I had another one of one of those rope things that they use to queue but it’s a maze of dead ends and only leads back outside Another of a next window please custom pumpkin sign that comes up if anyone gets to the desk the final window being a nitwit villager with a bed sleeping on the job And a final one of grian having a escape shoot where he hits a button trapdoor opens a gone fishing sign comes up and he pops out at the pond
Tried to reach a local doctor because I had a painful ear infection for over two weeks. The pain, frusration and annoying music/thanks for my "patience" made me want to kill someone. I wasn't being patient. I was in pain with no other choice but to wait. And I still didn't get help.
The amount of psychological trauma scar is going to get from that hold music is going to be INSANE. I’ve seen ptsd but now every music disk scar sees will probably trigger fight or flight
The motto for most Hermits this season appears to be either 'Working hard' or 'Hardly working.' And true to form, Grian never fails to deliver Tier S content. 😁
You need to make the "other door". Hide it behind some bushes with a pathway that have so much space between the stones that it looks like a path for garden maintenance. Preferably the door leads to a ground floor/cellar. In the cellar you find a hallway that looks so unused that you walk out of the building before giving it another try. One of the questions in a form should include something like: "have you done this moderately frustrating task lately?" And if they do and say yes you'll go "why have you done that? Now you'll have to wait two full workdays before reposting the permit" If you want to take it further you'll remind them that the permit place is only open half a workday each week and that it means they'll have to wait four weeks before reapplying for a permit. Two of the questions(X and Y) should be like "if you've said yes on Y you must say no on X" and vice versa.
Wels absolutely already knowing about the red sand thing was hilarious! And the permit office is horrifying, as it should be. You can really feel the fear and discontempt rolling off of Scar in waves.
The base blooben test, when performed properly, properly displays the findle accuracy of the base's disynchronous glostules. It makes sense the the Permit Department would request such a task given that all shops divulge multicapillarity signals to the central server founded on yelkim quilt technology. Without a positive test result from the Base Blooben Test, the woldreskic templistuists could be misaligned leading to a staggering zundfine shutdown across all grystic access terminals. Hopefully this can be helpful for all inquiring. ❤
Idea: embrace the chest monster on the docks, and give them a sort of cargo crate theme, like how they have tons of barrels and crates on the little wooden platforms
Make it a slight modification of the final storage "system" he used at the end of season 9 where he had themed "rocks" where he would store chests and shulkers of those items. Just make those into dock-themed huts, crates, and sheds. It would honestly fit perfectly into the whole "buys dockyard" theme he has going on.
That "put you on hold" bit... Hits soo close to home when i ask questions even the clerk doesn't know and literally asks me to stay on hold while she asks her supervisor how to handle a typo on my father's passport... Had me laughing to tears
Grian the average office worker who has a passion for fishing, along with gem a lighthouse owner, being indoctrinated into a two person cult through the worship of the eldritch abominations known as 'The Snails' which fell from the stars to cause chaos.
Started with Doc this morning, and Scar uploaded when I finished Doc, and now Grian upload right when I finish Scar. I also have Gem to look forward to. This season has encouraged me to watch many more hermits, and it so much more fun.
Grian should make a book shelf within the office with a variety of books "explaining" the various tests and terms on the forms, and tell the hermits that they need to go study them, but have a bunch of random similarly named things in the books, and have no (understandable ) organization system for the books, so the hermits have to flip through like a dozen books to find what they are looking for
I love that this season is a lot smaller builds, taking it easy and slowing down. Then enjoying the game and making fine details to make the limited space come alive!
What if you set up more music discs that would randomly play advertisements for the DHP or your own shops when you put someone on hold. Might be a lot of work, but would surely annoy the hermits more during a hold period. You could also make a profit by allowing hermits to sell advertisements to their shops for a high price. Great work on the episode Grian!
This is the best thing we have seen on Hermitcraft. For the past few days, my son keeps asking me "what is the base blooben test?" So I can out him on hold and pretend to be Scar!! 😂😂😂
My mum once phone up whoever it was because the thing on the wrbsite wasnt working. The automated vocie said something along the lines of "you can now do such and such and such and such on the website" and then like promptly hung up on her.
@@rowanahedley9578I had an experience like that a couple weeks ago! I called multuple times and tried everything I could, but it refused to give me over to customer service. Tried giving it a wrong number, absolutely anything I could think of, but no. Nothing. I was gonna say "the absolute worst," but I tried to call the IRS about my tax return during the pandemic when it was 3 months after it should have been in my bamk account and ended up having to call Intuit to see if they had any idea why I wasn't getting my money back, surprisingly actually got a solid theory as to why from them. Got my tax return a whole year or so after submiting it with no explanation from the IRS.
I LOVE the "Work all day" hold music. It makes me so happy to see callbacks to past seasons and Grian music like that :))). Jono knocked it out of the park!!!
You should require Scar to find another Hermit to cosign the form, which also comes with a lenthy form to register as a guarantor. That way Scar has to give someone a favor or bribe to go through the process of that form.
The fact that the jingle of the hold music is from the song “Work” and grain is using the music for exclusively the opposite, is hilarious to me in a way I cannot even begin to describe
You can literally see it throughout the episode. The Blooben Test is actually quite simple and, if you pay attention, you can see what it is (17:58). You can never simply be told what it is. If you ask for nonsense to be clarified, you'll get put on hold (THIS very act physically answers the Blooben Test), and IF you get placed on hold, you have FAILED the Blooben Test. Easy. The "test" is just a test and, if you ask about it, you fail the test. I hope this helps. Much love ❤
I thought of a few ideas with the permits' forms (which maybe other people thought of too, credits to them if that's the case) : - You should make a few questions that can invert or invalidate the other questions. For example, if the Hermits answer yes to "Does the item meet the criteria of the base blooben test ?", they would need to say no to "have you ran around Gem's base 10 times today". If they answered no to the first one, they would then need to say yes to the second one, or else it would be denied. You could make it change the needed answers of previous questions too - You could also set some questions that don't need to be answered if the Hermits said yes or no to the previous ones (or the next questions, so they don't know it in advance), like "Did you mine 3 diamonds in the past few weeks ?* (if yes proceed to page 15)", - Or questions referring to other pages which are not related at all ("How do you feel ? * see page 4" --> "what is your permit neeeded for ?"), just to make things more confusing - And you could also add some sort of survey system in which you ask the Hermits ' opinion in less than 4 words (depending on the answer, you may or may not accept their demand) - Oh and maybe add a verification system in which the Hermits need to prove their identity by filling another form, and make it super slow, like where they need a few minecraft day and night cycles to pass, before telling them if their identity has been confirmed, then that their form has been denied, and they need to wait a few minutes before filling another one (but you close the department for the day right before they finish it)
grian casually going “huh, I didn’t know they could build” at 2:45 is so funny, it’s so reminiscent of the john mulaney horse in a hospital elevator bit to me
Honestly, the Plese Hold music is great to just fish to. Such a bop. But putting Scar on hold every time he asked about the Blooben Test, was fricken hilarious.
If you really want to annoy people at the permit office, make a ticket system that goes up to 200 and whatever number they get they have to wait till you get to that number.
I hate to tell you Grian… but your fishing life in Hermitcraft made me get into fishing in my world, and… I got a mending book before breaking my first unenchanted fishing rod
@@AreJayMC It just goes to show though how close Grian was to getting every single mending book that everyone else was getting but was extremely unlucky. They do drop somewhat frequently ish, just Grian had the worst luck ever
If you want a real challenge next hermitcraft season i got you. Everyone builds seperate bases which eventually makes an entire city every hermitcraft season so hear me out. I think next hermit craft series you guys should challenge yourselves to build only 1 massive mega build town nestled in an extremely large mountian range. You can split up the work based on each others strengths. No individual bases. Every hermit will be bunking together in a massive building like a manor or castle. And all resources are shared. Now the tough part. Everyone has 5 lives. And the world spawns a boss wither every week as well as a small army of mobs that try to destroy your build. Your jobs is to complete the build while defending it from the weekly raid against your city. And just for additional difficulty the wither army will spawn at a random time every week so you can't prepare everyone for it. I call this mode Mega Base Raids.

