Three strikes for Taiwan this year: Gaemi, Krathon and now Kong-rey: all striking at typhoon intensity. Let's also not ingore the fact Kong-rey has especially broken some records as of today - October 31 (Happy Halloween for some of you folks).
I must now say that Kong-rey has made HISTORY as of Halloween today! It is now the latest typhoon landfall in modern history, and the latest since Gilda 1967! Kong-rey is also the latest Taiwanese major landfall on record, surpassing Nock-ten 2004!
yeah I was in Taiwan back in July visiting family when Gaemi swept through, it rained like I've never seen before in my life (I was in Kaohsiung) and my uncle's construction site he was working on just got totally flooded
In my analysis, Kong-rey is 130mph 946mbar rn and possibly weakening into 125mph before landfall.

@@notmrpopular0099 almost made another record if Kong-rey made landfall 1 day later
