I love this young man's game. I remember the first video I seen of him and his routine of dribbling/ball handling, Handle game crazy and im one day from being exactly 8 years older than him. Cant wait to see him at Kentucky (if he still plans on going, like he said he wanted to go). Most def will be following his career.
I've been watching this Kid since he was in the fifth grade and i continue to see improvement on his game. I just hope and pray that he grows to a nation recruiting size and height for the big schools to be interested. Because if he is to short it won't matter how good his ball handling skills are he will be over looked.
Just looked at a video claiming that a kid was the best 7th grader in the world, but THIS kid looks like total package to me. What you need as a point. He can shoot, draining 3's, he can dribble, he is super quick and will only get faster. If he is 5'8 now, he will definately get taller. If he was to atleast grow to 5'11 or 6 that would be good enough for next level.
Jambalink - Damon is 14yrs old and in 8th grade. His birthday is April 12, 1999. He plays varsity in high school and play 15u and 16u. Kids play up all the time. He will never play his aga group until his 11th grade year.
His shot/form looks great now, before it looked like he was forcing and throwing it up. I'm so used to his handles now that I'm really more impressed with his whipping passing ability! (1:00 Left hand from half court) I'm teaching my 5yo son who is also a prodigy to just get on the court and play and don't think about your moves which looks like Damon is doing now, not thinking just playing. It shows what you do with your time!!!
I went to school wit him at modesto Christian he is 15! Holdback but he is raw no doubt he had no reason to hold back he still wouldve been the best tbh.
It means they repeat a grade so they can become a better prospect because he is supposed to be in high school but he is playing against 7th graders so it is easier.. i heldback and now i am one of the best pgs in the state
Not everyone is the same age in the same grade. I was a high school senior and graduated at the age of 17 while some of my fellow seniors were 19, and a few were 20. I respect what he does and I enjoy watching his game, I was just saying that I think I saw his 6th grade video a couple years ago. I'm definitely not hating, because the boy is gonna go far, i just didn't know his age. He's 14 now, and was 11 in his 6th grade video. I wasn't hating, I was just trying to figure out how.
yeah damon is extremely good and has a good feel for the game. but he is a big time hold back.. i got held back and now i am one of the top pgs in the west coast so i am not gonna hate on him for that but i hope to see him in college or something
He's not fourteen it says in the description he is playing on a 15u team but is the class of 2018 which is 8th graders right now so he is a 15 year old 8th grader.
parents hold their kid back on purpose in junior high, then going into highschool they show out their skills more because of the competition they play, then once junior year comes if they get offers to schools they want to go to, they take extra classes so they can catch up and graduate with their normal class and then they head of to college
Anybody know how much points he's averaging. I know it's just a mixtape but it seems he has one highlight per game. Then again you would want mixtape just full of 3s
Not everyone is the same age in the 8th grade. I was 13 in the 8th grade. He's playing on a 15 and under team. So he does not have to be 15 to play on that team. In 2014, he will end his 8th grade year. In 2015, he will end his 9th grade year. In 2016, he will end his 10th grade year. In 2017, he will finish his 11th grade year. And in 2018, he will finish his 12th grade year and graduate.
hes just bigger but i think damon has a better overall game. but either way i wouldnt judge them until their junior year in highscool, cause im pretty sure romello is a holdback and theyre saying damon is too, so theyre playing lower competition
his dad held him back because he needed his skill to improve a lot!! he use to suck at am level of about three grades younger. His dad held him back for his own good. If he makes it to the NBA anyways his true identity will appeal because the young stars will still be or starting the prime of there career. But hands down this kid is better than any other 2018 graduate and most 2017 graduates.
Um he didn't get held back. He crossed county lines, then he left his state. When you cross state lines are you automatically held back. However from a game stand point this is all BS. Ryan Harrow is now 22 years old and still in college playing ball. None of this "held back" bs applies. People rarely if ever enter into the NBA at 18. the youngest NBA player currently is Archie Goodwin. He entered at the age of 18. Lebron James is another story and is still not the typical story.
Pinkinhead: Damon has never played 7th grade ever. Everything you see here is 15u and 16u. We dont travel to beat up on younger kids. That wont get us better. We have traveled all over the East Coast playing in the best tournaments. We duck or run from no kids. Damon just turned 14yrs old. He's been playing high school varsity for the past 2yrs. We work extremely hard to get where we are.
Been watching him since the 5th grade, its amazing to see him evolve year after year. So proud of this kid man
He is great. Hard work, dedication, and sacrificing social time gets you where you want to go. Keep it up baller!!

He's a monster especially to be his age. I don't see why dudes are hating on him.
His signature is thought the legs-behind the back-through the legs. Performs it flawless.
Now this kid knows the fundamentals.basketball ain't all about dunking, "shoe game", or jumping high.now this kid is a BASKETBALL PLAYER
i'm in his grade, he makes me look like a 1st grader, he is an inspiration for me

This video made me realize that he is Jamal Crawford. He moves the same, does the same moves, and has crazy range.
It means they repeat a grade so they can become a better prospect because he is supposed to be in high school but he is playing against 7th graders so it is easier.. i heldback and now i am one of the best pgs in the state
he got skills

He probably started school late that's all since his birthday is in August and the cut off date is in October
how about damon harge vs romello dunbar
parents hold their kid back on purpose in junior high, then going into highschool they show out their skills more because of the competition they play, then once junior year comes if they get offers to schools they want to go to, they take extra classes so they can catch up and graduate with their normal class and then they head of to college

I know 90% of all D1 players are holdbacks.. i held back and now i am one of the top pgs in the state
This guy is talented . Gonna be LeBron type player with even better shot %. Great team player as well.
Not everyone is the same age in the 8th grade. I was 13 in the 8th grade. He's playing on a 15 and under team. So he does not have to be 15 to play on that team. why would it matter? im 15 in the class of 2015...one year difference but three years in between classes? he's at least a two year hold back
Yea your right

Damon is 14yrs old born April 12, 1999. When you post something you should always know your facts and not guess or start rumours.
Damon harge vs romello dunbar???
hes just bigger but i think damon has a better overall game. but either way i wouldnt judge them until their junior year in highscool, cause im pretty sure romello is a holdback and theyre saying damon is too, so theyre playing lower competition

his dad held him back because he needed his skill to improve a lot!! he use to suck at am level of about three grades younger. His dad held him back for his own good. He should be class of 2017. I'm not even a year older than him & I'm class of 16.
