Rick Bogner got totally screwed. He was thrown in because he could do a good Razor impersonation vocally but the whole thing was terrible. He was a buddy and a good guy who passed too soon.
Fun fact, Chad Fortune would go on to drive monster trucks in Monster Jam for almost 20 years, most notably driving the Superman, Soldier of Fortune, and WCW Nitro Machine trucks

Not sure if Men on a Mission are on this list because of some weird personal vendetta against them that Pacitti has or just because he wasn't watching wrestling at that time, but they were generally quite over and reasonably successful at the time and had a pretty good run, there are a dozen other worse tag teams that could on this list.
The Gymini were so bad that Jim Cornette kicked them out of OVW following them botching a simple finish to one of their matches. They had been wrestling for about 10 years by that point as well.
Fun fact Antonio of the Heartthrobs is a really talented, underrated indie veteran who is a tremendous technical wrestler and has an incredible physique even at his age
You obviously don't understand the time period that Men on a Mission came out. The rap group, ironically called Tag Team, was huge. I kind of liked MOM. Their matches weren't that bad. It was all about capitalizing on what was cool at the time.
Perfect example of being too much of a wrestling nerd with the over analyzing and not actually understanding the era in time and the true reaction superstars were getting no matter how dumb it sounds on paper or looks on video. Men on a mission were insanely over, I remember seeing them live as a child and the whole arena waving their arms in the air singing along side them. Everyone is such purest for pure wrestling these days, they miss the forest for the trees and fail to realize a big part of the experience is the gimmick and entrance. I have far more memories of entrances of random wrestlers with weird gimmicks then I do of people wrestling the perfect match. Caring about the technical side of wrestling is something fans do when they feel like they have to justify why they still enjoy wrestling as an adult, like a snob who looks at fancy art work and pretends to describe how deep it is when the obvious answer is the art just looks aesthetically pleasing. Mable stumbling around the ring was far more exciting and over then you will ever understand from your arm chair quarter back position. They didn't really cool off till the heel turn and that is where their weakness stood out more. They brought so much fun and excitement to the ring as faces no one gave two shits if they could barley move around the ring.
For what it's worth, I was heart broken when the Heartthrobs were released. My brother and I loved how cheesy they were, and the one time we saw them live at a house show is one of our favorite memories from a wrestling show.
Remember that the Tekno Team 2000 was supposed to represent the future yet this is WWF in 1995, but you gotta admit that their entrance theme is amazing!, like a 21st century racing championship theme haha
The reason why they signed with WWE was so they would no longer have to work that style that had beaten them down physically for 20 years, and get their biggest payday to boot.
"Nerfed them" is such an embarrassing statement. Vince was the only promoter smart enough to turn them babyface, they were so likeable and so funny in real life that it was a brilliant decision to make them babyface. They were in their 40's, beat up and were sick of bleeding for little money in dying territories like Puerto Rico or Memphis, in WWF they were always booked as an attraction and fans fell in love with them instantly. Best run of their careers, they said it themselves several times.

For us Gen X'ers who grew up with them. They were NOT bad back in the day, and when they had Oscar their mic guy they were pretty dang over in the early days. It wasn't till a year in when wrestling was evolving so quickly that they became really lame, really fast. They just didn't evolve like everyone else. But a lot of wrestlers fell by the wayside like that.
Being someone who absolutely loved the Road Warriors ever since I was a little boy; seeing that damn bum Heidenrich dare try to replace Hawk made me start to hate wrestling for a while..
They already tried to make him a bootleg Sycho Sid...he got even worse when they tried to have him replace Hawk. Hawk wasn't a polished wrestler I'll admit..but Heidenreich was all around green and terrible in the ring and had zero charisma.

How about "every tag team from 93-97 with the exception of the one's Owen Hart and British Bulldog were involved in and Michaels and Diesel". Seriously that whole time was just bad tag team after bad tag team. Those 4 were the only ones saving the division (with the help sometimes of Yokozuna and Luger, and yes i know a lot of people don't like the Allied Powers but I thought it was a decent enough tag team considering how bad everything around them were).
I love how the late 80’s tag teams had the most mediocre names: Men Who Wear Red Strong and Proud The Cool Cats Mose and Knuckle ..ok I made those up, but I’m not far from the truth.

As is previously commented on, though not quite clarified, putting "New" in front of the name of a previously existing tag team is a guaranteed death knell for the new team. Not only does it immediately compare a new team to one who gained popularity after years of working together, putting the new team at a major disadvantage from the outset, it is also as good an indicator you could need that creative has no real plans for you. The sad thing is creative are aware of this, and try to get around it by trying names like LOD 2000, etc. So if you're a budding tag team hoping for your big break and this is the best the company can offer you, run for the hills.

Men on Mission also got a push because Hip hop was becoming the new Hip music among the Young Kids. MoM walked so AEW'S The Acclaimed could RUN.
