The first meiotic division results in two daughter cells,and again these two newly form daughter cells undergo meiosis 2?Am I right mam I am always confused about mitosis and meiosis
probably too late to matter, but correct. in MITOSIS, nuclear division only occurs once, so two total daughter cells are created. in MEIOSIS, nuclear division will happen twice, so four total daughter cells are created - two from meiosis 1, and then both of those intermediates from meiosis 1 will undergo nuclear division again to divide into 4 total daughter cells
