I've been going to hershey since I was a wee little pup. Now I'm 37 and a season pass holder so a lot of my favorites come from nostalgia and the difference in wait times over the years. I have a 7 year old that can ride half the coasters including wildcat. The thing with sky rush for me is I'm 6 foot 6....if I sit outside seat with nowhere to plant my feet....its a great ride because I rarely get that true air time feeling. But my top 5 have to go wildcat....candymonium....great bear....sky rush....and comet. I would even put the original wild cat in my top 5. That was an amazing wooden coaster despite what everyone thought. It put lightening racer to shame cuz u didnt know if you were gonna make it out alive.
I also really liked the original Wildcat even if I much prefer Revenge. Nice to see somebody else who appreciates that ride.

Hersheypark is a "Jack of All Trades Master of None" park.
It has a strong collection of coasters that might not take the Number 1 spots when compared to other parks, but when Wildcat's Revenge was added it really got everything it needed coasterwise. Also it's a perfect family park with its rides. SooperDooperLooper is a great coaster to introduce kids to inversions. Great Bear offers an excellent mix of smoothness and intensity of a multi inversion coaster that doesn't go overboard. Like Looper a great coaster for indoctrinating new young riders to its class. The park's coaster collection makes a perfect staircase of mild thrills to extreme thrills.
Imo Skyrush is masterful.
Just went here for the first time about a week ago and here is my personal ranking:
#14 Comet - surprising I know but it was really uncomfortable and rough for me, plus I got no airtime although I was expecting to, imo it would’ve been so much better if it still had buzz bars
#13 Cocoa Cruiser - just a kiddie coaster and not even a good one
#12 Wild Mouse - just a wild mouse and not even a good one
#11 Trailblazer - surprisingly kinda fun but it is still a short family coaster, it’s great at being a family coaster tho
#10 Lightning Racer - I rode it twice and it was extremely bumpy for me both times, but the racing element was kinda fun
#9 Jolly Rancher Remix - the first and only boomerang I’ve ridden, it was alright
#8 Fahrenheit - fun elements and a good layout but the seats suck on a ride this long, I still enjoyed the ride tho
#7 Sooperdooperlooper - this ride was actually really fun and relaxing! Such a chill coaster and I love it tbh
#6 Great Bear - good ride with some fun elements that I enjoyed, not much else to say about it. it was fun seeing you on the ride :)
#5 Laff Trakk - idk why but I loved this ride, yeah it was a family coaster but the theming was fun, the music was goofy and I loved it, and it was just a fun time all around
#4 Skyrush - super intense for me tbh, especially the drop, I absolutely loved this coaster but I loved three other ones in the park even more
#3 Storm Runner - such a short but sweet ride, that launch and top hat is insane
#2 Candymonium - really fun ride with a lot of airtime, currently my favorite B&M hyper that I’ve ridden (I know that’s a hot take considering I’ve done Mako and Diamondback)
#1 Wildcat’s Revenge - just amazing in every way, it was my 100th credit so I might be a little biased but it’s such a good ride
the launch on storm runner is great N all but the launch on Xcelerator can't compete, sky rush is my #1. WCR #2 and Candymonium is #3 storm runner is #4 and fahrenheit is #5

Went to hershey on Friday and got a chance to ride WIldcats Revenge TWICE and Candy Twice! Love this park!

@@ThemeParkAvenue 😂 I gotta say as a newer coaster enthusiast facing fear of heights when I rode wildcats revenge got me ready for bigger and better rides! My thoughts on remix is I did not like it. To me restraints were uncomfortable and the reverse part of the ride was very rough. But loved the theme of it! Storm Runner would have been number 2 but it just to short! Also I rode skyrush before the new restraints and didn’t like it and rode it Friday and still wasn’t thrilled by it! But Hershey has one of the best lineups for family and thrill seekers!

