Cool little bikes! I had a little pitster pro 170 i picked up for less than 1k a few years back. Coming from an exp rider (250 t2 esp.) Although there chinese theyre not bad for a little toy. Im sure 190cc engine is crazy on such a light frame
8:41 lol im in sw florida and half the trails I ride are just all sugar sand, sucks on a pitbike, you just gotta blast through it. its so nice to be on a trail that's not sand it feels like you have so much more control

If I didn’t have such a strong attachment to my grom I’d totally get rid of it for one of these and make it road legal. But not only do I have attachment issues but I plan to 450 swap it here soon. Currently have a 143 kit, cam, and standalone ecu. It’s been fun.
I’m pretty sure you can bolt on a piranha 190 4v 5 speed electric start on to it.
You can definitely throw a 190 in a Grom
@@Prozach45 yeah I’m sure you can. But the apes to the 190 on the pit bike is the suspension and weight being less. But for the grom if I swap it it’s got to be for a 250 two stroke or a 450 4t. Which I’ve been planning and plotting and here come spring I’ll hopefully be buying a crf450 engine or a complete older bike for the swap unless one of my project cars demands a lot of my money.

you should try a 150R not an F, they are fast just these bikes but they have a bigger frame and suspension setup. they’re a blast to ride

How is a 150 2 valve just as fast as a smaller, lighter 190cc 4 valve?

Not only are 150 R’s 4 valve, but they are a uni-cam engine, that revs up to 14,300 RPM… water cooled, Keihn FCR race carburetor with a throttle position sensor, dual throttle cables and accelerator pump, fully built race chassis, full pro-link suspension set up…
150R’s are the most bad ass “pit bike” ever made by an actual major manufacturer. and by the way, I speak from experience as I have both a pit bike with the 190 Daytona motor as well as the crf 150 R.
people in finland drive with 212cc daytonas on a HONDA MONKEY and that is like half of the size of that

This is my dream 2nd bike. I've got a 450 as a main bike but I want something small and cheap to practice on. Unfortunately the only road legal pitbikes I can find here in the UK are 125s and they cost twice as much as their offroad version.

Can you do a top speed run with sprockets to see if it'll do 90-100mph then? I'm still saying no way its hitting 100mph, 90mph is really pushing it, but if I'm wrong hey I'll hold my hands up, but i still highly doubt its hitting anywhere near 100mph...
My 140 broke after 900 miles😢, ain't ran properly since I fit new gaskets.

not really, it pulled through 4th pretty easy, so i wouldn't be surprised. definitely could hit 100 if he tucked
@@slimsqde7397 I'd be very surprised if it could do 80mph on flat, maybe down hill but no way is it going 100mph. My 525 has 50+ hp at the wheel and that only goes 115mph... Need a lot of hp to push through the wind at high speed
And how much does your 525 weigh?
@@alex.no. dry weight 113.8kg. but the weight doesn't make much difference to top speed weight advantage is more for acceleration, to get more top speed you need bhp. If I put my 525 engine in a pit bike frame the acceleration would be crazy but the top speed would be about the same if not less because the wheels would be smaller...
@@gixxer7907 lol not true at all my 140 redlined at 73 mph much less hp than a Daytona my 170 can probably do 80 I hit 66 in 3rd gear without even using full throttle
100mph not even geared to the max lol. 75 will be top after gearing up you won't have enough torque to pull you to the top speed
This bike has so much torque and power that I won’t be surprised if it can handle over 100 mph after being geared up.
I already geared it up a bit, stock went 55 mph now it goes 68 mph, didn’t notice any power loss

Lol. I had the bike new and it only went 55 mph. Was geared way to low though.
@@alex.no. no way is this doing 100 mph mate. I have a KTM 525 and that only does 115mph and it runs out of power to go faster and they're 50+hp at the back wheel... You won't have the hp to pull above 70-80mph through the wind

24hp i call bullshit and even if it comes close that motor wont even last a small percentage of a honda 150r that DOES actually make 24 ponies
U clearly know nothing, these bikes keep up side by side with the crf150r on a bad day and can keep up with yz125s on a good day I would research before u comment cuz they do infact make 24hp
