    Federico Maria Sardelli è un Artista completo in tutte le sue manifestazioni, figurative, letterarie o musicali che siano. Personalmente, fra queste ultime, ho un debole per quelle vocali sacre, ma è questione di gusti. Questo concerto per oboe è comunque meraviglioso e splendidamente eseguito dai Modo Antiquo e dal bravissimo oboe solista, Paolo Pollastri.Il Largo è di una bellezza struggente

    Another masterpiece by maestro Sardelli - that says it all. I only wonder why I haven't heard anything about him until now.
    There is one thing which he, as I can see so far, has in common with Vivaldi - both are unable to produce a bad music.
    The only thing which makes me a little uneasy is why the background pictures used in video are a strangely depressive. This is a little bit weird...

      *Nostalgic, and it's a personal perception of baroque era in general [which we'll never get a chance to live in], and everything in one form or another related to Vivaldi [especially his last years].Thank you for your note in the part of backround images.

    • @baroque_engineer
      @baroque_engineer 7 лет назад +1

      I see... Thanks for the explanation.
      About living in baroque era... I would not say that it's a bad thing that we're not living in REAL years which now are called "baroque era". In fact, what I've read about past of humanity (starting from ancient Rome) and what I see around myself today convinces me that people have not changed, so in this sense we lose nothing. :) People are generally the same, but technological advances have made our life much easier, safer and pleasurable. :)
      I'd say that the baroque that we love today has little to do with real historical context, because what excites us now was less than 1% of overall daily routine of that day. Other 99% were filled with hard work and plenty of unpleasant things, which I don't want to go into. :)
      So I declare that today baroque is not related to some historical bounds; it's just a state of mind, a way to look at the world, which is timeless. And people like Federico Sardelli prove this.
      Speaking of Vivaldi's last years - yes, this was sad. But in this sense I prefer to concentrate on the days when he has been working at Ospedale della Pietà, with plenty of young girls around him (sorry :).
      And overall, as Andrey Dementiev, a russian poet, said (sorry to english-speaking readers; he basically says that if you cannot remedy something that has already happened, it's best to leave it as it is without mourning and let it become history):
      Никогда ни о чём не жалейте вдогонку,
      Если то, что случилось, нельзя изменить.
      Как записку из прошлого, грусть свою скомкав,
      С этим прошлым порвите непрочную нить.
      Никогда не жалейте о том, что случилось.
      Иль о том, что случиться не может уже.
      Лишь бы озеро вашей души не мутилось
      Да надежды, как птицы, парили в душе.

      They have put Vivaldi on a pedestal, and then they have thrown him off and found new toy. This is dramma not only of a great composer and his heritage, - this is drama of mortal human. And it's so clearly heard in his late concertos.

    È innegabile che è una bella composizione in stile italiano settecentesco ed eseguita molto bene, insomma un bel falso ma apprezzabile per la capacita e per l'onestà di Sardelli che lo ammette che non è un originale. Io comunque sono più attratto da opere originali ma stimo molto Sardelli sia come esecutore sia come direttore e anche come compositore di opere non del suo tempo.

    • @experimentalis
      @experimentalis 5 лет назад +5

      Forgettable it is certainly not. I stumbled by chance upon Sardelli's music, till then i just knew him as an attractive baroque conductor, and i instantly got addicted. Knowledgeable friends who heard it were impressed too. Anyway, it is futile to respond to idiotic accusations, here i'll just make one point. The music is original, otherwise one would not get stuck to it, but then, is originality such a paramount virtue in music? What about delicacy, poise, humility, joy, enthusiasm, communicative honesty, craftmanship, faithful rendition of feeling, generosity, depth, pleasure giving? Povero Luigi, byednyi, your life must be arid if you just checked for precedents upon hearing this honest music, and worse, you felt the need to express publicly such banal thoughts, hoping to wound strangers. What an obedient offspring of our wretched age...