Finally someone else who found Skyrush overrated! I did love the first drop, but I wasn't wild about the rest of the ride. Storm Runner had always been my favorite, between the excellent launch, top hat and flying snake dive, and was always my most re-ridable coaster....until Wildcat's Revenge came around and blew my mind even more. You are correct in EVERYTHING you said about that amazing coaster. It far exceeded my expectations and easily became my new #1 in the park. (And I still have Candymonium at #3!)
I’m supposed to be going to Hershey park this Wednesday coming up but I’m a little worried that I won’t be able to get on wild cat’s revenge storm runner candymonium because I’m 6’2 285-290 lbs
Close to mine, mostly the ones that are close are swapped. I'd put the mouse above Trailblazer and Laff Track several higher, SDL lower. Comet is around there now but ran amazing back in 2020. Skyrush's new restraints don't overcome its increased rattle and loss of grace, but do love the retheme and Fahrenheit also has some of those issues. Candy is even better than you say, back row drop pure flojector this year, also pops in the front and middle row is full of floater. Still have to put WR's insanity over it the end, but closer than expected.
I haven't been on Skyrush since it got its new restraints, but I was very underwhelmed when I went on it in 2018 and 2023. Both times the restraints badly hurt the airtime and I could not understand what people were talking about when they said it was intense. Storm Runner and Great Bear were both much more intense, and I enjoyed Candymonium's airtime far more than Skyrush's. Maybe the new restraints will make the difference, but I find it hard to believe that layout will blow me away even if they suddenly got the B&M clamshell restraints.
I agree with the Wildcat ranking. I think it’s one of the best RMC’s. Here’s my list

its almost like you hate coasters when you get to #5-#4. I have not been to HP yet, im planning a trip this Sept. but imo, it almost has the worlds best line up.
From my experience riding Steel Vengeance. Front is smooth and tame, and back is whippy and intense. I'd keep that in mind when riding any ride.
The coaster community amazes me sometimes lol. They find ways to find rides like Skyrush forceless. Where do y'all get the immunity to the intensity and airtime of Skyrush? Same with Fahrenheit and Great Bear. How do you actually enjoy coasters if all you ever say about them is that they're underwhelming or forceless?
I love roller coasters, a select few rides just happen to not be as intense for me as they are for others. I think all the rides you names are pretty great, I just think other rides are better. I hope you realize not everybody has the same ride experiences as you.
@@ThemeParkAvenue I feel like most of the differences we see in peoples' opinions of coasters come from differences in preferences of the sensations we get on the rides, as well as the expectations we have of those sensations. For example, I'm a big fan of positive G intensity, So rides like I-305 and Skyrush are my jam. Some don't like that as much which I can respect. What I don't always understand is how some claim to feel the sensations differently, but I guess that could be due to expectations. I've heard people underwhelmed by the intensity of I-305 or the airtime of Candymonium, for example, but we all get the same 4.5 g (or whatever it is) and the same airtime hills. As you sort of alluded to in the video, being underwhelmed by something implies expectations that we set too high for one reason or another. But again, what I don't quite get is when an objectively forceful ride "doesn't do much" for someone. Maybe that's also due to expectations? Idk. Sorry for the long comment, but those are my thoughts on that, ig. Thanks!
That's a good point, I think expectation might play a role in my Skyrush experience and my preferences don't really align with it. It is odd that we can feel different forces on the same rides, but any number of physical or psychological differences can cause that. I can understand that it's hard to empathize with takes that differ so wildly from our own, but I think those differences are one of the things that make roller coasters so much fun to ride and talk about. I appreciate your comment, thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@ThemeParkAvenue Yeah, you make a good point as well about feeling different forces. It's quite wild to me how it seems that some people feel coasters a little differently despite the fact it doesn't work like that on paper. I'd be curious to look more into those physical and psychological elements that you mentioned. A new strain of science, maybe?

