They didnt become force ghosts, and for now windu's death isnt confirmed nor denied yet, so there is hope they'll milk a series out of his character after the window fall
Considering that Palpatine was so powerful, no one else could've stopped him but Anakin.
It took a lot of carnage, but ultimately, Anakin was the right guy in the right place.
So, I think George Lucas did well in his characterisation. A very conflicted character, teaching us about fate.

Actually after Luke tells Palpatine that he is a Jedi like his father before him; Palpatine says "So be it, Jedi." That was a bitter acknowledgement, but an acknowledgement nonetheless.

No, it was to complete his training as a jedi. The one thing anakin never learned to do was to let go, and this brought him to his downfall. His redemption is completed when he learns to let go when seeing leia and luke together with han chewbacca and r2d2 and c3p0 comemmorating commemorating the battle of endor. Then he fully becomes a jedi and embraces the light side, and appears there as a force ghost

the fact that anakins force ghost was not his sith body but his jedi body is actually peak writing. Because only jedi can become force ghost meant that anakin would have his jedi form when he became a ghost

The term force ghost is really dumb because everyone who dies becomes a ghost period. EVERYONE BECOMES ONE WITH THE FORCE. SO calling them force ghosts is moot! Everyone is just a ghost. Everyone returns to sender.
