Aside from making storage easier, vacuum bags also make moving a breeze. It's how my husband and I moved all of our clothes/linens for our cross-country move a few years ago.
I grew up in the US in the suburbs and I always had a big enough closet to store my clothing in one spot year-round. I recently moved to Europe and your videos have been a life saver when organizing my wardrobe! I actually just sealed my heavy winter clothing into vacuum bags and oh my word did it feel good to put that in storage for a bit!
I'm also 30 (soon 31 tbh) and I JUST bought my first vacuum bags a few days ago. I just put all my winter coats away in the same storage area that used to swallow barely ONE jacket before. I have no idea what kind of life I've been living before this. Vacuum bags and label makers, who said your thirties won't be fun?!
Love this video! Just a suggestion - it would be handy to utilise the space above your laundry hamper with floating shelves or cabinets perhaps, for extra beauty storage. I’d love to see the office next :) xx
If you asked me (or my friend) to pack a bag for you to go on holiday, we could legit find everything you needed under 10 minutes we know your room that well. We would also know exactly which items of clothing you wanted to wear
I love the idea of having a box set aside for daily makeup bits! Currently all my makeup is chilling in one hanging travel bag and it's a nightmare to dig through it and find the products I'm looking for. I am also in love with the casual style of these videos! I love your humor and excitement about organization and I can't wait to see more! Love, love, love!
We just discovered and started using the vacuum bags because we are moving again soon. You explained our thoughts exactly! So fun to use and really cut down on the volume of the items.
I'm kind of worried that the vacuum bag wil squish your bags and they won't look the same when they come out... I've never tried it before with shoes and bags... If it goes well, it's a great tip!
I can totally see a drawer for emptying your daily “stuff” being mega useful. I shall now go misty eyed about leaving the house on a regular basis. Week 4 of lockdown here in NZ.
My wardrobe is floor to ceiling but has really minimal hanging space (quite similar to yours), so your capsule wardrobe videos CHANGED MY LIFE with switching out clothes for different seasons!
I first used vacuum bags in my early twenties and I use them all the time to store clothes when going on holiday, game changer! :) Love the video, keep them coming :)
Bigtime agree to unpacking your bag everyday! I started doing this as didn’t really have a good place to put my bag down, and imo it’s great! I just keep my bits n bobs in a drawer like you and grab what I need to put in my bag on the way out :)
Living in Los Angeles, we always double check our bags are packed. 😂 We never know when an earthquake will hit so before bed each night, I make sure my tote/hand bag is ready to grab and go by the front door; all I need is my phone from the bedroom.
You can put some wipes in your nightstand drawer, so you can get rid of the dust whenever you wake up/go to bed and notice there is some. Also, keep a tiny bin next to the nightstand, so you can throw the wipes away, and then throw them in the appropriate recycling bin in the morning!
Oh Yes an Anna video to brighten ny quarantine day 🙌🏻 and anything that includes organisation is my DREAM (it's my wardrobe declutter day today... I am so happy about it its unreal 😂) x
Already got the vacuum bags. But going to unload my four everyday bags because this is the best idea ever. After that getting myself the same outfit as yours, looks so nice :) thanks Anna!
Yep, lóve it! Vacuum bags: have them too. Also handy for travelling! Tip for your keys: lock the door and leave the keys in the lock on the inside (if possible). If not: make a hook next to the door. In case of a fire (hope not) or emercency, you can run out of the house. In case of a fire and smoke, go can easily get disorientated, which means you won't be able to find them. So if you have to flee, you can grab them. My neighbours were killed in a fire, because they couldn't find their keys. So that's a lesson I've learned. On that note: stay safe!! 😅😘
I was thinking the dresser would definitely have had socks/underwear/bras/etc and then it had desk/personal items and bedding! I do like the idea of unpacking your daily bag!! :)
Loved this Anna! I'm wondering if you could do a video or blog post on "home owner paperwork organisation"? - your little paperwork folder sparked the idea haha I'll be a condo owner as of July 1 and would love any tips on this subject )
Love this video! Great style and tips! Sounds geeky: where did you get your accordion file organiser from, Anna? Even your stationary is minimal and understated 😊
Thank goodness your extendable drawer link works for me because I need that! A lot of times because I’m in the US, Amazon links from folks in the UK just go to a “sorry” page 😩 but this didn’t! 😃
Could you possibly do a kitchen organisation video at all? Or have you already done one in the past? I'm needing inspiration for mine!! Thank you 😘 I hope you're finding lockdown okay! X
Ooh that extendable drawer organiser is amazing! I could definitely use one of those. The Marie Kondo tip really surprised me I thought it was gna be the way she folds clothes in drawers. I never really understood the unpacking your bag idea but maybe it’s something I need to try to fully appreciate it 💜💜
Great video..... i always use vacuum bag.... great 👍🏻way to save clothes untouched.... but I never put shoes and clothes together in the bag... I leave it in smaller one!!!♥️
besides coats and shoes every item of clothing i have fits in my ikea Elvarli storage so i have loads of deep draws and a single hanging rail for everyday clothes on view. i even have a draw inc for bedding . my bags are in a ottoman seat so i know where they are but hidden away. but it's due a good clear out as why do i need 20 t shirts and 15 prs of jeans by the same brand ? i need to read your book again to get tips x
If your rubber tree plant starts getting too big (no kidding it will fill the room eventually) they are easy to prune. Best done in June, be careful, the branches drip liquid rubber ;)
Aside from making storage easier, vacuum bags also make moving a breeze. It's how my husband and I moved all of our clothes/linens for our cross-country move a few years ago.
Actually cackled at Mark waving to the rubber plant thinking it was you.
so wholesome
Office next please :) Loving this series. It's making me want to reread your book!!
Love how excited Anna is throughout this video! Organizing is 👍

