- Beware of the parking police. If you stay at a hotel here, you can get a parking permit. There is a separate permit for driving on the beach. There is a loop on tarmac so it’s accessible to wheelchairs. The light is so beautiful- it’s wonderful for painting watercolor landscapes.

Beautiful spot, pretty shells. Nice to have public access to the waterfront.
The parking is tricky but if you aren't afraid of a walk, you can find a free space.
Those shells are a sight to behold. Little treasures deposited at our feet upon the shore. Hugs.

No. But there are bits of interesting history. Like the ship Amistad being stopped at Montauk Point by the US Navy....... 😁. There were lots of shipwrecks too. more ghost stories than mermaid stories. Aloha and Mahalo. Beautiful language.
We have story's of mermaids here in NC.
