The game slightly simplifies the controls but it does give an impression of how physical driving a train was. I do like the simplicity though.
Irl today I sat on a train which couldn't leave the platform because it's CCTV for the doors had failed. The driver said he had to get control over the radio to reset the train remotely before it would work again. Took a good 15mins to reset everything and get going.
In the old days there would be a guard to check the doors or large mirrors that the driver could look at pointing down the platform so he could see the doors. It's great having the technology but when it fails it would be nice to have a fallback to use.

The smoke shadows are a bit of a disaster he needs to turn that off until he knows how to deal with it.

I think this might be a Linux issue. I'm currently recording on Linux as I want to evaluate the experience for a possibly future video. I think this is a bug that Steams Proton has with Unity. I've also had crashes on this and Railroader that both are Unity games. I've seen the shadow issue in various routes on the game. Hopefully I'll find a work around for the issues but if not I'm dual booting so can always record in windows if and when needed
