- I made how much money my first month? This is a realistic video on how much I made my first 30 days as a Notary Signing Agent in Southern California. I broke down my process on how I made my money. You can go through notary signing services or escrow officers. This is how I've been using both.

I love how you give the amount within the first MINUTE of the video. Love your channel
lol I know that's what everyone wants. Thank you for watching, I appreciate it :)
Right
You just saved me so much time thank you 😂😂😂
Ahhh! Congrats girl! I’m just starting my Loan Signing journey as well and I love how transparent and real you are! 2,800+ is AMAZING for your first MONTH! 🤩 you’re so right about “planting seeds” good things take time and you’re doing great. Only up from here!
thank you 😇I think it's an approachable number for someone just starting out.. exactly girl, you get it 👏🏼that's the mentality!
Congrats on just starting out. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. :)
@@amandapluma thank you so much! I definitely will! 🥰
How much did you make your first month if you don’t mind me asking?
This is amazing! Still awaiting my California Notary test results but thanks for a realistic view of what’s to come! Almost $3K the first month is pretty good IMO
congrats on starting! of course :)
thank you, now that I have a wider perspective on this industry I think $3k is pretty good too :)
Hi. I’m in Cali as well. I took the test in August and didn’t get my commission until December. I just paid for my bond and am waiting to file with County Clerk’s office. Good luck 🌞
It's refreshing to hear realistic results. It helps put things in perspective.
I’m really loving your videos! You’re so thorough but you don’t ramble on. Just the right information that I’d like to know and the perfect amount of information and so helpful as I’m starting the process with loan signing. Thank you so much!
I have been thinking about doing this for the last few years since I moved out here to CA. Thank you for the information it really pushed me to sign up for the training.
Thank you so much! I've wanted to do this for a while now, can't wait to take the exam.
Love your decor color scheme. A touch of or sparks of red in any decor brightens up any place and gives a rich look.
thank you! :)
Congratulations on your first month of being an NSA! Love that you’re showing a realistic view of starting out as a signing agent.
Thank you Shanti! I want to be as transparent as possible about this business :)
You’re doing great Amanda! I’m prepping for my state exam, & I’m in Cali as well. Look forward to your future videos.
congrats on taking those fist steps :) thank you and good luck on your exam. You got this!
Being honest is still cool, much more of that is needed, than the hype!! Thank you for sharing, I look forward to watching more of your videos and congratulations.
thank you for watching
Hi Amanda thanks for posting this! I'm a mobile NSA in Los Angeles and just did my first signing last night :) So glad I found your channel 👍
no way!!! Congrats to you! Thats a huge step in starting this journey. I'm sure it felt like a relief to get that first one out of the way. Thank you for watching :)
So funny your video popped up on my suggestions list. I just told a friend 2 weeks ago that I was considering being a Notary agent
So happy to see videos from someone in the LA area. Thanks for that! Just passed my notary exam and would love it if you could address how it is working in LA. (traffic, competition, how many signings you can take per day, are you planning to make a full-time career out of it, etc.). Also, would love a video on how you went about marketing yourself to escrow officers. Thanks again.
I'm glad you found me! :)
Congrats on passing 🎉👏🏼
I can definitely do a video on all that stuff.
Thank you Amanda for your transparency. There are a lot of videos out here with claims of making 10k a month but they don't tell you that it's during the marathon of it all and not the sprint. I'm just getting started and your video put things in great perspective for me and $2,890 for your first month of being a notary is a big accomplishment and beats tge standard 9-5 pay for sure. ... I'm excited!
"during the marathon of it all and not the sprint" well said!! I didn't want to sell this false dream. Some ppl don't see the hard work and the reality of it.
Right? The income only grows once you put some elbow grease in it. I'm so excited for you!!
I’m commenting/liking/saving/ this video and subscribing solely on the basis that you answered the question that we all came for in less than 1:30 minutes. Thank you for that. I’ll now continue watching but I had to hurry up and say that.
Thanks so much for this video! I really appreciated that it’s recent! I just got my notary and I’m starting my signing agent course! I’m excited to know that it can pay for itself in a month!
Hi Justin, this industry is self sufficient. You would have to reach out to escrow officers out here, or sign up for signing services. I don't provide work as a notary if that's what you're asking.
Thank you for this candid video. I'm on my way to becoming one as well here in SoCal.
Glad I found your channel ! I’m in California too about to get started on this journey !
Congrats on your first month. I’m in the beginning process super excited to get this business going.
thank you 😇 congrats on just starting! Let me know if you have any questions.
Woo-Hoo!! Congrats lady! Welcome to the business!
Thank you Keenly :) How long have you been in the business?
