Perfect example of being too much of a wrestling nerd with the over analyzing and not actually understanding the era in time and the true reaction superstars were getting no matter how dumb it sounds on paper or looks on video. Men on a mission were insanely over, I remember seeing them live as a child and the whole arena waving their arms in the air singing along side them. Everyone is such purest for pure wrestling these days, they miss the forest for the trees and fail to realize a big part of the experience is the gimmick and entrance. I have far more memories of entrances of random wrestlers with weird gimmicks then I do of people wrestling the perfect match. Caring about the technical side of wrestling is something fans do when they feel like they have to justify why they still enjoy wrestling as an adult, like a snob who looks at fancy art work and pretends to describe how deep it is when the obvious answer is the art just looks aesthetically pleasing. Mable stumbling around the ring was far more exciting and over then you will ever understand from your arm chair quarter back position. They didn't really cool off till the heel turn and that is where their weakness stood out more. They brought so much fun and excitement to the ring as faces no one gave two shits if they could barley move around the ring.

Vince was the only promoter smart enough to turn them babyface, they were so likeable and so funny in real life that it was a brilliant decision to make them babyface. They were in their 40's, beat up and were sick of bleeding for little money in dying territories like Puerto Rico or Memphis, in WWF they were always booked as an attraction and fans fell in love with them instantly. Best run of their careers, they said it themselves several times.

This was a terrible list bad by even this channels standard. The only truly bad teams were the Gemini and DOA.
The Dicks and Heart Throbs get an an asterisk, because I never saw them in OVW and heard good things.

As is previously commented on, though not quite clarified, putting "New" in front of the name of a previously existing tag team is a guaranteed death knell for the new team. Not only does it immediately compare a new team to one who gained popularity after years of working together, putting the new team at a major disadvantage from the outset, it is also as good an indicator you could need that creative has no real plans for you. The sad thing is creative are aware of this, and try to get around it by trying names like LOD 2000, etc. So if you're a budding tag team hoping for your big break and this is the best the company can offer you, run for the hills.

I think the Harris twins was WWF version of what they had in mind when they signed Bruiser Brody & Nord ( The Berzker ) who in was Nord The Barbarian in AWA and tagged there and they worked the same but before they showed up in WWF Brody was murdered but if they had made it they wouldve been great
