I have c63 2010 new battery and fairly new alternator. Alternator is not charging battery. Not sure if its the ECU or voltage regulator..

What would be the cause of an alternator putting out voltage but no amperage? Would the voltage regulator be the culprit for that? I’ve never came across this before. It’s an 08 CL550

Did you diagnose it with scanner. I have same car and same symptoms and whining from the alternator

@@georgebushisntcool I narrowed it down to being the voltage regulator as they’re notorious for going bad on many models and years. I bought a new one to replace but wound up stripped the screws attaching it cause they were seized. I gave up and put a new alternator in and everything is better than it was before. Got a new one off Amazon for $175