Love it! Can you do a video on how u were able to get direct signings and how u prep for appointments?
yes of course! what a great vid idea :)
You go girl!!! Killin it! Looking forward to more videos and happy Thanksgiving
love the support girl
Super random but I love the couch and throw pillow( I love vibrant colors). I am a new notary about to start loan signing training. Congrats to your success. Thanks for sharing it’s super motivating.
Nice job and you’re very down to earth looking forward too more videos.
wow I'm so glad my energy translates through video😊 thank you!
Just subscribed. I am looking to get my notary certification next month. I have to change my career due to pandemic and this looks interesting and I have experience with real estate terms. Plus I am detailed orientated and meticulous. Wishing California would offer RON so I could work from home. Traffic in Socal is crazy. I would rather not drive around all day , but I will. Love your channel thanks for all the info !
Congratulations!!! I'm currently a agent in Virginia. I'm trying to see how to get set up escrow officers now
Thanks for being honest!💖🌺 New supporter here!
Fantastic fir your first time! I love that 🎉
Thanks for the video just got my notary commission 🙏🏽
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 that’s all I need when I retire
Awesome, thank you for shearing your experience.
Thank you for watching! :)
Congrats to you! I am very very new at this but found this helpful. I’m in Ohio and would love to network with other NP working in Ohio.
thank you :) I'm glad you found this helpful. Check for Notary groups on facebook! You can make a great community on there
Congrats and well done. I would recommend you signing up with companies like Field Choice or CxChoice, or signing services companies, take their trainings and boom....if you become specialized in certain signings, like reverse mortgages, you can improve pay. Good luck and si hope this helps. Outreach is a software ( there are others)you can use to developing a marketing approach to your signing, were you can send a marketing with a specific message to escrow, title companies etc...very best to you.
I'm with Field Choice, but they low ball me so much. It's hard for me to actually get a signing with them at a reasonable price.
This is amazing information. I'll definitely look into that!
@@amandapluma Yes most of them will reduce pay, that said, try to develop good relationships with schedulers, often times they will send you multiple signings to do in a day. If you complete their trainings, that is also a great thing as their databases look for the excellent rated notaries first.
I think you will be able 2 negotiate up on your fees and more importantly, get more signings. Finally, signing agencies differ, some are more software tech driven, like Field Choice and others are more people oriented say, Closing Exchange...so all these signing agencies have pros, strengths, draw backs and so on...all the good and successful notaries I had the pleasure of working with have in common, great attention to detail, they answer phone/email and are personable, flexible, diligent...so, keep going, very best to ya!
Great video. In Florida and thinking of doing this on the side.
its a great side hustle!
You're are pretty awesome to support us !
Excellent info! ❤️ thanks for sharing! I’m hoping to go full time next week! 😬😬😬 I think nearly $3k in your first month is outstanding!
thank you, Danielle :) My first month wasn't even full time. I have so much more effort to put in.
You got this girl! If you set your focus on getting signings and outreaching you'll definitely hit your goal. 🧡
Great video, thanks!
Just starting thanks for sharing
Im in Northern CA Ive been looking into it!
Thank you for this!
Love this!!
❤️
Yesssss congratulations!!!
thank you 😇
Congratulations on your journey
Thanks 😇❤️
Great video, I look forward to more. I just took the exam and waiting for the results! 😬 When you are doing the signings do the clients ask you questions about the documents? That’s the part that intimidates me from pursuing a career in this business😏
thank you for watching, I appreciate it 😇
don't sweat it, I'm sure you passed :)
Yes, but we have to be impartial which makes our job easier. All you do is read the document and regurgitate exactly what it says. You can't help them bc that would be offering legal advice at that point.
If you haven't already you can take a course to learn all of the documents. Once you have a good understanding of them you'll feel confident to start signing.
I promise you you'll get the hang of the documents if you study them. It's not hard if you put your mind to it :)
I'm more than a month in and now I feel like I can explain every document.
CONGRATS!!!
Thank you 🥰
Thanks for the great info and breakdown. I will subscribe to your page.
Glad I found you. 💜
aww that's so sweet, thank you
@@amandapluma just your raw real truth. Keep it real notging fantasy. I just like yr vibe.
That's wonderful. Almost 3k ur first something is good! Keep going 💪 :) can u include what spreadsheet ur using to track ur data? Thx for sharing 💕:)
Great video! Thank you
Congratulations as a signing agent!!!
I'm working on my business as a Signing agent myself and I'm excited and nervous of course!! 😁
But great info
thank you!! how long have you been singing? if your nervous that means your stepping out of your comfort zone. congrats :)
So informative! 👏🏽
Glad it was helpful!
