Looks absolutely beautiful there! We are the Nelmark family from Finland and also the Ohukainens who moved to America and became the Mattson’s ( Matti Ohukainen). Would love to visit but it looks very similar to Minnesota.
Kerrassaan hienoa työtä tämän videon tekeminen. Upea kuvaus suomalaisesta kansanperinteestä, josta vain harva saa nykyisin nauttia ylellisyytenä. Savun ja vihdan tuoksu tuoksu, lempeiden löylyjen kera, tulivat melkein läpi näytöltä :)
I can understand the traditionalism of a Finnish sauna but what a huge hassle. Get new tech sauna wood stove some lava rock and have a nice hot sauna in like an hour and no shoveling of coals. Just saying wait 4hrs for sauna no thanks.
I guess he is living a fullest life. He enjoys it. You must be a city folk with busy schedules. I know some city folks use iPhone fireplace to heat their Christmas. I called that IChristmas .
I can tell you that you dont have a clue. Its true that sauna stove is easy and fast, but the sauna and "löyly", humidity etc. itself is totally different. Normal sauna-goers could be blindfolded and they could easily tell the difference between an electric sauna, wooden sauna or a smoke sauna for example.
You are an ignorant clueless fool who doesn't understand the point of life and value indigenous culture and our ancestral traditions. Smoke sauna is a ritual for special occasions and used in the traditional Finnish healings system and practice, it has a very different effect on the body than a simple wood sauna which I'm certain this man also has one for simple sauna times. The ignorance in what you wrote is beyond measure. In Finland we value such practices and quality over quantity and we are lucky we still have such traditions left after being colonized by the Sweds and Russians sauna especially the smoke sauna is on the UNESCO cultural heritage list and is such a beautiful thing. When one practices sauna one can attain true peace and relaxation and healing. Also the tar created by the smoke is very detoxifying and the quality of the air and heat is so much better it penetrates deeper into the Bones. Sauna is sacred in Finland more important than churches and more real and authentic.
Hello, We are the team from the new variety show "Living in Finland's rented room" on tvN, a South Korean television network. Our program was filmed this summer in Kemijärvi and Posio in Finnish Lapland with famous korean actors like Cha Eun-woo, Kwak Dong-yeon, Lee Je-hoon and Lee Dong-hwi. We would like to inquire about using this video to introduce the feature of Sauna. I would appreciate it if you could reply regarding the use of the source. Thank you! p.s. If you need more information we could email you!

In remote villages in Chuvashia there are also smoke saunas. They are especially popular among elderly people.
Pushkin Sergei smoke or steam
Hieno video!
Terve Heikki Bravo, Kiitos Hyvaa your are a Star Marvellous FINLANDIA
Jotkut sanovat, että savusauna on ainoa todellinen sauna.
