I always wondered what their story was how they went from dancers to artists. WHOEVER is making these? PLEASE keep making em! There are millions of us who grew up on Soul Train & are still interested in any and everything Soul Train related.
I'm one of them I love this show until the 2000's it got weak but interesting stories I like all the dancers even down to crazy Louie but My all-time favorite was Yvette Moss terry .I can say I too dance on a dance show but it was local the Dance Connection hey can someone do story on the Dance connection that would be interesting
No that time has come and gone you can never duplicate a classic only make it bad, the music that they play today is pure garbage and the dances is even worse. So just enjoy looking at the older videos of Soul train."
Love the Good Girls ❤️❤️ Nice to get their background and see them get their start on Soul Train. Your Sweetness and I Wanna Make You Mine with MC Trouble (RIP) are in constant rotation in my roller skate playlist. Wish they would’ve included Shireen in the interviews.
Look at my cousin Tracy! This takes me back to when Bell, Biv, Devoe came here to Florida when my great aunt died. She was Tracy's grandmother. Ppl freaked out seeing them, even tho we were at a funeral.
Love me some Joyce and DeMonica. I always saw them as the crew that helped breathe some life into Soul Train in the 80s. They were young, had the energy and were sometimes doing New Edition’s routines! So dope. I remember finding out that they were alumni in Right On! Magazine. Made me love them that much more!
Two other homegirls girls from L.A. Westchester high were dancers for Bell Biv Devoe dancers Debra Molton, Marcella Lewis!!! We had the coldest dancers!!! I was apart of that “Trendy scene” my highschool Westchester!!!
I didn't think you guys could top the last 2 "I was a Soul Train Dancer " videos, but this was excellent! I just love these videos. Keep them coming! 👏🏽👏🏽
Oh, these were the days, the best of our generation, brings back so many good memories, thank you so much for sharing, as I'm smiling and remembering so many wonderful times as I watch your story thanks again for the memories, peace, love, and soul.
Yes. The Good Girls. They were all beautiful. Original SWV/Destiny's Child etc. Shame Motown did those girls so dirty. "It Must Be Love", favorite record from them.
The Good Girls were my Favorite✨✨✨ They were like me; not trying to be fast but embraced my femininity. So happy this platform existed for so many creative Black and Brown youth!
I Love DeMonica Santiago & Joyce Tolbert Because They're Cool Awesome People & They're Also Outgoing Excellent Human Beings. Back Then, They Were Great Soul Train Dancers. What Excellent Moves & Grooves They Still Have. God Bless.
I friggin love this...S/O to JT & Demonica...My girls for years!!......The Good Girls don't get the props they should..They set the tone for alot of female groups who came after them...
goodness, I was so obsessed with them.. me and my 2 cousins would perform their songs! and I ended up going to an all-girls catholic high school and was **so happy** I'd get to wear uniforms like theirs 😏😆 this was everything!!! glad they are still looking great and thriving!!!💖
Whoever runs this channel, please put a thumbnail with The Good Girls picture. This video should have a million views already. They are mentioned in many other Soul Train dancers segments and became successful pioneers of women New Jack Swing & R&B Groups.
I remember watching their videos on BET, Donnie Simpsons' Video Soul back in the day. They're were all beautiful but Demonica was the stand out for me. She was gorgeous and still is. I think she did some modeling for the old Ebony Men's magazine. Thanks for posting!!!
This was another amanzing video. Dance crews and cliques were everything in LA. Loved catching up with Joyce and Demonica. I wore that Good Girls album out!
I would have never thought Demonica sounded like that. So grown and sexy. I thought she was the shy one. Love to hear that she was the architect behind the group. I always loved Joyce’s voice.
So glad they did a segment with them, I still have them on CD, cassette and record, they will always be one of my all-time favorite girl groups 🤎🤎🤎 I would kill for one of those sweatshirts they used to wear 💗

I didn't read the entire title of the video before watching it. then i saw them and thought they look familiar. then it got to the Good Girls part and I flipped. I've been wondering where they are nowadays. This is awesome.
This is my favorite success story of dancers to stars from Soul Train. Mainly because it was all home-grown, they were from the LA area, they danced on Soul Train, and then became actual performers on the stage. Such a great example of using the resources around you for your benefit.
Outstanding video post, I love this video. I love the background and insights offered about the show. Videos like this definitely made watching Soul Train on Saturday afternoons great.
