How to Process and Install a FASERFIX Drainage Channel

In this video we will show you how to process the FASERFIX drainage channel precisely in order to install the channel drain.

Mark your planned cut with an angle template on the drainage channel. You can then saw your channel to size with a circular saw. The cutting angle and position of your drainage channel system can be flexibly selected and freely adapted to your project.

An installation aid is used to help with the handling and installation of the FASERFIX drainage channel.
04:43 Sealing the joints
The filling of the joints has to ensure that the joint sealer can absorb any potential movements (i.e. bonding on both flanks of the joint). Once the joint has been filled with a sealer, use a smoothing compound to level the surface of the joint.
05:57 Attaching the end cap
Clean the end cap surfaces and apply the permanently elastic sealing compound with a cross section of 6 x 15 mm around the periphery. Then compress the joint to a minimum thickness of 2 mm and hold in that position for 24 hours. Any sealing compound squeezing out at the
edges should be smoothed off.

Masking the channel drain prevents coarse dirt from getting into it. In addition, this prevents the covers from slipping and offsetting when the channel is installed.
