I love how out of ALL of the Final Fantasy games, and instead of going for the the classic era of 1-6, heavy hitters like 7 and onward (except maybe 13 but that's an entirely different conversation), or even some of the more well-known spin-offs like WoFF or Dissidia, you go with the one NES game that a lot of people don't even _like._ I just find that really funny for some reason. Anyway, I love how you still keep up with those electronic and guitar sounds, but I swear the horns decided to just go OFF in this remix. I've noticed you slowly incorporating them more and more since (roughly) the Boss Raid era, though they definitely were amped up here. And YinYarn from the hit game Kirby's Epic Yarn commissioned this??? Well I'll be damned.
I didn't even know this game existed until now -- but I'm certainly never going to forget this remix, because god damn!! Incredibly based to see you acknowledge such a retro soundtrack, I'd say you really did this track justice. I hope this means we can see some more Final Fantasy stuff on the channel moving forward, Nobuo Uetmatsu in your style could be a serious combo! 👀
