@I put the 'hot' in psychotic "They should leave Ian as the only vocalist in the band".... They had to replace him and form a new band with a new name because he is a raging nonce and in jail now. So not sure how your suggestion is meant to work 🤣 Also, Ian's performance here was poor so I kinda agree with Shayla. Jamie at least put some actual effort into it whereas Ian's vocals lacked any commitment or passion and were all over the place melody and tonal wise.
@I put the 'hot' in psychotic I was just pointing out he can no longer be kept as the only singer due to the situation, as you had worded it like it was something that could be done in present tense. It was somewhat tongue in cheek, not really anything manipulative about it though. Obviously being a bad singer didn't make him a drugged up nonce, but being a drugged up nonce definitely made him a pretty poor singer at the latter end of his career. To me, this performance is a perfect example of just how lacking his abilities or even just his interest went on to be. Jamie put more into this performance, its simple as that for me. Overall, he obviously wasn't a strong enough singer to actually front the band, but neither I nor the OP was saying anything about that. We were just stating based on this performance. Lastly, No Devotion is just the Lostprophets members with another singer, so technically speaking they did replace Ian. Couldn't stay as Lostprophets as the name had been dragged through the mud, and they couldn't use the songs either obviously, but it is essentially the same band. Different musically too I guess, but then as Lostprophets they were constantly evolving and experimenting with their sound.
@I put the 'hot' in psychotic I'm sure I read Ian had gone to rehab at one point in 2012 and was off drugs for a bit, so maybe he was clean at that point or at least been off them for a while before and gotten his voice back a bit. I saw Lostprophets twice in 2012, which was actually my first and last time seeing them live. In April, Watkins wasn't very energetic or talkative on stage. It was claimed he had broken ribs, but I'm guessing it was down to the substance abuse. November was a much better show, but sadly a memory tainted by what was revealed just one month later. I can't really recall how his vocals sounded at the gigs though, was too busy singing along lol. I know watching from the footage from Radio 1's Big Weekend @ Hackney in 2012, he sounded pretty bad and looked a bit of a mess too.
This is all sad. The music they were doin was great. I miss it. It's sad Ian did never find help. Maybe the drugs destroyed him completely. But u never now why he made this. Maybe - and that is very possible - he was also a victim in his childhood. And then as an adult person he had to stand his man, being the front man, the number one of this band. All this pressure maybe he could only stand with drugs. But drugs destroy you, they change you .... don't know. When this started he started to abuse children? Someone knows?

@@hudsonthereal I'm not judging you at all. I'm judging Ian Watkins. I'm not sure you realise how depraved this guy is. You really have no idea. You say there is an explanation for everything. So if you see a man raping a baby and then killing it you would think it's wrong to judge the person commiting the act cos it's negative and there is a real good explanation. The best band ! 💕
Amazing song and version. Nothing more to say.

A lot of people do drugs, they don't rape, torture and murder babies like Ian. Don't make excuses for this evil filth.

He is completely out of tone
+old account no man. I was clear. I didn't say that their music was not good. I said that he hasn't a good voice.
+fabio santachiara Oh right, sorry :/ guess it's just personal preference, not a bad songwriter though
+old account yes good songs but very poor vocal technique. just my opinion.
Have to disagree mate, at times it seems he doesn't try, other times he and the guys sound brilliant.
The Burn Burn cover he dos a few years before this is amazing, but this is fucking awful tbh
