It´s true: Pat used to perform as the Speaker of the UK-Top-40 at the end of the 1980s on BFBS /British Forces Broadcasting System in Germany and I listened to it every Monday when he brought the newest and hottest hits from the UK right into my ears - wonderful memories - I miss BFBS !
this is brill I remember when you were able to go clubbing without being worried out fights and all the crap that goes along with todays music. I'm still dancing.
I have not stopped myself. I know it is cheese and i was more Hardcore, but they was great times and these tracks always remind me of them times. Actually , it reminds me of The Hitman And Her :) Pete Waterman. Very fine production work considering the sound and technology was quite new unlike now, we have everything to produce with. 80s and 90s vibes and great dancers!
And the wonderful Gloria Jones wrote the original, she released the original of Tainted Love and later was backing vocals for T-Rex and had a child to Marc Bolan
Oh wow I remember this. I was working in Hammersmith and somehow ended up seeing this being recorded, something to do with Capital Radio I think, but can't be sure. Same era as Jason and Kylie, it was a good year for Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
This song was number 9 in the british charts - being more successful than the original which was sung by a guy named Gonzales.....In that time Stock/Aitken/Waterman could release nearly every tune - and it was a hit in the british charts !!!!
A sammple of this song were posted on the vinyl record of the Remixes of Jason Donovan´s Too many Broken Hearts... since 1989, I´ve been looking for this song..... wow! excellent! thank you!!!!!!!! Humberto. Chihuahua Mexico.
Thanks for adding this...and now for my rant. Pat and Mick were talented singers, and did 2 pish cover songs in their entire music career. I reckon Stock AItken and Waterman got drunk one night and said "Alright, we've got about 2 million number 1 songs under our belts- let's see how far we can push the Britsih public and make number 1" And so came Pat and Mick. Still not as bad as The Reynolds Girls (who share my surname...oh God!!!)
Cheesy I know.....but those from the real 80s will remember this, and yers sadly I am one of them! Living in London at the time, used to listen to Capital 95.8 when it was a decent station to listen too, unlike nowadays, and yes Pat & Mick were very good 'presenters'.
I remember at the time this video came out not having a clue who Mick was. Apparently he presented a London radio show with Pat but living in Birmingham I wasn't aware of that. Pat presented Funhouse so he was famous nationally
Don't get so upset. This is just a great s.a.w. production. You can't deny it. Of course the original is better. But this song is a great remix and cover version. And you must know that because of this song a lot of people are looking up the original. Cause I never knew the original song. But now I know. And I like the original too.
Anyone know the names of the two beautiful backing dancers? Esp. The one on the left of the screen? I could look at her face foverever. Great tune. The 4 the post guys.
I couldn't agree with you more! Talk about he murder of one of the all time greatest disco classics! S/A/W/ should stick to what they do best - creating their own computer generated rubbish and leave the classical written tunes alone! As for Pat and Mick- they shouldn't be allowed to have anything to do with this classic. Crap like this gives disco a bad name ! ... no wonder it failed in the charts around the whole world !!!!!!!
Pat Sharp's Mullet was so epic it should have had a show and album of its own.
Listening in 2024.....you are a true legend. just feel good music, really love it
Pats so dad dancing isnt he. Everybodys happy and having fun. I was working as bar staff on a holiday camp at this time. This was my life!!

What a song !! Makes me feel better after a bad day ! Stock ,Aitken and Waterman quality !!

Michaél agus Padraig
@@YOYOKE64 Pádraig agus Mícheál.
I loved this when it was released - hell, I was only 9. This was a good cause: all the royalties from their album went to a kids charity.
Yes. Help a London Child, people of Inverness!
Moja żona to uwielbia. ❤️🤗😘🌺Przebój do dzisiaj. 😘🤗❤️
And the wonderful Gloria Jones wrote the original, she released the original of Tainted Love and later was backing vocals for T-Rex and had a child to Marc Bolan
I'm the naff blond
So retro! ... Memories ... We thought we were stylish!
you were hot ..leggy..
That's cos the dress is sooo short! Hehe
You are definitely the more stylish of the two blonds.
Although the cameraman seems more interested in brunettes.
Tres amuse!!
but the naff blond is Pat Sharp.
DISCO!!! we sure as hell didn't need aerobics or zumba classes. dang, that was great music
Am going to play this for your funeral Calum.
Oh wow I remember this. I was working in Hammersmith and somehow ended up seeing this being recorded, something to do with Capital Radio I think, but can't be sure.
Same era as Jason and Kylie, it was a good year for Stock, Aitken and Waterman.
Both were DJ's on Capital FM so more than likely 😀
What a pair of Pat and Micks...
Pat's hair!! Classic!
The hunt goes on for The Renyold Girls..

"Eu ainda não parei de dançar, desde que nos encontramos no nosso primeiro encontro!" (In Portuguese)

This song was number 9 in the british charts - being more successful than the original which was sung by a guy named Gonzales.....In that time Stock/Aitken/Waterman could release nearly every tune - and it was a hit in the british charts !!!!

The sad thing was that even back then, Pat Sharps ridiculous Mullet was out of date.
He had a mullet most southern pro wrestlees would be jealous of, its comparable to Ricky Morton's mullet.
ŁAŁ ale disco !!
puściłam muzę na fulla !
:)))
2018 I would say they are still dancing
VERY good question. You're absolutely right about that.
Mick Brown was his mate, they both used to DJ on Capital Radio back in the 80's, they also used to play the Trumpet alot.

Video from Pat and Mick, very NICE.
I remember at the time this video came out not having a clue who Mick was. Apparently he presented a London radio show with Pat but living in Birmingham I wasn't aware of that. Pat presented Funhouse so he was famous nationally

I like the Black flamer in the chaps.
Fabulous.
It's a bangin' choon!Respect! Dub time!
This has Stock Aitken Waterman smeared all over it. I use the term 'smeared' as you would when applying shit on something.
