- Hey guys, I have recently visited to Aurangabad to explore some historic places like Ajanta & Ellora caves, Daulatabad Fort, Aurangabad caves, etc.
Aurangabad is a city in the synonymous Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. Named after the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb, Aurangabad is a tourist hub of Maharashtra thanks to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves that lie on its outskirts. Bibi ka Maqbara, which bears resemblance to the Taj Mahal is an important historical monument in Aurangabad.

Aurangabad is an important city in the state of Maharashtra, India. It sees a lot of international tourist traffic due to world heritage sites, Ajanta & Ellora caves. Aurangabad, a dream destination of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, founded in 1610, is known today, as one of the four important cities in Maharashtra. The city is heading towards rapid industrial growth, but retains its past glory and charms, heritage and traditions. Conspicuously seen on the Deccan plateau, it has a rich culture and a plethora of magnificent arts on display.
This city is the administrative headquarters of the Marathwada region and is known as the ‘City of Gates’. Of the 52 gates that dotted the medieval city only four major ones and nine subordinate ones survive today. While the city changed several hands, it finally got its current name when Aurangzeb took over the Deccan kingdoms and named it after himself in 1653.For the Mughals, Aurangabad was an important town since it served as a strategic point to suppress the rising power of Shivaji. Aurangabad was taken over by the Nizam of Hyderabad after the death of Aurangazeb in 1707 and was part of the Princely State of Hyderabad during the British Raj. It was annexed into the Union of India after 1947 and was part of Hyderabad until 1956 when it was merged with the Bombay state and eventually the state of Maharashtra in 1960.

Yes you can, the distance is 100kms, so it's up to you.
If you are renting a bike then they will charge you a little bit more.

If I know that u were coming to aurangabad then we would have met....
CAN YOU SUGGEST MODE OF TRANSPORT IF ANY TO TRAVEL INSIDE THE CAVES FOR A SENIOR CITIZEN OR DISABLED PERSON? ARE THERE ANY MECHANICAL MODES OF TRANSPORT TO GO AROUND INSIDE THE CAVES? YOU WOULD APPRECIATE THAT IT WILL BE DIFFICULT FOR SUCH A PERSON TO COVER EVERYTHING BY FOOT.
In ellora caves there is a battery operated bus which lets you side see inside caves. Ajanta doesn't have that option.

For scooty rent, you can contact on the given number.
You can take your scooty till ajanta caves but its 3 hours ride (nonstop)
So I would suggest you to go by bus instead of bike.

I have visited Ellora caves long back. There wasn't any such restriction at least when I visited.
Never visited Bibi Ka Maqbara, so I can't comment on it.

Aapke yaha se travels wale buses nikalte honge to unse booking kar sakte hai, or else chandur bazar railway station se every Friday evening me train hai usse travel kar sakte hai till Aurangabad. 😊
Just wanted to know is there any particular dress code(eg. saree, suit etc.) for any places to visit in Aurangabad?
Only grishneswar temple have dress code and it is also decent cloths that's it.

प्राचीन परभणी शहर शिव की पत्नी पार्वती और विष्णु पत्नी लक्ष्मी यहा साथ मिलकर शहर निर्माण किया था इसलिये इसका नाम प्रभावती नगरी था यहा प्राचीन काल में गुफा में बैठकर भगवान नृसिंह ने तप किया था
वही जगह नृसिंह पोखर्णी के नाम से जानी जाती है । बाद में इंद्र को शाप से मुक्ती के लिये इसी नृसिंह मंदीर में तप किया था । भगवान प्रल्हाद की माॅं कयाधु परभणी के तालुका हिंगोली शहर जन्म हुआ था । प्राथरी शहर पांडु पुञ अर्जुन ने बसाया था । परभणी जिल्है में प्रभावती गोपी का जन्म हुआ बाद में वह गोकुल में उसका ब्याह हो गया उनकी बाल गोपाल कृष्ण के साथ बहुत सारी लीला कथा है । भगवान राम और लक्ष्मण सिता को धुडते पंचवटी नाशिक से परभणी शहर तक आये और पहा के जंगलो से विराम कर के आगे कर्नाटक किष्किंधा प्रांत में गये थे