Loved the vacuum bag reveal. Very Gourmet Makes! "Hi I'm Anna and today I'm talking... storage solutions" 😂
"and now its time for my favorite part...sucking the air out of vacuum bags" 😂
I'm also 30 (soon 31 tbh) and I JUST bought my first vacuum bags a few days ago. I just put all my winter coats away in the same storage area that used to swallow barely ONE jacket before. I have no idea what kind of life I've been living before this.
Vacuum bags and label makers, who said your thirties won't be fun?!
I read and follow that tip . I swap my bags all the time. It has been life changing..... so simple but works x
More content please! Anything from you is bliss to watch ❤️🏡🌈

We just discovered and started using the vacuum bags because we are moving again soon. You explained our thoughts exactly! So fun to use and really cut down on the volume of the items.
Ahaha color me impressed: you dusted the top of your old wardrobe every week?! 😅 that is a yearly task for me 😬🤫
I'm kind of worried that the vacuum bag wil squish your bags and they won't look the same when they come out... I've never tried it before with shoes and bags... If it goes well, it's a great tip!
GOD IM OBSESSED WITH EVERYTHING HOME AT THE MOMENT 😍
Great video! Any tips for storing jewellery?
you two are so adorable

Yaaaasssss love this series!
My wardrobe is floor to ceiling but has really minimal hanging space (quite similar to yours), so your capsule wardrobe videos CHANGED MY LIFE with switching out clothes for different seasons!
I started having an everyday makeup edit about a year ago after you mentioned it in a video and honestly what a life changer!! Such a good tip!
I first used vacuum bags in my early twenties and I use them all the time to store clothes when going on holiday, game changer! :) Love the video, keep them coming :)

Hey Anna! Loved it as always 😍. I think you must do a knit collection video like you did a Denim Collection

I absolutely Love your bedroom! 😊❤️😊
My nightstand has been driving me nuts - love this organiser, it's the answer to my problems!
Loved this video, thanks Anna

Hey Anna! Where did you find your desk? Also, living room next!
Always love a middle part on you!!
Love these Videos!!! I cant wait to see the living room edit!!
I think an office organization tour would be very appropriate to do next, given so many people are temporarily working from home!
Oh Yes an Anna video to brighten ny quarantine day 🙌🏻 and anything that includes organisation is my DREAM (it's my wardrobe declutter day today... I am so happy about it its unreal 😂) x

Are you reading “all the light we cannot see??” Isn’t it so good?!
I was thinking the dresser would definitely have had socks/underwear/bras/etc and then it had desk/personal items and bedding! I do like the idea of unpacking your daily bag!! :)

Good morning!
I want to get some drawer organization inserts, eventually. ❤

That shirt is so nice!

8:46 I thought, why do you have a toilet paper roll on your night stand??? A second later I realize it's actually the base of your lamp lol
🤣🤣
I thought the same! I scrolled down to look for this comment.
Love the Rothko print.
What jeans are you wearing?! those are perfection
Thank goodness your extendable drawer link works for me because I need that! A lot of times because I’m in the US, Amazon links from folks in the UK just go to a “sorry” page 😩 but this didn’t! 😃
Love this! Bathroom next please. I've just moved into my new home and have no bathroom storage...need to see some inspiration!
Could you possibly do a kitchen organisation video at all? Or have you already done one in the past? I'm needing inspiration for mine!! Thank you 😘 I hope you're finding lockdown okay! X

From her point of view emptying your handbag every day is a way to give it a rest after it's worked hard all day to carry all the stuff you need.
Great video..... i always use vacuum bag.... great 👍🏻way to save clothes untouched.... but I never put shoes and clothes together in the bag... I leave it in smaller one!!!♥️
I use the vacuum bags and put them in empty suitcases :) Great video x
