The moment that Alex started ticking off the many times that Lena was shady was just the tip of the iceberg...then she actually pressed the button to mind control everyone(yes she was shown telling Hope not to sacrifice herself) but only to use her as a scapegoat in the end...I also loved how Lena says “sometimes the good guys lose” meaning she is The Good Guy...just like when Lex says at the end that he was always The Hero...bad guys don’t always know they are the bad guys...
acm966 it’s been said many times that she wasn’t doing all of this with malicious intent. Even when malefic stood up in Lena’s defense. The writers and Katie Mcgrath herself said that Lena is not evil. That’s not how the writers wrote her character, and that’s that. She’s done shady things, sure. But none of those to harm others. She always thought she was doing good. Also, she only used Eve as a scrap goat because she hurt her when she said they werent friends. That’s why she let her go fix the myriad shit. Lena. Is. Not. Evil. And that’s canon. :)
