I would average the snake at a cool 110-120 feet. Estimates have been between 50-195 feet. This photo has been proven authentic and not altered. Considering how unexplored Africa's interior still is.... Believable....

The largest species of snake in the region of Congo is python sebae, a variety i've kept for many years. The look on the snake is 100% compatible with the species, the length-to-girth ratio seems accurate, even the look of the tail (which in this particular type of python slenders abruptly near the end and is quite pointy) is spot on! I have no doubt we have a python sebae down there: case closed on that aspect! The problem is that those snakes average maybe 15 to 16 feet in length, with rare adult females maybe pushing 20 feet. So, how could one grow 10x the espected maximum? There are cases of gigantism in all animals, humans included, mostly due to brain tumors, but we know of no such extreme case. This thing would have to eat elephants to survive, which sounds more like a foe of Godzilla in a movie than reality. But hey, i make no claims...
Why don't you guys send Nat Geo down there. This size of snakes still exists here. There are parts of congo River tht are untouched, unscathed unexplored with mythical creatures.
