  • Art sound installation with Holophones by Laura Bianchini and Michelangelo Lupone
Rome, Mercati di Traiano (Markets of Trajan)
    4-6 January 2015
The installation is based on a sophisticated but not invasive musical and visual setting, realized with Holophones - sound projectors, which characterize the space highlighting, with light and music, some of the architectural elements of the site. It is conceived for a playful and widespread entertainment, a surprising event that redesign, even if just for three days, the perceptive space of the greater semi-circle of the Markets of Trajan.
The audience had the possibility to move in the area in front of via Alessandrina and the Fora, taking part to the event which was structured in two consecutive and cyclical parts: “Il luogo” (the place) and “L’incontro” (the meeting).
“Il luogo” is characterized by a discrete and non invasive musical setting, with pieces of music from the classical, modern and contemporary repertoire.
“L’incontro” consists in a big sound scenery with light transformations.
The music, especially composed by Laura Bianchini and Michelangelo Lupone, originates from the previous sound setting but stand out with musical elements characterized by an increasing rhythm and by the spatialization of the sounds that, with different speeds and trajectories, cross the space and take a specific position in the semi-circle.
