    Hi! Did you have to wait until the 4 months was up to get your diploma ? Or are you able to get it as soon as you finish? Let’s say I finish in 8 weeks, will I get my diploma right away or do I have to wait for the entire 4 months to end?

    Hello Nurse -Bri, please I need your help. Am planning on enrolling with Capella university flex-path. I need you to guide me. Pls how does the flex-path work. Is it just paper writing. And how many classes can I finish in 12 weeks. I don't like the traditional path. I don't like discussion. I just want to write my papers and submit them. Thanks alot.

    • @heydoctorbri
      @heydoctorbri  5 лет назад +6

      Kemilove naturals yes the flex path program is just papers. In each class there are usually 4 papers or 3 papers and a PowerPoint. I wrote a paper a day and finished a class a week, to finish in 12 weeks. I really liked the flexpath because it’s flexible and you can set up your own due dates.

    Hey Bri, Thanks for the video! Now, my question is which class did you find was the hardest? and also, how did you plan your time to finish in 12 weeks, Im trying to do the same! Did you use any outside resources?

    • @heydoctorbri
      @heydoctorbri  5 лет назад +3

      Gloria Milton no problem. The hardest class was the capstone and that’s only because the last paper was longer than the other papers, throughout the program. I planed my time by writing a paper a day and finishing a class a week. Once you get the hang of writing papers it goes pretty fast. I didn’t use any outside resources, I just used their online library database for research. Each class also recommends research from the library, so you can use that too.

      Nurse Bri Hi. What do you mean by each class recommends research from the library? Do they give you the research to use or they just simply want us to use there library search engine to complete the paper? Thanks for your help

    Did your grad school View your degree from Capella differently? I know that you have started nurse practitioner school(congrats!), but I want to know whether or not the way that Capella is structured if they saw it as a true 4.0 when you applied? I know that a school that is similar, which is Western Governors University that they say upon completion that your GPA is seen as a 3.0 because you don’t receive actual grades for your work. I think it sounds like a great option im just worried about getting a degree from there. You said they transcribe the grades for you which is great, but did they mention you finishing so quickly in your interview if you had one?.

    • @heydoctorbri
      @heydoctorbri  5 лет назад +6

      Trevon Smith thanks for the question. No, my grad school didn’t view it any different because the transcribed grades are really letter grades. They did view it as a 4.0 because Capella is accredited. Don’t be nervous about getting a degree there because it is different than WGU. WGU focus on completion, and Capella focus on competency . At Capella your graded on the competency. For grad school I had to write a interview paper and I talked about why I finished so quickly. They still viewed it as a true 4.0. If you any other questions let me know.

    • @heydoctorbri
      @heydoctorbri  5 лет назад +3

      Tabitha Carvalho hey, thanks for the question! There are no clinical requirements. And the amount of classes depend on how many hours you work a week, and how much time you have off. It also depends how fast you gather research and write.

    • @tabithacarvalho9609
      @tabithacarvalho9609 5 лет назад +2

      @@heydoctorbri Thanks Bri. So there was no capstone class where you have to work with a preceptor in a facility, correct? Because my current online program is requiring 100 hrs of practicum for me to get my BSN. An impossibility when you are working full time.

    • @heydoctorbri
      @heydoctorbri  5 лет назад +3
