I have always loved their work. I particularly find enchanting your comments, and descriptions. My very favorite photos of the arc are the ones standing in the center, and staring up. I much prefer the wrapped look vs. the original gaudy carved images. I also love the simplicity of the fabric and the lack of color. Yes, grey is a color, but imagine if it were orange or slimy green or purple. How horrible. So glad that you were able to view this wonder first hand.
Thank you! You are right - the fabric is silver coated and doesn't have a colour of its own but reflects the sky and ambient colours. Orange, slimy green or purple - what have you been smoking girl?? :))
Най-интересното и смислено нещо, което видях и чух около това събитие! Винаги впечатленията и емоциите от първо лице са по-важни и истински от всички теории и анализи.
Welcome back! I've always loved Christo but I never knew why really. Thanks for articulating it. I also loved that you gave enough weight to Jeanne-Claude, no artist ever makes it on their own. There's always so many invisible hands at play, whether it is someone as close as a partner or more distant forms of support. Loved the video 😍
Thank you darling! In fact Jeanne-Claude was instrumental. Unlike Christo she was eloquent in both French and English and she led most of the discussions and negotiations while he was drawing and making the models etc. which they sold to finance their projects. She was also involved in the development of their ideas. They were really a tandem.
Here’s to the wild and seemingly impractical dreams, and the beautiful dreamers who have the audacity and fortitude to make them happen! Thoroughly enjoyed getting to see your firsthand perspective here-so wonderful to see you touch the shimmery wrapping fabric-another sensory quality of this piece that so elegantly uplifts vision while softening the ego. Amazing. Thank you for sharing this memorable tribute to the ones who dream!
Thank you for inviting us into the world of dreams! A very inspirational look at the art of a very inspirational artist ! Love the way you unwrapped it ❤️
So that I had the luck to be there, was happy to feel the joy, happiness and piety you speak about, can only say - let people have more useless and crazy dreams to follow. The video is great! ❤️
Thank you, Boryana! I watch all your videos with great pleasure! But this video excites me the most! You are absolutely right: the world needs more dreamers than conquerors!
I learn so much everytime I watch one of your videos or as I think of them masterclasses for free. Every time I open one I know its going to be interesting Like a little Gem.Thank you!!!!
You just made me like Christo. I didn't not like them or their projects, i actually had a hard time articulating why or how I could like them because I didn't want to hate this kind of modern art. It was too sublime to reductively disapprove of. But now, with your last words I can paraphrase now: "now the dreamers have conquered the conquerors."
Big THANK YOU for these words! My mission is to bring the joy of art to more people and you just told me that I have succeeded. If you haven't seen my previous video about Christo and Jeanne-Claude, I strongly recommend it. It comes in a separate edition for US and Canada if you happen to be there (for copyright reasons). Thank you once again for your openness!
Wonderful episode Borjana! Lucky you that you could see your first Christo's opera. I went close to see my first one, that was the Lake Iseo passages on water...but I missed it as had to postpone my trip :(
Interesting coincidence, I had also the feeling being in opera and not only as an audience but in different moments a singer, a dancer and even as little worker in the backstage.

Благодаря за този коментар, особено като имам предвид, че ти не си фен на Кристо!
A gentle representation of a radical approach to artistic expression. Well done 🌿

@@artunplugged Unfortunately I am not in Europe and not sure when come evert here 😞
Boryana at her best! Karl
Thank you both!
What do i think ? I think it's another version of conceptual art. However, Christo & Jean Claude were bold enough to say it's meaningless..😂
Did you watch the video at all?
