  • With 1.0 coming out, I decided to test a few more things in this "last minute." The Mark 6 belts were impressive, and then I thought, "I could do that without the M6 belts." It's not quite the same, obviously, but I calculated how much ore was needed to produce 50 of the first-tier elevator parts. I then placed down half that many manual miners, divided by 100 for each miner's storage capacity. Two Mark-2 belts feed the entire 6-parts per minute production line, all from a single iron node.
This is not the same throughput as a Mark 6 belt, but it does demonstrate a proof of concept. I can pull a lot more ore per minute than the fastest miner. Of course, this only works well for one or two mines that don't need to be constantly running production, such as for elevator parts.

Why am I manually clicking the close button? When I started recording, the Esc key stopped closing the window, so I had to do it manually with the mouse.
