With a shit ton of money and Restock, the shop is more valuable in terms of items than going to Boss Rush. And that's assuming you could make it to Boss Rush in time. No reason to skip the shop.
What's everybody's problem with Eden runs? I find them more interesting than any other character except possibly Isaac (because more curated runs = more fun) and Apollyon (void has a few cool uses (succ boss rush or double item rooms), lets you put bad items to good use, and also lets you create fun active items).
Starting with 2, potentially 3, items tends to make you overpowered in Isaac with the exception of a handful of items that don't seem to show up much. It kills all the tension in the run most of the time. That's why the Antibirth series was nice, because he had to work for his wins even as Eden
Bossrush which has a high chance of giving shit items or trying to get magic mush by taking a minute or 2 blowing up mushrooms. There are 2 isaac players, the Egg's (care about time and things like bossrush) or the ones who take their time to maximize their run
