great till after I'm crying but I got SChise so it's ok) been playing other gachas like gbf gfl ak etc. for years (granblue max lv player so I know the pressure and grind of any competition mode) been enjoying the game at a more casual pace and it was nice hearing what stuff should/shouldn't be priority. Just wish I could level faster so I can keep doing the story q.q Video was great ty excited to check others
Thank you for watching it! I'm so glad to hear that it's so informative, I couldn't believe that it ended up being 50 minutes, but it hits all the main sections I wanted to cover, and I'm hoping to make more content about the Lore and characters in the future!
A few updates to the video based on your great feedback:
Facade7733 has a great comment that goes over this below:
"Leveling up support student equipment and tier'ing them up even if its not their ''important'' one so if you level up an atk and hp piece equipment it goes into a shared support stat pool that takes some % of the stats its not like a massive massive amount but if your support students has said equipment upgraded it calculates out of it together of their total current stats. but you can absolutely argue since its not so big of a stat boost to the strikers it imparts from the support addition stats. you can level that up slower. but its worth to know."
4. Crafting furniture boxes is a considerably more expensive process than other crafting boxes, and it may be worthwhile to use the other crafting methods if you need certain materials. Scher has an excellent comment outlining this below:
"Something I feel is worth making note of is that for the Material Fusion part of crafting, the furniture boxes are the only one that's as expensive as it is.
Platinum is reserved for 0-2000 in the EU. It's pretty rough.
A tip for players who might be struggling with stage clear speed challenges:
When your students clear a wave of enemies they often idle around to wait out any animations that other students might be playing.
Thank you! I just started playing Blue Archive two days ago, and their idling was driving me nuts when I was trying to 3-star clear
I just want to add a little something that's basically a ghost mechanic in Blue Archive.
There's a hidden mechanic that reduces the damage taken by enemies on the stage that depends on the recommended level.
"It's 2% damage reduction per level, capped at 60%. Basically, your student does less damage when they are below an enemy's level, and vice versa."
_-bluearchive wiki_
So make sure that your DPS students are well and raised while climbing through the stages!
50 minutes of genuine advice
My thought process: I like Haruka, I'm gonna push all my resources into maxing her and make my way through pvp with 4 tanks (and somehow this keeps me around rank 20-40)
This is the way! I absolutely love that conviction, 4 tanks to live through PVP is fantastic, especially with Haruka included!
I agree, it's well spoken and the pace is very good.
This was a delight to listen to. You have a great voice, and the way you are always near chuckling gives such positive vibes.
As someone who recently returned to BA, after dropping it almost immediately after it launched, this was very helpful to get back on things ~
Bounties encourages use of students from different academies, which certainly makes the difference
Aside of that detail, goddamn I'm surprised this isn't sponsored; the script, editing highlighting everything is mentioned, an incredible clear & joyful talking pace... I'm an old sensei already, but couldn't help to watch whole video for how greta it is (NO WAY STUDENTS INTERACT WITH FURNITURE!!!! That explains Wakamo sitting so calm and never leaving)
Thanks for the effort, and see you on the lore video (Which is on "Watch later" list... 2 hours with this edition? Sign me in)
Great guide but several things I want to add as a fellow veteran:
The top most scrimmage doesn't use stamina, if you want to get an early lead as you get closer to maxing your favorite students please farm the free ones it'll save you tons of effort later on.
I joined back in blue archive and still didnt get the gameplay and this video is supremely helpful. Thank you
my mind didn't process that this was a 50 minute guides-
It's a really nice listen
I just started this game and your guide is really handy, it also seems that there is a lack of BA videos on youtube for new players. Thanks alot!!
Absolutely, I'm so glad to help! I wish I had guides like this when I first started, so I'm happy to pass along whatever knowledge I can!
@@yumietsuchinoko Danke. I'll watch your career with great interest.
Just started the game today and your video helped me a lot!
Thank you very much
I just started playing this game last night.
I came back to this game after a year, needed to relearn how to play. Thanks for the guide!
Cute snek, btw
I got iori, yukka, Serina and the tank cat lady in my first 30 pulls. I got lucky af
Nothing like watching hour long beginner tutorials for games im high/max leveled in lol. Nice vid
@@yumietsuchinoko thanks for the like and nice i can't wait too watch the lore video the story in blue archive is amazing
Pvp is really hard and now I know how these typing working thanks for guide 🙂
Honestly quite incredible. Will watch your career with great interest!
