was really hoping for more than just talk about DEI in OT. No one ever even mentioned that the E means equity which is just reverse racism. if racism is bad why is reverse racism ok?

I was excited about this talk because it seemed like everyone was coming in to have a real conversation in good faith.
Unfortunately, it appears Marcus wasn’t interested in a good faith dialogue.
When the one gentleman talked about his courthouse experience, saying he has seen change over the years..
Marcus got offended when he said “you don’t know what you’re talking about” because Marcus wasn’t listening and jumped to conclusions..
It appears Marcus was waiting for him to stop talking, so he could swing the conversation back to what he wanted to talk about😑
I would also get frustrated and want to leave after entering a conversation in good faith, then being immediately ignored.
If you want me to put myself in your shoes and listen to your experience through your eyes.. You have to do the same thing for me. otherwise, it’s not in good faith and I would leave as well.
If you want me to engage in what you’re saying, I need you to engage in what I’m saying too. otherwise it’s a one-way street and the conversation derails every time.
I also get the impression that Marcus lives in the past, as he derails the conversation whenever people talk about the present, and consistently gives examples of the past.
Most people can acknowledge the past, But if you cannot acknowledge the present, then we’re always stuck in the past, talking in circles, forever and ever..
I believe most people want to have the real conversation, and move on from the past.

I’ve lived in Houston for about a decade. I moved here from upstate NY and never felt so much warmth and being welcomed by everyone of different backgrounds.
I love Houston,
because most people judge you by your character and how you treat others.
There’s no other city I would want to live in.
I wish the television and internet media’s could host people who want to bring us together, instead of dividing us.

I'm not happy the way Greg let's Marcus so often monopolize the discussion with his repetitive and often inflexible monologues. Seems the panelists are too. Bill looked disengaged and ready to fall asleep. Just look at their body language. Please facilitate the discussion, Greg.