What they dont know is that the service sign is broken, and permanently stuck on whatever number you chose to display!

the running away from scar bit was even funnier on Gem's end cause it cut out like half a second sooner. she only heard "I've got a reason to speak with you..." and then the reply of "well then i've got even more reason to run away." lol
15:46 it's almost like you gathered every hermit up for a big event and everyone revealed to each other what they had (also I have a hunch that there's probably a discord message or channel recording every permit ownership)

Okay hear me out. Grian needs a ender stasis chamber with a button behind the counter that activates the hold music and teleports him away.

Grian has ended up doing more work than actually just giving the Hermits their Permits
Putting more work to do less work!
Yes, but he gets to frustrate people while doing it. It's like the ultimate prank, so it is a job he enjoys doing.
If he does work now he doesn't have to next time!!!

Much love ❤

I thought of a few ideas with the permits' forms (which maybe other people thought of too, credits to them if that's the case) :
- You should make a few questions that can invert or invalidate the other questions. For example, if the Hermits answer yes to "Does the item meet the criteria of the base blooben test ?", they would need to say no to "have you ran around Gem's base 10 times today". If they answered no to the first one, they would then need to say yes to the second one, or else it would be denied. You could make it change the needed answers of previous questions too
- You could also set some questions that don't need to be answered if the Hermits said yes or no to the previous ones (or the next questions, so they don't know it in advance), like "Did you mine 3 diamonds in the past few weeks ?* (if yes proceed to page 15)",
- Or questions referring to other pages which are not related at all ("How do you feel ? * see page 4" --> "what is your permit neeeded for ?"), just to make things more confusing
- And you could also add some sort of survey system in which you ask the Hermits ' opinion in less than 4 words (depending on the answer, you may or may not accept their demand)
- Oh and maybe add a verification system in which the Hermits need to prove their identity by filling another form, and make it super slow, like where they need a few minecraft day and night cycles to pass, before telling them if their identity has been confirmed, then that their form has been denied, and they need to wait a few minutes before filling another one (but you close the department for the day right before they finish it)
"What's the Blooben test?"
"I'm sorry, I'm not allowed to provide legal advice."
I appreciate Grians commitment to turn hermitcraft into a Kafkian nightmare.

I am loving the Grian, Gem comedic chemistry this season. Here’s to it being this good all season
And make him announce random names and some close to the actual names
Use a random number generator in binary to announce whose turn it is. Have it flip every ten seconds and if they miss it, they need to wait.

I call this mode Mega Base Raids.
this is, by far, the BEST gimmick for hermitcraft. Scar at the permit office had me in TEARS
