Fiona Beal murder: victim's mother speaks out

- A primary school teacher has admitted murdering her partner and burying him in their garden, having changed her plea a week into her retrial.
Fiona Beal, 50, had previously pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Nicholas Billingham, 42, but denied the more serious charge. On Friday morning, a week into her retrial at the Old Bailey in London, she changed her plea.
The partly mummified remains of Billingham were found in March 2022, four and a half months after he was last seen. Beal, from Northampton, was arrested that month.

There’s definitely double standards when it comes to domestic violence where men are the victims. For some reason there’s less outrage and less coverage. People forget that women can be just as vile and dangerous.
I was with one of these women, I provided everything, worked hard, made a lovely home in Dorset with a sea view, she was never happy with anything and always angry, even with strangers, one evening I was sat watching TV and something made me look round and she was coming at me with a kitchen knife, that was the last straw for me, I got away quickly, shortly afterwards her sister told me she had been seeing a young lad 16 years old. I recently found out she’s having trouble with her third husband. I consider myself lucky, I dodged a knife and a bullet.

Nicholas was the abusive one.
Murder is never ok, but he treated her terribly.
Grew up with my mom as the abuser my dad got on with it worked away and took the punches I was rage inside saying just hit her back but my old man never did.
Men suffer too but whole stigma around men been victims well you don't hear it much

We are currently living in what is possibly the most peaceful era of the last few thousand years and the freedoms that we all enjoy (movement, religion, sexuality, speech, information, etc) mean that (sadly) occasionally people are likely to get hurt or killed.

A family male member Is getting accused if all sorts .But it's the opposite way around . She stalks him steals his things has kicked him down stairs but the narc plays the victim and police believe her on no evidence . Been going on 2 years or more. Narcessistic mayhem

The person wasn't talking to you, the person was referring to the media and the narrative that they spin in terms of gender when it comes to crime, especially domestic violence.
He never said "Christ_Is_King34 wouldn't call him a monster". He was clearly referring to the press/media. Please get a grip, this isn't about you.
@@dirtyharold7164 Hm, i get where you're coming from, but i also believe that you're living a bit in the past. Think recently to the Amber Heard case, the whole media was very much so against her in this time, many outlets labelled her a monster for DV and rightfully so.
Although i agree that the media can be biased with genders and often demonises both genders in relation to different things, i also think that ignoring the implications of the comment is a bit dishonest. To me, it is only really serving to further this stupid gender war since it seems to be more of a jab at women than any particular social commentary.
I also think the hostility in your comment isn't really helping you to get across your point either. It's clear that you're passionate about the topic and i absolutely respect that because it's a very important discussion, but if you actually want people to listen to you maybe don't be condescending towards them in your reply.

The person making the point could have been clearer that their comment was aimed at the media. If indeed it was. And not just the public at large.
