As a wise man once said: You find yourself in a maze of Mysts. Can you find your way out?
So, this was at one point a viewer request, however, I've done it before! There's a pseudo-symphonic metal version on my Newgrounds page. I made that cover shortly before refining my mixing to what it is now, so it doesn't sound the best, or as good as my recent covers have been. So, what better excuse to redo a cover than to update the sound and try a couple new things?! This was excessively fun, and really fun to mess around with. I didn't change the structure, but I changed the solo bit. I've been taking a lot of liberties with solos in general, and I just had a lot of fun with it!
I also did a couple little cheat codes for certain sections. I briefly considered changing my rhythm guitar halfway through the song, but I settled on using a pitch shifter before the amp in my Axe-FX patch, so I was able to get an ultra low F# without having to change guitar! I wonder how many of you were/are confused about how the low note changed pitch part way through the song... well there's your answer!
Also, dare I say: fuck you Dimrain for writing a solo that's difficult to translate to guitar! It's not like it was written for keyboard or anything, not even remotely, that's not at all why it feels unnatural to play... not even slightly... okay maybe a little. The first solo is note for note what was in the original piece, and dammit, it was hard to learn but is so fun to play! It's probably one of the hardest solos I've learned, with it having the longest continued sixteenth note runs I've ever performed, and I loved it so much!
Nevertheless, this song was so fun! I hope you enjoy it!

I never would have expected this, as someone who doesn't listen to that much rock I would've expected this to just be the same kind of loud noise the whole way through that gets old fast, but you did an incredible job with all of the transitions. You absolutely nailed when to go ham and when to cut back to almost nothing. You have a really great sense of music and dynamics, and I can FEEL the passion that you have for your instrument. Excellent job, keep grinding

Bro this was the best cover I've ever heard, and for me even better than the song itself, your guitar skills are on point, and the mixture of Dimrain plus Metal equals things like this, pure perfection; at 2:30 i couldn't hold myself from nodding my head while reacting as an highly skilled Geometry Dash player when beating an extreme demon. Magnificent work.

@@AlphaStormMusic it was slightly off sync as you said and I just hadn’t noticed, but thankfully someone on the gd song file hub website had made a version of it to be synced up properly when put in the game and its all lined up now! Ty for letting me know it was off sync it feels much better now!😸

@baptisteramiro1918 I care, and for a few others including your very own beloved Xtrullor, they do too. I happened to play Geometry Dash a lot (almost 2000 hours in fact), and the covers I do are based on the experiences I have, but I do not represent it. For Newgrounds covers, I celebrate the musicians, not the game. I do not represent any single part of Geometry Dash; the closest I get is the few times I’ve mentioned it, and the music I cover. That’s it. There _is_ and _always will be_ a significant difference between the term “Geometry Dash Music” and “Newgrounds Music”, and that’s something I’ve been screaming from the rooftops for five years.
I’m happy to accept that I do covers of music made popular by Geometry Dash; that’s part of what doing Newgrounds music means. But please don’t suggest I represent Geometry Dash, because I don’t. Look in the comments of my other Newgrounds covers, you’re sure to find some admittedly quite antagonistic responses from me. That doesn’t sound to me like someone who should represent the music a game uses. I’ll let you be the judge of that, but I’m not the poster child for Geometry Dash.

Thanks for the suggestion, however this one I can’t add to my list, unless you’re willing to wait five years for it. For a few reasons, but the main one being that I’m not THAT good at guitar. Dimrain music is a bit out of my wheelhouse in general unfortunately; Duality is inherently simpler, and Falling Mysts is a slower song, so that’s why I felt confident doing them.
You have to do At the speed of light! I think you would do an amazing job and the song has so much potential to be played on a guitar!
If I were Herman Li or Jason Richardson, or if you wait five years. I cannot physically play it yet.
