Man i don't know why, maybe is the nostalgia, but this game is too classic... GTA 3 has an unique cartoon like atmosphere, where you always need to watch your back... I'm still playing it today, it's a masterpiece considering it came out in 2001.

The most expensive thing in game is 25 thou for a rocketlauncher at army base, there's absolutely no need for money in game after you pass a certain point

Because you can't change clothes in GTA III because there's no wardrobe or clothing stores that can be accessed but you can change skins through the player setup of skins that you downloaded from GTAInside.
GTA 3 and GTA vice City has the same mechanics of the main character(Running , jumping , Turning left or right , etc)

It's because there were certain limitations to making GTA back then
I was more concerned about how Staunton Island had a construction site in the middle of what's their interpretation of Manhattan. Was it Rockstar's version of the predicting what would happen to the World Trade Center after 1993 and a sick coincidence for 2001?
@@rlouie05 The construction site in GTA 3 is actually North of Beleville Park and South of Bush Stadium which resemble Central Park and Yankee Stadium. So the construction site in real life would place in Upper Manhattan/ Southern Bronx.

I prefer vanilla without mods and still play this game to this day! Everything that is allegedly hated about GTA3 just makes it great and unique.

Not everything, I mean sure, this is the 3d era GTA which has no world map, but it ain't such a good thing, especially for players with bad memorizing skills

Remember this game was released in 2001, you can't be playing vanilla for 22 years.
I am a hardcore vanilla player and changing radio from gta 3 to LCS variants was a really cool touch (yeah, time is different, but it was surpringly fitting, especially for me when i remember every line of radio dialogue in game), sadly i wasn't able to port LCFR in place of Chatterbox
And i also installed LCS wheels. I'm stupid attached to original GTA 3 PC release, and it's wheels (monster Tire profile for the sports cars looks funky as hell, and the taxi and police car (and lots more cars) wheels are literally my child hood, seriously), but the quality is really on point and it fits just right in the game
I was trying to mess with timecyc files (i bet brta or LCS timecyc would look beautiful in GTA 3) and car models but it's kinda difficult and too much files and installing for me
Not to mention there's an awesome mod that makes GTA 3+ : Xbox props and textures and effects. It's kinda on a heavy side i, can't run it, but if i could, i'd rock that thing, it's an awesome mod

What I hate in GTA 3 is that gangs in some places shoot at you. You can't explore the city peacefully.
If you could explore peacefully would it be a GTA game?
Thats why claude is the most suitable gta protagonist, a cold serial killer with no emotions and the whole city behind him, also if you want to explore take ray's bulletproof patriot

Honestly, I don't see how having no fly-able planes is a downside. Just remember how bloody infuriating every flying mission was in the following GTA games.
Also, the longest time I managed to fly with the DODO plane was about 2 or 3 seconds, never managed to keep the horrible thing in the air :D
And by the way, GTA 3 is still a pretty awesome game imho :)

Honestly, it is incredible how the GTA 3 community adds functions that the other GTAs have every day, such as being able to swim, being able to drive both motorcycles and helicopters, and also crouching.
What do you expect? This is a very old game the first 3d gta game ever and you want it to be gta v ?

the map was in the box when you bought the game from the store on the CD. It was very detailed and you could navigate old school: park on the side, open the map in rl, try to find some landmarks and remember which curves you took, then try to find best way to your destination and continue driving. I liked it. Gave you more immersion

To the first fact, when i played San Andreas or another GTA games, i didnt need a map to finish the mission, i just need to follow the mission marker and that was it.

The absence of the map really annoyed me, especially when I did the Espresso-2-GO mission....
If you bought Gta 3 on PC or PS2 when it first came out it came with an instruction manual and a poster on the reverse side of the poster there was a map . I bought Gta 3 PS2 second hand and I was lucky it came with the poster/map . Also you can search for it on Google and get a print out .

There is a train in this game, and this game is very old and the technology were pretty limited at its time so you shouldn’t put the blame on it.
Graphics were crap, because it was the FIRST GTA 3D game. Take max payne. It came out thr same year as GTA III. Graphics are also kinda crap.

The damn paramedic mission. I’m playing PSN version of the game on PS3 and can’t beat it. Reached the last level 2 times but the time is just horrible.
On mobile this mission is hard, but on PC with PS 3 controller I completed it in first try

Yeah... I went and played this game a few months back after like 10 years or so of not touching it and realized how outdated and lackluster much of it was. It still holds a special place in my heart though because it was the first GTA game I played as a kid.

Having no in-game map isn't a big deal for me. I'm only 38% through the game and I know it well enough. The main thing that bugged me was just trying to get out of shoreside vale before I had it memorised.
