Today I have a large bowl of assorted nuts to enjoy the story! When I was young , a CBS radio program would play old radio Classics, including cereals and tails from the macabre. Your show is bringing back a fond nostalgia for me! Your work is extremely appreciated!
Back in the 70s and 80s CBS had a radio show that had stories of mystery and the macabre. It was called (not surprisingly) _CBS Radio Mystery Theater_ and was hosted by actor E.G. Marshall. They're all available to stream for free on the web.
I remember the motels that used to have the beds with the "Magic Fingers" massage machines. "Creeping Fingers" sounds like something you'd find in an hourly rate motel whose mattress you _don't_ wanna run a black light over! 😳
Warren sat in the comfy easy chair next to the crackling fireplace, head growing heavy and vision blurring. Finally his book fell into his lap and he nodded off. A sensitive sleeper, he started awake as a shadow loomed over him. _"YOU!"_ Warren gasped at the enormous white bearded man in the white fur trimmed red suit frowning down at him. The massive holiday apparition threw down a coffin in disgust, bellowing _"Dammit man! You're supposed to be DEAD!"_
can i ask a little help? 11:45 here i didn't understand what does 'growing warm' mean. then 'may have dozen'. as i can guess, in the first, the main character express his drowsiness, in the second - nostalgia. but this expressions just sounds strange for non-native. thank you in advance
Not Christmas comment but can you please read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne? It was one of my most favourite books growing up and I think you would be a good narrator for this classic novel that sent chills thru me every time I read it. Being under the sea scares me but I am also fascinated by it 😅
The horrorbable team have made this such a spooky Christmas, and I would like to thank you guys, the best channel on RUclips. Merry Christmas.
Seriously Ian this uploading schedule is absolutely awesome! Thx so much, Merry Christmas 🎄🎁🖤✌️

HB has to be the hardest working cosmic horror channel on YT. Doing it down a man, too. Thank you Ian and Company!
This has been such a stressful season; I look forward ever night to laying down and listening to Horrorbabble. ❤❤❤ Is my relaxing "me time."

Delightfully creepy, thanks for sharing.
Thank you ❄️🩵
Love it❤ merry Christmas❤
Interesting that in King's The Shining, room 217 is where Danny has an encounter.
Room 237 was the room.

@Driven2Beers
Those were the best!
Many thanks again much appreciated x
Thank you I will enjoy this
And that’s why you shouldn’t bully the hotel staff, lest they give you the haunted room.
What a coincidence. I've got court next week for my creeping fingers.
Excellent.
A very enjoyable tale! Much appreciated!
Well done. Thank you Mr Gordon and Horror Babble. Excellent as always. Until next time.
This is a great addition to the list of movies and stories about a haunted hotel room or apartment.
The setup reminded me of The Mystery of the Circular Chamber. I like a protagonist who just wants a break.
Terrific story! I don't recall hearing of this author before!
Awesome! Thank you for your work as always!
Love the return of the original intro. ❤
Many thanks! That was great!
Is it possible the nephew DIDN’T kill his Uncle and just fled in fright due to him seeing the mist drowning his Uncle?

Great story !! ❤
Thanks again!

Horrorbabble 1st Comment...Something Something poor Warren is some type of deadly Fool.

It would be better if he had slept in the station.
As an avid lover of baths, I really wish I hadn't listened to this story. 😂
317! New hotel room to worry about!

13:30 actually, another question. 'peeling' perhaps point to leather chair, is that right guess?
23:14 and the last one. the nephew was 'hang' as part of public execution?
I assume that the movie 1408 is based on this?
😅he called the rooms cheerless and repulsive ive never felt that strongly about a room thats a terrible room bro
this story should be a reverence to fourth silent hill :)
317 or 1408?
But Warren?
He got better.
@briandiadem phew