I rode Skyrush in the back Left wing, and it sucked. Way too rough, restraint is painful (didn’t ride it before new ones, but these are still painful, at least for a guy). Definitely one of the roughest coasters I’ve ever ridden, and I don’t mean that in a good way
My top 5 is great bear,stormrunner,skyrush,candymonium,wildcats revenge
For me Candymonium was VERY underwhelming, but I may have ridden it on a bad day. I didn't get a chance to do everything at the park, but here's my ranking of what I managed to ride:
#1 Wildcat's Revenge (The best layout by RMC)
#2 Skyrush (I understand why a lot of people put this lower but for me it was great. I actually had a hard time deciding between this and wildcat for #1)
#3 Stormrunner (Launch was decent, layout was great, especially the flying snake dive. Rougher than I anticipated but it wasn't by any means painful.)
#4 Candymonium (As I said I found this very underwhelming. The first camelback was great but the rest of the airtime moments just felt mediocre at best. Wrapping the fountain was really cool.)
#5 Great Bear (My favorite invert, though I haven't ridden Montu. Really good inversions but not as intense as the Batman clones. The scenery is what set it above for me.)
#6 Fahrenheit (Lift hill and ejector moments were good. I agree with the inversions being underwhelming.)
#7 Lightning Racer (Towards the bottom of my overall rankings. My one ride was extremely rough, but I wish I was able to get back on and try it again.)
I'll be back in winter to ride both Candymonium AND Wildcat some more, as well as whatever coasters I missed that are open during the season. Hopefully I can enjoy candy more, cause I really want it to move up in my ranks.
I mostly agree. I'd swap Fahrenheit and Candymonium. I haven't ridden Comet with the new cars. I prefer buzzbar Comet to Skyrush.

The best part of Skyrush is the lift. It always surprises me how fast you fly up that massive hill. But everything after the drop is, in my opinion, boring. It is very pretty to look at with it mostly being over pond. I've riden it 6 times now and I really want to like it, but I just don't understand what's so good about it.
I mean the -2G on the first hill is kinda cool. If ejector airtime or intensity isn't your thing, I can understand why Skyrush might be boring though

@@lordofwar1441 I mean, I'm sure you're exaggerating at least a little because I don't see how it's physically possible to feel absolutely nothing on any coaster, let alone one of the most physically violent coasters on the planet, but there are plenty of other reason why you might dislike it (including expectations and preferences) which I can respect
@nicholasschau2388 I know on paper is supposed to be the most violent, but as far as the ride to me, Wild Cats Revenge feels 10x more violent. Hell, I think Great Bear feels more violent. The only thing that feels violent to me is the pressure of the lap bar squeezing my legs when you get to the final break run .
Comet is way better than Lightning Racer, I got on after rain so it was a walk on, but Lightning Racer Hurts. I think Comet deserves 7th.
do you think hershey parks line up is now comparable to cedar point or kings island
It's much closer with Wildcat's Revenge, though I do prefer the lineups of those parks
me personally i think hershey park is a top 5 park in the us only behind parks like kings island cedar point or magic mountain but ahead of parks like great adventure or great america

Dude…. Nice vid but the rankings a kinda wack! It seems to me you are more of a floater airtime person bc of skyrush. And in my opinion storm runner is a little overrated but it’s still a great ride but dude. Not once I have got airtime on the flying snake dive. Great element just no air time and the top hat has no where near better airtime than sky rush and Fahrenheit. I agree with your early rankings but I really disagree with candy. I think that ride is great just tame compared to the other rollercoasters in the park. I mean if you were a G P then I would understand that it was your favorite. But on a positive note I did enjoy the video. I also really like your content. Did your actually ride coasters?
I appreciate the fact that you enjoy my content. I am known for my unpopular roller coaster opinions, but I stand by all of them. You are correct that I like floater more than most, and I truly did get launched out of my seat on the flying snake dive. I promise I rode all of the coasters and just had lots of fun on Candymonium. @@BakedSports I went to that park just for skyrush this year and I really wanted to make it top ten overall, it just didn’t do much for me after the first drop and turn. It’s not a bad ride it’s just really short and doesn’t do much

@@dennmod24 I'm afraid it may drop. On the flip side, somehow Wildcat is running faster this year! Pointers for skyrush though, lean forward to still feel the laterals in the second half of the ride. Dw, it's still elite, just not quite as good as it was.
