Homemade sauerkraut! Yum. My dad used to make a 25 gallon barrell of it in the basement every year. He may have left farming but it never left him. Every year a huge garden and enough food to feed the six of us all year. I still make my own homemade sauerkraut every year.
Your mum is like so many mums, she wakes of a morning thinking what’s for meals for the day. Mums are precious. We need some great farms like yours with fresh fruit and veggies here in Australia that sells to the public. The cows obviously know what the whistling means. Have to laugh at your dad” “the cow ate it”, his jacket. Would love the recipe to the sauerkraut , please. Cheers from Australia xxx
The master's at work making a delicious dish that requires patience and endurance. Such craftsmanship is unique and a true test to master. A dying art indeed!
Love seeing you make Sauerkraut. I used to make it with my grandmother. We used crocks to ferment it in and cut it all by hand. Sure can't find any in the store that tastes near as good. I'd love to try yours, but I'm on the other end of the country! Love the video's and seeing you all work together.
Did you know that chickens love cabbage and hay? We supplement hay in the winter time for greens. Makes their discharge less watery too. Just thought I'd share. Love watching you boys raz each other.
Its also me thing to learn how to grow things safe what to learn about farming and how to do it good bless our farmers keep on blowing and for the lessons in life how to do things right way to grow American products thanks to all. Farmers bless yal

Don Hanson Thanks for your comment! You are very right. The funny thing is our family makes Horse radish and we sell it in our farm market during certain times of the year. We make 50lb batches of our own home made traditional horse radish and a red beet horseradish. I will definitely make a video about it soon.

The trick to great sauerkraut is the cabbage being chopped. For some reason it tastes better chopped kinda small.

Can I put in an order for raw sauerkraut made with purple cabbage and raw unprocessed sea salt?
Do you milk cows or raise them for meat
We just do beef, our family used to raise dairy, but we had a very bad barn fire and we stopped before myself and my brothers were born
@@theveggieboys I'm really sorry about your fire it looks like you've rebuilt it's looking great
Never seen a turkey egg
No Purple Cabbage??? #dadisthecoolest
Hello
That's or she is my cousin
Since you have cattle why don’t you sell your own meat. You get the animals scattered what do you do with the meat