Congrats!
thank you! I appreciate it :)
I'd like to see a video of what the breakdown is with hours spent ,prep time(printing reviewing the docs) commute to a signing and total signing time minus gas expense. That better breaks down what people are averaging per hour. Of course it going to vary for each job but might give a clearer picture of what someone new can average on a job. ie, a $100 signing averaged out to a $20-25 an hour job or something along those lines.
this is a great idea. I'll look into doing something like this :)
I agree. There are lots of videos with how much the received, but it is equally important to understand costs. I am thinking that the average for most of the signing jobs, after expenses, is $30/hour (after gas, spending time prepping documents, driving time etc).
I love this, I would love to know what you are telling the title companies, I've reached out and I have heard crickets
I'll definitely make a video on that soon! :)
That’s awesome! I loved your video...so genuine. About how many signings did you complete during month 1 and 2?
44 in that time frame
Awesome! Congratulations! Unless I missed it, how many signings did you do during that time to reach that amount in revenue?
Thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Awesome! I'm looking into doing this in Ohio because I've been doing factory work for 25+ years and it's just too unstable. Change is defininately needed. Smh
do it! You're working hard labor to fulfill someone else's dream. You deserve better
I'm in Ohio as well and just getting started. Much luck to you John💚
@@cherellefreeman3254 Hello Cherelle...I am getting started in Ohio as well. How many tests did you have to take to get your commission in Ohio and do you take the test online or do I have to go to a physical location during COVID? Please email me this info...lifehealth2015@gmail.com I would really appreciate it
Love this! Currently starting the process of getting commissioned! What course did you take? Any that you would recommend? Also could you make a video on if you can start over, what would you do differently.
Hi Calvin, congrats on taking the first step! I took the Loan Signing Service course with Mark Wills. It definitely was the right tools. I know there is also a course from Notary2Pro. I've heard good things about that one as well. There's also a course from the NNA. That one isn't as personal but you learn the basics.
That's a good idea! Let me write up some notes and prepare for that one :)
Just found out I passed. I’m a realtor and y office said they are going to make me the preferred notary for the office. I hope that brings in some extra income.
Thank you for the nice video. Just a few questions to help me understand. Is that before or after expenses and tax? How much time was involved to get the amount? What was amount per hour? Did you work on weekends?
Besides EZ notary do you have any other suggestions for courses that you benefited from and made you feel more confident doing your job?
Thank you for the video! What course did use to get your notary licence?
i have that same hoodie.
lol it's so cozy. I stole it from my boyfriend.
I’m going through the course right now and I’m super intimidated because since COVID unemployment I have had no interaction with people 😭. Watching your videos is inspiring to see it starts somewhere, can I ask if you have had any safety issues? I’m in the Facebook group and have seen some concerning situations.
You'll get used to it. Sometimes you just have to jump in the deep end.
I haven't had super concerning ones. I posted a story time on one of them.
🙋♀️ Amanda! CONGRATULATIONS on a great 1st month, and an amazing 2nd month👏👏
I'm wondering a couple things maybe you can answer. How many signings did you do in your 1st month? And your 2nd month? Also, is the 2800+ and the 4.3K the total amount of income, or are those figures the net income (income-expenses)?
my video of how much I made in Nov breaks down net profit :)you also see how many signings I did then
That’s amazing! I appreciate you sharing. About how many signings would you say you did to make that amount?
I think it was about 20-30
Hey Amanda! Thank you so much for your honesty! Would you mind telling us where you went to get the training to become notary? And how difficult was the test, along with any tips that you can share on how to pass?
being transparent and open with my viewers is the most important thing to me :)
I went through training with the NNA. I recommend going to your Secretary of State's website. It'll list certified classes that your state approves of. The test is not difficult at all. Of course, the information differs from state to state. I'm not sure what your state requires or teaches but my best advice is too find free information on notarial laws in your state.
@@amandapluma Thank you so much! Lastly, do the companies you work with ask where you received your training? Or do they only want to know are you certified by the state? (Passing the test)
@@lakishamumford2329 nope. That's all they want to know, as well as your background check, and e&o insurance.
@@amandapluma you're the best! Thank you again for taking the time to answer my questions!
@@lakishamumford2329 that's what I'm here for :)
Thank you so much for sharing this. It was very helpful.
When you contacted escrow companies, what did you say via email or phone to create that relationship with them?
I'm glad I can be of service!
My last video explains my process. Go ahead and check that out :)
just starting our and it is 2022 obviously. Do you have an updated video?
Fire
thank you 🔥🔥
When your receiving payments fir your service, do they take out taxes or are you required to hand your own taxes?
Great content! This is off topic, but Do you have a link for that hoodie?
thank you :)
No sorry, I stole it from my bf. I think it's from uniqlo.
What are some signing agencies that you recommend?
How do you get paid? Do they write you a check? And do you set a percentage aside to pay taxes?
