I honestly think this is a pretty good set. I really like how Lego is letting us decide how we want to build things. Overall I think it is a pretty good set! Nice review!
The maker set title is so good for this set. They really are going for customization as close to Mario Maker as possible. I really commend them for pushing the bounds as we already saw them. People had already made comments about how this doesn’t offer that level of editing power and Lego just decided that wouldn’t be true anymore. This set really is cool!
The thing is, this is a great set, with some cool characters. So if they added Mario many people would either have 2 Mario which is a waste, or they don’t buy it. I think if they add another character (especially if it’s Mario again) it will be a small set with maybe 1 returning enemy from a previous set that way it’s completely optional
I don't think any minifigs will be coming out, also there is a HUGE problems with a Lego luigi, because of the power up packs, they'd have to print L's on the power ups that have a M on them.
The reason they aren’t customizable is because if you look closely the blue blocks are actually question blocks with a gear around the middle because those are specifically made to be customizable.
This set would be amazing if you got a few more reprogramable bricks. Maybe 5 or 6 would be good for the price. Also these sets came out on December 26th in the UK.
When mario goes on the green blue or red tiles a thing pops up on his belly on a update. they should do when mario goes on grey tiles castle theme pops up
Now all we need is lego Luigi, Lego toad and Lego Peach which work the same way, just a different look and voice! Also imagine a lego mario party set! :D
I love this Mario theme. Hope They make physical figures of Mario characters one day. Maybe they could do a lego Bowsers castle. I'd adore a Bowser big fig and who wouldn't want to see some of the crazy villains in lego form and all the puzzles
It might be weird but I have a lmf idea: Make toad town with the toad houses and Mario’s house and include some biomes. You could even include the red coins.

There actually isint a green paratroopa. So there is no use calling a paratroopa a red paratroopa. But u can get a green one in Mario maker. But not in any main-games............
Once again they don’t include a flag or ending tile - this looks like a great all around expansion of pieces to elaborate onto a big level. I’ll be buying it … I think the value is there

This one should really come with mario or another cast member. They should release one with mario every year to keep it fresh

At 4:24 they updated it to give you 15 extra seconds if you scan another pipe if you're already in a level
They should have really made the yellow question mark blocks customisable!
