@@morewarpstone You guys didn´t even see half of the content of this game. You didn´t reach summer which is the hardest season for noobs. didn´t kill dragonfly or find the pirate island, lunar island, etc.

DST enjoyer with several hundred hours in game here. You guys did really well! It took the most dangerous area in the game to kill you! Even then, with a bit of preparation I think you would have been ok. Dst has a lot of risk = reward, the ruins (which is the area you died in) gives you suuuuuper good loot if you can manage it. If you want to progress through the game, it is practically mandatory to raid it. I would love to see another go at this, if for no other reason than to see your SUFFER through summer. heh heh. (subscribes to encourage you) If you ever decide to actually try and BEAT the game, I'll save you some trouble right now by telling you to just look it up. Its super convoluted and there is practically no way to figure it out by just playing the game. Its super cool though.
“some of you may die and that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make” great video! I found myself finishing the entire thing. As someone who has 2k hours in the game, this is definitely entertaining!!! Glad i found it randomly
"This game is about not starving, a surprisingly difficult task for even the most experienced players." Yeah... no. Experienced players pretty much never die to starvation, let alone have food issues at all. Experienced players or more likely to die by doing risky things like raid bosses. Kind of like what happened to you by the end. Fridges crammed with frog legs and other food, but dying to fun things like fighting bosses.
I was the Winona, I hate how I sound through a mic lmao I don’t think I even had my settings right at the time to get my voice through the right mic xD. Anyway this experiment was absolutely a blast to be a part of even through all the chaos. I am so proud of my wall of catapults and my red button of doom near the end and the wall I built there in the last attempt was my castle lmao. Looking forward to some crazy antics with the gang in the future!
Man this was a great video, had a lot of fun watching as someone who’s been playing for years. I’d love to see your group take on every boss at some point but I can imagine that probably won’t happen based on the tank in morale a lot of players had near the end. But for each try do do you’ll inevitably do better then the last
I have 700 hours in this game and this video reminded me how new people see dst. Yall were having waaaay more fun, than I do while playing. Being a noob, discovering Don't Starve is a truly amazing experience.
not starving is actually pretty easy for most even somewhat experienced players, its been a complaint for a long time now from some of the community that its too easy. hence the popularity of mods like uncompromising mode.
As someone with over a thousand hours in Don't Starve Together (but who is not at all an expert :P) this was pretty good! Half the people dying on Night ONE because of darkness? That's normal. Most people _don't_ know that darkness can kill you in this game, at first. Hounds? Again, most people are not ready for those the first time. And it was so satisfying to watch you start to figure things out! Especially the drying racks. I love drying racks, but SO many people who play this game don't see the value in them. Dude. They heal _all three things_! Set up in a field full of rabbits, make a BUNCH of drying racks, and you're good! I myself made it to the night of Day 37 on my first try...but that was in VANILLA Don't Starve, without the harder, more complicated "Reign of Giants" mechanics. (Which DST does have, by default.) Those of you who know Don't Starve's seasons may note that that means _I made it through WINTER_ on my first try!, since winter ends on the morning of Day 36. But do you know what finally took me out, after all, my first time? Darkness. Plain ol' darkness. (I was in a really thick forest and couldn't properly place my fire in time.) RIP me, You survived 36 days, here's your experience points and a character you unlocked. :P And technically I was cheating a bit, 'cos you know what I had? Basic KNOWLEDGE! I had already watched Let's Plays of JackSepticeye, Markiplier and Sips's first runs. (At first, just to find out what the game was LIKE, because I was curious from the title. But after I decided "I'm DEFINITELY playing this myself", what I got from the Let's Plays turned from sheer entertainment, to tips and tricks.) I DID know about darkness, hounds, don't go near red-butt beefalo, and the fact that cold can in fact kill you. Quickly. So, even somebody playing by themselves WITHOUT total chaos all over the place, with somewhat easier game mechanics, AND secret knowledge stolen from other players who went before her, can still only make it barely out of winter before she dies of darkness anyway. You guys are doing pretty good. :) But seriously, f Scott and his burning of uber-useful grass in WINTER. :P

You should 100% try to do one of these but where you try to beat the game, maybe alter the rules to be like 5 lives per person since it'd be a goal that requires fighting rather than just staying alive, and maybe allow the wiki too just since some of the bosses are near impossible to find without outside explanations. If you ever do something like that though I'd love to be a part of it if you end up looking for members to try it out with

very entertaining from a veterans perspective. fyi: you can grow crops in winter, some like winter more in fact, like potatoes. others just gain more stress. also klaus is indeed a raidboss that only spawns if you use one of the no-eyed deer antlers on his sack to try to open it. so someone clearly did that. the ancient guardian is something that experienced players rush in the first week of a new world solo, sooo yeah this game has a bit of a learning curve for sure. but its also very rewarding. :D
