The jurors did not condemn this man. He condemned himself by his actions.
And oh by the way - the jurors saw everything that no one else saw except LE, the prosecutors, the defense attorney, and the murderer.
So it wasn’t “slightly traumatic.” It was horrific.

The way the state of Idaho fashioned the calculation of the death sentence is supposed to take away that burden on the jury, of Chad being put to death.
They simply had to answer a list of questions. They answered those questions honestly. That's the end of their responsibility.
The jury didn't sentence Chad to death. Idaho law did.
And Idaho law sentenced Chad to death because of HIS actions and intentions.

Media needs to remember that the jury only decided if aggravating factors as explicitly defined were applicable, and were not mitigated.
The jury DID NOT sentence anyone. The judge applies that penalty based on the law. I know it’s still heavy with the jury but please make sure to hold media accountable for accuracy in reporting. These reporters did a better job than most.

Something can be traumatic or traumatizing without it causing PTSD.
They had warning, & their lives weren’t in jeopardy. Those are factors that cause PTSD. Otherwise every single police officer, paramedic, fireman experiences Complex PTSD every day they work.

      By choice.
They could also have chosen to be decent people.
If they said at jury selection:
"No, I could never lower myself to the same level of Chad Daybell and decide who is worthy of living, I plan to be a better person .. so no thank you."
And none of them would have to do that.
They ALL where there by choice, some for the fame of a high profile case (a few of those interviews, maybe a book and they will dry their tears just fine with dollar bills).
Some of them might jump gladly on this opportunity.. deciding who deserves to live and who is send to be executed without ever having to answer for it in court..
Has to be tempting for quite some people.
They are adults and were given a choice.
Their own utter disregard for human live, appetite for fame or lust for the power of sending a human to his death brought them here, not some "dark fate they couldn't control".

I have spoken to both spouses. Both changed over the years. The night Georgia carried out the orders of the Judge this juror had a lot of family and friends around them but still spent many hours talking to their Church Pastor. When it comes to this subject I really wish people would start thinking in terms of these jurors are just more victims of the now-convicted defendant!

One big take away from the trial is I wonder if his children who clearly lied on the stand will be charged with the crime. She is also a teacher and works in a school. As such she’s supposed to be the protector of children and look what her own father said. He’s an absolute monster and she got up there to defend him. Her voice was difficult to listen to she’s much like her dad. I didn’t listen to his son because their voices make them sound very ignorant. As a teacher you’re a mandated reporter, How can we trust her to protect the children under her care for so many hours a day during the school year. She sends her kids out to play and thinks nothing of living in a murder house.

I sat one a less-than-a-day trial for Statutory R. She was sixteen, he was twenty-something. He was dead to rights guilty. That was in the late 90s and it still bothers me when I think about it. I can’t imagine sitting for a M trial and the impact it brings. We can watch these trials all we want, but until the responsibility is put in one’s hands, one just doesn’t know.

I can't imagine sitting there every weekday processing what these people saw and heard and on top of that stay impartial, work it out and come to a fair conclusion.
I would be so proud if I were any one of them. Chad would not have stopped. He would continue with the people who still follow his beliefs and Im sure, find another "Ray Lamarr" in the bunch to continue his and Loris' blueprint.
If you read these comments....to all the jurors sitting there, I would have done the same,,,you all did a phenomenal job and you will find your peace when you realise how many potential lives...of children as well....could still be robbed.
I think about others who should still be sitting in prison because their sentence was too short and the many who have reoffended.
    You did the right thing.

I've got to admit, I was terrified wondering what type of people would be on the jury and if they would have the brain power to follow the evidence and turn that evidence into an entire picture of what happened. *Very proud of the jurors!* They've supplied JUSTICE to Tylee, JJ and Tammy!

I can not get past Lori having the hots for "the Holy Ghost." I think they've lost their soul or something. They don't qualify as insane. And even if one of them is crazy, crazy isn't contagious. (The lyrics of their song say "it started out with _____ ____" and someone else named "____ ______." It seems like there might be other cult members.

Thank you all for your service, we, who have watched and followed this harrowing case from the beginning and even those this story may be new to, are so grateful for you and although it must have been so heart wrenching and life altering, you did a great service to Tammy, Charles, and those beautiful children. Rest in peace JJ, Tylee, Tammy and Charles 🙏❤️🕊️

For now they seem to handle it pretty well.
Deciding that a human being is "to dark to be left alive".
Let's hope no one of them get's a taste for this kind of power over life and death..
If they do, I have the privilege of an entire ocean between me and those psychos.
But a lot of people are not that lucky..
I hope going down to Chad Daybell's "level" once and feeling themselves entitled to decide who deserves to live and who doesn't is enough for them.. otherwise you just exchanged ONE "bad guy" who thinks he is entitled to do that (who was safe behind bars already) for TWELVE new people who fancy the power to decide who is worthy of living and those twelve are walking free among decent people.
    Great trade!

Thank you to all of the jurors who sacrificed their time to sit through and have to be submitted to horror with this trial. The man did not CARE whether he lived just as he didn't care about those he labeled evil/dark and arranged for their deaths. Not only did he kill these three beautiful people, he attempted to kill Brandon Boudreaux and did kill Charles Vallow through his hitman accomplice, Lori Vallow's brother Alex. I truly believe Chad Daybell would have easily had other people killed if they crossed his beliefs and interfered with his life with Lori. Two people that needed to be out of society are now locked away. Let's hope they stay there and no sympathetic judge in the future lets them loose. Interesting how Chad's own family didn't come to the sentencing to at least say goodbye. They knew he did it.

I so feel for the 18 jurors. Those of us who have been following the case have gradually been exposed (and not to the most graphic) to the details/evidence over the 4+ years. These folks got a firehose stream and it seemed all over the place. The state did an excellent job of putting the timeline together for closing argument. Thanks to each and every juror for their service and sacrifice. Job well done.

I truly believe that chad and prior were going for “ineffective counsel” from the start. Prior has not defended a death penalty case before this. He owns chad’s house. I predict prior is going to “throw” himself on his sword. At least we know chad will have to go through the appeal process and that will take years.

I hope the jurors are able to get to the point of understanding that Chad Daybell did this to himself. HE brought the dp upon himself by his actions. He alone did this.
