Why is the owner of this building still allowed to own property and isn't in jail when this is the SECOND building he's owned which has burned down to the ground and people have died from?
Once again a building cited for fire regulation violations, and the same owner of the other building innocent people died in!!! Just who was paid off to allow these exceptions to building code violations??? DISGUSTING!!!!
was it the woman screaming on the balcony? she could of jumped with her kid. A 8-10 year girl jump from her building around a year or so ago and it look higher than that window. I think she broke both legs when she jumped.

This could end up as murder charge(s). So sad the mom and young child had to perish. I wonder if they were truly on the fire escape, and it was working ok, why did they not descend to safety ? No. He said he saw them on a balcony, but went inside to put on clothes and so lost sight of them. The least he could have done is stay outside to point them out to rescuers or perhaps yell out to them instructions about where to go or what to do. Even reminding someone to put a wet towel over their mouth and nose may have helped them survive a little while longer so as to escape.
