    This is amazing! How do put polka dots inside the bubble for example? Like if I wanted to make a sphere with gold polka dots on the inside? I also want to know how to make it look like milk glass? Maybe another video? Thanks so much!

      Hi there, thanks for writing! Isomalt can be painted with edible paints on the outside, but if you are wanting a design on the inside it will be easier to encase an edible image or painting in a solid piece, not blown. Check out my video here! ruclips.net/video/v_77JllJL_8/видео.html

      Thank you for watching!! So excited you're starting on your isomalt and sugar art journey! We have a pair of gloves in our online shop I usually recommend, but you can use any cotton gloves that fit best first, and then layer a nitrile medical glove on top, they sell those online and in stores in different sizes. Good luck, I can't wait to see what you create! Please tag me in photos on social media if you use any of our products!

    Your videos are so helpful! I have a question. I will be making an Isomalt structure that will be on display for a couple of weeks. How long does the Isomalt last out in the open of a building? THanks.

      Hi Audrey! Thank you so much for watching, it really means a lot to me!! As long as you spray your pieces with clear edible glaze spray, your Simi Isomalt will be fine to stay out at room temperature (78 degrees f. or below)! If it is a display piece only and will never be eaten, you can also spray it with a clear acrylic shellac. I find as long as you spray your pieces right away, and depending on your humidity level, you have a few weeks to a few months before your pieces start to get cloudy! And it can be resprayed if it does! Thanks again!

    Could you achieve a similar results by poring the isomalt over a water balloon?

    • @sidneygalpern
      @sidneygalpern  4 года назад +1

      Hello! Yes you can absolutely pour isomalt over a filled water balloon, or dip it into the isomalt. Just make sure you use cold water and not to get any moisture on the isomalt! Chef Vanessa Greeley created super informative videos on this technique, you can watch all about them here: ruclips.net/video/Y3pkgGN1eAs/видео.html
      I use both techniques depending on what I'm doing, I love blown isomalt because it gives you more freedom to form the isomalt into the exact shape you want, but dipping it is a fast and easy way to get domes and bowls! Just depends on what you're trying to make with it!

    Hello Sidney and greetings from the UK. Love your videos and I have made a few of my own things too. Can you recommend a good flavouring for isomalt? Lots of amazon reviews of food flavourings say they taste chemicals in them. Thank you!

      @sidneygalpern  5 лет назад

      Hi Jenny! I recommend oil based flavorings for isomalt, the brand i use is Lorann. They are very potent so a little goes a long way! Thanks for watching!!

    Very informative but you’re not wearing gloves? I’m confused is that not that hot?

    • @sidneygalpern

      Thanks for watching! I always recommend wearing gloves when working with isomalt, I have just been doing this for over 15 years, so the heat does not effect my hands anymore.