I'm actually in Cali too. I Would love to connect.
New subbie💚💜
thank you!!
This was very helpful. I just became a notary and i’m located in Los Angeles . Would love to shadow you if possible so I could learn how to do a loan signing.
Sorry if that’s weird lol
congrats on becoming a notary!! Unfortunately due to privacy issues, we're not allowed to do so. This is a big no-no in the industry. I would if I could. I was actually asking for the same thing when I was starting out. Once I started I understood why we can't. I recommend watching mock signings here on YT :) that definitely helped me and gave me the courage to do my first signing.
@@amandapluma i had no idea! Thank you.
Best of luck to you in your business🤍
Have you thought about trying to clients from banks and bankers? I'm thinking of charging of $200-$350 per Signing
How many hours per week did you need to work in order to get to that 3k?
Hello just found your RUclips channel I have a question how do I get licensed in California what site did you use it’s so much information overload thanks in advance
hi I just posted a Q & A. all your questions are answered there :)
Very nice! I’m in Arizona and in the process of becoming an NSA. I have a question - how do you market yourself to escrow companies without inadvertently “poaching” business from signing companies?
Congrats on taking those first steps! This is a great question.
I wouldn't think of it like that. At the end of the day, this is an industry with a huge market. As a business person, you're going to get a slice of that market some way or another. There's no reason for that mindset unless you have an allegiance to a certain signing company. On the same note, it seems like most escrow officers would rather have a direct mobile notary because you're in direct contact with them. With a signing service, escrow officers feel less trust with a random notary (at least from what they've told me)
@@amandapluma thanks for your response. I’m also a licensed property and casualty insurance agent, so I can offer a unique set of services 🙂
Hello would you be able to lead me in the direction I would need to go in order to get notary license in the state of California thank you
Which course did you take to become a notary signing agent?? And how much does the course cost?
Great month! Just curious was that before or after taxes and expenses?
Before :)
good job. I am preparing for the loan signing exam. i also want to make 3000 a month doing loan signing.
you got this!!
Where you get that hoodie?
Can you give an estimate number of hours your worked total to get that amount? I’m also curious how many offers you get a day. I’m so excited to start my own mobile notary business but I’m concerned about the amount of work available since there’s no way to really know until I start.
I want to know all this too!
Great video!Do the signing agencies take out taxes or is this something you manage?
that's something that I manage. once I start making more I'll create an LLC and get taxed as an s corp so I'm not paying too much in taxes.
@@amandapluma thank you
Are there ever legal disputes that require you to go to court as the notary? About how many hours & how much you make per hour on average?
I'm confused about the seal vs the stamp. Are they the same thing? Which do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
I believe they are different. Each state has a different requirement. Seals are more of a thing of the past. Almost everyone I know uses a stamp.
Congratulations on your first month! Did u take any training? If so, which one if u don’t mind me asking 😁
thank you :) yeah, I took the Loan Signing System. There are also other courses such as through the NNA and Notary2Pro. See which one works with your style of learning
No training required in GA not CA
Great video.
Are you a NSA or LSA?
& are you going to peoples home or online?
I don't think there's a difference between NSA and LSA.
In California we go to people's home. I believe other states are doing online.
Hello I'm ready to become a notary sign agent I'm looking for a mentor and then your page pop up.. I'm in the city of LosAngeles trying to make a living in this🥰
Hi, I'm currently not mentoring right now because I'm in the beginning stages of building my business. If you have specific questions I would join a notary signing agent group on Facebook. They're so helpful! I try my best to answer as much as I can here on YT. I'm sorry, I would mentor if I had the time. I hope my videos are helpful as well. :)
Hi Amanda, one quick question, are you getting paid once a week or once a month? Will you receive 1099-misc or W-2? Thank you!
lol it's complicated it's all of that. I explain it in my last video. I believe 1099. I signed a W9.
I'm in Las Vegas do you do mostly direct work with title companies and how do you get there business?
escrow officers! I made a video on that :)
Paper and gas? After expenses?
Do you have to take a exam to be able to do this or do you just have to be a "regular" notary? (I live in Georgia)
The only requirement in CA is that you need to be a commissioned notary. This might also be true in GA.
Hey Amanda!! Thanks for being sooooo cool. I wanted to know. whats the difference between a Notary Public and a Notary Signing Agent? My dad says that when you get tested in CA you're testing for Notary Public, and this somehow allows you to also be a Notary Signing Agent? Not sure if this is correct. Also, where do I go to get started such as training and testing? Sorry this is the first vid I watched of yours so I will now refer to your first video to see if any of these questions are answered! Thank you again for your info and congrats on everything so far!!
your dad is correct.
my last video of startup costs breaks down the process.