Thank you so much!! It was a lot of work to put all this together but I think it's been well worth it; I'm excited to put together more videos for you all in the future!
wish i had a guide like this when i started!!💕 amazingly organized and well spoken, i can tell how much work u put in!!!
That is legit the exact reason why I made this video, I wanted a guide like this so badly when I started and was hoping to make the game as accessible as possible for anyone getting into it! Thank you so much for your kind words, it seriously makes all the work I put in worthwhile! :)
Thank you for the guide, just started this game a few days ago. 😁
Very informative and interesting to listen to, although I already know all this as a veteran.
I appreciate you checking it out all the same, even if a lot of it is refresher info for long term players!
Very high quality and easy to understand guide. Thank you for this.
Love this video. Been playing kinda casually and doing whatever, and started taking the game more seriously a couple of weeks ago, and this guide was very helpful.
Thank you I’ve just started playing this and your video is so clear and easy too grasp … also with your sense of humour makes it fun too watch 😊
That's fantastic to hear! Truth to told, I was worried the video length might spook people who were interested in playing, so that is wonderful to hear that it was fun to watch and helpful all the same! 🙏😊
I was looking for a great beginner guide. You definitely nail it. If you have time, please do the farming guide or character tier list. Thank you.
Wow 50 minutes went by quickly haha
Thank you very much for the intro run through and guide 🙏
thank you sooooo much for the guide.
im kinda fed up on guide who only relies on reroll this and that but doesn't show what fun on the game!
Now that was a hella useful guide. Worth more the 1 hour better than 3 weeks of reading docs and datamines struggling with my ADHD. Thanks for the video!
Just started playing and I'm so glad I found your channel! Keep up the good work!!! You make me want to play the game more now!
How are you not the biggest streamer/ RUclipsr for this game 😮 much love to seeing content of one my favorite mobile games.
That is so kind of you to say!! I absolutely adore this game, so knowing that I can share my insight and thoughts about the characters and gameplay is incredibly gratifying!
I actually didn't understood everything as i'm just started playing but I loved the way she was explaining so I finished watching it.
Played it when it first launched for a few weeks and dropped it , I'm making a comeback hehe
Started playing around a week ago and found this very helpful, weirdly enough major takeaway I got here is to resist more on pulling! Already done 120 this week alone and should probably save them when a character I want goes on rate up and not blindly spamming pulls for a hail mary (please do come home though Iroha)
Thanks for such a detailed intro.
I didn't need 99% of the info in this video but I still watched it all because you presented it very well
This is an incredible guide I can see how much you like BA, maybe the only thing missing is how to reroll your account which is really easy to do, looking forward for more BA content ❤
Thanks Yumie. I've been playing for a couple months but your guide helped to remind me of some of the basics.
That is fantastic to hear; I feel like there are a lot of small quality of life aspects to the game that even long term players miss, so I'm glad that this was helpful even for someone who has played for a while!
You have a really relaxing voice. I hope you make more videos in the future!
That is so kind of you to say!! You actually caught this at an excellent time, because I have another gameplay video coming out in the next week, so I hope it will be a good listen as well!
I dont really subscribe to ppl nor do i watch yt peeps alot but your vid was so cute that i did both
and im a max lvl player too haha
in fact im even in the plat on asia server albeit low end and i find it heart-warming to hear your advices for the game
also solidify my view that my clubmates are really titans and im not wierd for being low end plat rather just doing what i can to some extent
also forgot to say, each char has mood on certain terrains, it does alao help cuz a yellow unit with happy mood can deal better dmg than a red unit with sad mood against a red enemy
could make the difference at some point
That is seriously nice of you to say, thank you!! There are so many people who play casually, and I'm extremely happy to share whatever knowledge I can so that people can enjoy the game at their own pace.
Terrain definitely has a big impact on a character's abilities, but I'm glad it isn't so tremendous that you can't play around it; the game's mechanics are really forgiving if you bring a character to a level and they aren't excellent on that terrain, which is a flexible feature I've really enjoyed in the game so far!
PriConne refugee here, thanks for the comprehensiveness!
My deepest condolences... Priconne was taken from this world too soon.. thankfully, this game's economy is very similar to Priconne, so I hope you enjoy your stay!!
I just started and all the guide I saw on yt is 1 year old so this really helped
That was a huge reason why I wanted to make this guide, since there is a lot of information out there but it's all rather jumbled and difficult to sift through, especially for new players. I'm really glad that this was helpful and current for starting out on the global version!
Amazing guide, easy to follow and understand and of course your soothing voice, keep up the good work.
this is actually wat i needed i been playing the game since lauch and since then i have been free balling it so its actually been super helpful.
My totally functional brain when playing the game: "Just Iroha every single stage then it'll be fine".
Anyways good guide!
Very helpful video, I have to admit that I watched it fully.
I'm so glad to hear that! I wanted to make this video as comprehensive as possible, so I'm really happy that it was so helpful to watch!
Honestly very informative video, also really love your model! As a new player it's been fun figuring everything out.
@@yumietsuchinoko happy to hear that! Again, great work ^^
Great video I'll definitely recommend this to anyone I'm trying to get into BA hopefully we get an anime soon this game definitely deserves it
Thank you so much!! I would LOVE for Blue Archive to get an anime, I seriously hope they consider that because the characters and story are so much fun!
This comment certainly aged really well. A BA anime has been officially announced like 1-2 weeks ago
@@thedarkcity4084 Infinitely hyped for that, I really hope they do justice to the incredible story in this game!
It's a great help for a beginner like me. Thank you.
Im so happy that recently, since Grand Assault has come out, Ive been regularly making gold in it! Except for that time it was Goz, the Assault of my nightmares. I have no clue how to beat him without a marking character, and the only marking character i know I have is Sakurako
Thank you for the help, just got back to this game. It's a good refresher session.
love to listen to you and highly appreciate the content as well :3 tried this game after discovering its daughter in mind eversoul.
Amazing Beginner's Guide, thank you so much!!
You're very welcome!! I'm so glad that this was so helpful!
i have no idea how did i manage to get to platinum rank in tactical challenge in just a month playing (with bad character combinations as well LMAO) but! excluding that, i really like how thorough your guide is! i'll definitely follow some advice in this guide. you've earned yourself a new sub :D
That's so kind of you, thank you!! And holy cow, congratulations on platinum!! Let's go, that is absolutely fantastic! 🙏🎉
Very clear explanations, thank you
This is super helpful and professional. Thank you!
Great vid!!! No wonder i was having such trouble with the first scrimmage after starting a month in 💀. Thx!
the best guide for blue archive. period. thanks
So glad I found this!
I'm brand new and kinda hitting roadblocks already lol
It definitely has some difficulty spikes as levels get more complicated, but I'm hoping that using the type matching chart and youtube walk-throughs will help you as much as they helped me when I was starting out!
Thanks for the amazing guide, really helpful!
@@pskeifk yeh they probably changed the algorithm a little now, making rankings relative to level when that wasnt the case before
Thanks for this video, I started playing a week ago so this info is really useful. I mainly play genshin but im really liking this game because is so chill to play on the side. Looking forward to more videos especially the lore one you mentioned in the comments!
That is so great to hear, I'm so glad this information is useful! I completely agree that this game is so chill to play and demands very little of your time (which is especially great as a Genshin player!)
The huge story patch should be dropping in less than a month, and then I can take some time to put together materials for that Lore video! 😊
Thank you for the video! I started to play this game a couple days ago and it helped me a lot!
started a few days ago and i thank u so much for this!!
This was very helpful! Thanks for the video
You're very welcome! I'm so glad that this was helpful for jumping into the game!
This is exactly what I need. Thank you!!
That makes me so glad to hear, I'm so happy this is helpful!!
Just wish I could level faster so I can keep doing the story q.q
Video was great ty excited to check others
Learned a lot of tips thank you so much.
That makes me so glad to hear! I'm looking forward to making more Blue Archive videos in the future, this was a blast to put together!
Thanks for making this vid, it was very helpful !
I'm so glad to hear that! It was a ton of fun to put together, I'm really excited to make more videos about Blue Archive on the channel!
Thank you for this video! Very, very informative.
Thank you for watching it! I'm so glad to hear that it's so informative, I couldn't believe that it ended up being 50 minutes, but it hits all the main sections I wanted to cover, and I'm hoping to make more content about the Lore and characters in the future!
@@yumietsuchinoko Looking forward to them 😊
